Hi everyone! Checking into CBR this Saturday, I'm sooo excited to finally stay here for the first time! Requested the Jamaica section when I checked in online, so hoping for a refurbed room! :thumbsup2

Anyway, I have a question...since it's kind of Halloween season already, I wanted to decorate my window with a little Halloween theme, nothing crazy, just some lights maybe and some window clings. Is this possible at CBR? I don't mean is it allowed, I mean, is it physically possible? When I stayed at POR a few years ago, I was all set to decorate my window, and I couldn't get to it because it had these huge wooden blinds on it. Does CBR have anything like that? If so, I won't bother bringing any decorations, just thought one of you guys might know!

Thanks! :cool1:

You should be good to go! CBR just has curtains.

Hi all, My wife and I really weren't a fan of the rooms at CBR pre-refurbishment, but really like the look of them now. We are trying to decide which resort we'll stay at for our upcoming April/May 2015 trip. I know the refurbishment details (as much as we know, anyway) have been outlined in this thread, but I wanted to reach out and see if anyone had an educated guess on when they think the entire resort will be updated? I saw it was guesstimated the preferred locations might be done by the end of December. So, if I am correct, would that then leave half of Trinidad South (since the other half are pirate rooms) to be done? Seems likely it'd be done before our trip, then. We'd just be booking a normal room with 2 beds for us and our little guy (for his first trip). Just trying to piece this together and would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

They have just started on Barbados, and a village takes 2-3 months to complete. That means they may just be starting Martinique in December, then moving on to Trinidad North. I would say maybe February is a cautiously early timeline, but I personally expect it to be sometime in March.

Also, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't ALL of Trinidad South pirate rooms?

Just wanted to shout out a big thank you to everyone for all of the information on this thread. We just got back from a wonderful 8 night stay at CBR. I faxed in a request about a week before check-in, requesting Jamaica 45, outside corner room, and 2nd floor if possible. When we stepped off the ME bus, there was a CM standing there holding an Ipad with our family name on it. He checked us in right there on the sidewalk, and we were given everything that I had requested! :cool1: It was an amazing way to start our vacation! CBR is truly a beautiful resort, but I think the new refurbished rooms could use just a little more color (just my opinion).

Right there on the sidewalk! I'm impressed. :)

We're flying out of Midway a bit later Saturday morning!! I'm so excited, I can barely keep focused on finishing up any work :yay:

Tried to edit my requests online check in, and there greyed out, does this mean something? Should I try again tomorrow?

If you've already selected two requests, they can't be changed. You would have to call and add them to your reservation.
