Does anyone know if the Peak Tea machines are also RFID controlled?

Can't wait only 14 days to go.:cool1: Started packing my luggage has to be loaded by the 16th into my parents car, they take the Auto Train and all the luggage so we avoid luggage fees when we fly.:thumbsup

Peak Tea was not RFID last summer. I'm not sure it it has changed since then.

I wouldn't worry at all about the snakes. the groundskeepers would of course have any venomous snakes taken care of, but they are smart to leave the non-venomous snakes like garter, king and bull snakes as they will keep down the rodent population (aside from Mickey's immediate family). Think of them like they are reptile Cast Members, working behind the scenes to make your stay better.

They weren't during our May/June, 2014 trip:

Aargh. Frost on the windshield this morning. Guess who is ready to go to WDW and CBR?

Frost here In eastern Alberta, too. Sadly, there's no WDW trip planned for this winter either. Just had 2 kids graduate from university, so we're in recovery mode.

Wow so not ready for frost yet! It's going to 90 here in Michigan today.

Wow. We were having some very nice weather too but at the end of August it was as if someone flipped a switch and fall was suddenly here. Hoping its nice enough to take our sailboat out once more at least. :)

I almost envy those of you who are already having cooler weather. Notice that I said "almost" because I certainly wouldn't want ya'll's Winter weather. We are still in the upper 90s with heat index of 105 here in North Louisiana. It will probably stay pretty warm here for a while.

If I booked a water view room, do I still have to select Water View as one of my requests for check in? Or can I use my 2 options for something else?

I've never booked water view but I would think that you would choose two options for something else since you've already paid for the water view.

Milk was available on the very back row of condiments, left had side as you look at it , close to the coffee opposite end to the mug wash. It was an independent machine & you could pour as much as you required. No free peanut butter as far as I recall. HTH

milk or juice are not included with the refillable mugs. you are referring to the milk for the coffee or tea.

the POOL is NOT closed! only the kiddie splash area.

Just thought I'd toss in my "weather report" for my spot of our lovely country. We live about 1.5 hours west of Toronto, Ontario and our summer has been very unpredictable, going from "OMG it's too hot to sleep" to "EEK where is my hoody" one day to the next :confused3

This week has been so hot & muggy that I've been hiding out in front of the only A/C we have even though it means balancing the laptop on a pillow and putting the mouse pad on a stack of magazines :rotfl2: Today the forecast is calling for a high of (in American speak) 88 but feeling like it's over 100 -- way too hot for this gal! I can't wait for more "liveable" weather in 51 days as i lay in a hammock at the CBR -- can you tell how excited i am??

I totally agree with you. I would especially love for the humidity to be low but in south louisiana that most likely won't be possible. Lol!

Looking forward to little warmer weather. Here in rural Wyoming it's 54° at 10:30 in the morning. The high supposed to be 60 something. Office is usually chilly but today I'm snuggled up to the space heater.

I didn't find any milk available at the drinks stand, only half & half which is only suitable for coffee. I had to buy a pint of milk from the shop; cost me $1.69, and I kept it in our room fridge all week.

I've not seen any milk available either except for in the containers that are for sell. Like you said, there is half & half in the tiny cups but that's all that I saw. I just went back and looked at the pictures that I took and I didn't see any in the pictures either and I took a lot of them.

This is pretty much what we do. We just buy a quart when we arrive and have it for our coffee in the room and just pour some into our mugs before heading over to OPR for coffee there. :)

No. The activities calendars come out on the 1st-2nd for that the month.

Just wanted to pop in and let you guys know that I'm about to post some another CBR detail picture post on my trip report if anybody is interested. Also, my friend, Jensieb is going to post new CBR room pictures when she gets a chance!

Hi everyone,

Just thought I would share my thoughts on the new CBR. Stayed 8/25 to 8/30 in Jamaica 4401 - renovated room with no Murphy Bed but queens not doubles:cool1::cool1:- parking lot view (actually view of fenced in construction area).

Although I liked the old design better (more colorful) the room was still nice. (Sorry I haven't posted enough to be able to share photos.) We had Mickey head on bed when we checked in and were left one additional towel animal during our stay.

I was a bit disappointed in the air conditioning - the room was a little warm when all the family was moving around (and I get cold easy and I never felt cold at all - sometimes I was actually hot in the room) and for DH it was uncomfortable even when sleeping. (We keep our AC units set to 60 degrees (window units not central) and the air in the new rooms does not go below 68 degrees). Manager said this is new standard in the renovated rooms.

Bus service was quick we never waited more than 15 minutes for a bus. Overall it was nice to go back "home" - but may do some research before next trip to see if any Disney rooms can have air set to lower temperature. Makes me sad because of the all the Disney hotels CBR is my favorite.
