We're 10 days away from our trip, and have a preferred room booked. Does anyone know if it's possible to switch to one of the renovated rooms? We're going to have 4 adults in a room, so the queen beds would be a nice upgrade.

It would depend on if there are standard rooms available for you to downgrade. Probably better to check now rather than wait until you get there. (Though given the response most people have gotten to the queen bed question is "Those can't be booked yet", I would just call to downgrade to a standard room and REQUEST Jamaica. Yep, even if you downgrade, there is no guarantee you will get a refurbed room.

We are coming in to the home stretch and will be at CBR soon (our first ever Disney visit - we are from Australia) I can hardly contain my excitement!!! I cant wait for my little girl to be in shock that she is actually at Mickeys House!!

Sorry I had to get some of my excitement out!!!

That's so Exciting!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:I hope you have a Magical Trip!!!pixiedust:

I am guessing more medium roast but I am an plain dunkin donuts (lighter roast) fan so I may not be much of a help.

Thanks for the picture!! How many of the packs do they leave in the room each day? thanks

I wouldn't downgrade now. As the renovated rooms are not a bookable category, you will have no way of knowing if you will get one or not. Wait until you get there, and ask if there is one available. Otherwise you could end up in a older room in a non-preferred location.

:thumbsup2 I would go this route, as well.

Where does Martinique fall in the bus pick up loop? Our trip is during Easter(April 3-11). I know it will be packed then. Just wondering if we will be stuck standing each morning since I want to book preferred and
plan to request Martinique.

Roll-a-way bed question - is the room large enough that the roll-a-way can be left out each day or does it have to be folded? Is there plenty of room to get around one? Thanks.

From the transportation section of page #1:

The order of pick up or drop off depends on which entrance the bus driver uses. If the bus comes in the side entrance the order is:

Jamaica
Aruba
Barbados
Martinique
OPR
Trinidad North
Trinidad South

If the bus comes in the main entrance the order is:

Martinique
OPR
Trinidad North
Trinidad South
Jamaica
Aruba
Barbados

I check in three weeks from today! Eeeekkk! I hope I get my requests!

I also hope I can check in when I get there.

We are 28 days away and our kids (2, 7 and 8) have no clue. We already went to Disneyland this year, so they have no idea we are going to Disney World too. I got an airfare deal I couldn't pass up ($180 total for all 5 of us) and the free dining! The day we leave, we are going to "drive them to school". When we are in front of the school, we are going to ask them if they want to skip for the day. Then we will tell them where we are really headed (the airport)!

What a great idea to surprise them that way!! And...what an awesome airfare deal!! :thumbsup2

It's tough holding on to that secret! We did that several years ago and didn't tell our son until we were about 30 miles from Disney (our drive is 14-15 hours). Let us know how the surprise reveal goes.

I surprised DW with a birthday (a major one-not saying more) trip a few years ago. I got her boss onside making sure of getting the time off, secretly booked the flights, all was good. Then the Mickey Mail arrived and she saw it first. "Surprise", I tried lamely after the fact! She was thrilled and to be honest, I doubt that I could have kept quiet much longer anyway! :)

Definitely this!:thumbsup2

This list is good, but how do you know which entrance a particular bus will take? For instance, do the DHS and Epcot buses typically take one entrance and the MK take another? :confused3

You don't know for sure. It is not a set thing. It all depends on which entrance the bus driver decides to use. There's no correlation of park X buses always use X entrance.

We are looking to book one night at CBR in December before our DVC stay (BWV and VWL) . What room category would give the best chance at getting a refurbed room with the murphy bed ? We love Jamaica btw, is that preferred now ?
They have great annual pass holder rates right now for late fall / early winter at CBR........... $135. for a standard per night, and $165. for preferred. Thinking of just getting the preferred for one night ..........should be worth the extra $30. and hopefully get a refurbed room too !

Jamaica is not preferred, and the preferred rooms in Martinique and Trinidad North have not been refurbished yet. I would book a standard or water view room, and put in a request for a room in Jamaica or Aruba with a murphy bed.

Any advice for Mears? Were taking a day to travel to Island of Adventure. Thank you.

Just got back. Love this resort! We had a renovated room in Jamaica. It was awesome, still had that "new" smell. All of Jamaica is done, and they are working on Aruba now.
