Not all the rooms with murphy beds at POR are Preferred. The Preferred buildings are 14, 15, 18 and 27. Buildings 16, 17, 24, 25, 26, 28, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38 and 39 are not Preferred and they all have murphy beds.

You make it sound like all rooms at POR with Murphy beds are Preferred. That is not the case. You can book a Standard room and still get a Murphy bed.

If all the rooms in Jamaica had them and no other Villages did then I could see them making Jamaica Preferred.

Hey there everybody! Count me in on the Beach Bum list! I will be down on Nov. 30 to Dec. 6! (I am staying 11/28-11/30 at ASMovies to avoid the higher holiday weekend prices.)

I have my lime Mickey on my luggage tag and I love to decorate the windows with gel clings or party streamers, etc.

Am I the only who wouldn't be upset if I got an unrefurbed room? I actually can't decide if I want a refurbed room or not. I previously didn't really look too close at CBR because the room decor didn't really appeal to me primarily the bedspread. I am definitely one who is happy all the ugly bedspreads are gone across property. Then I finally saw pics of the rooms with just the white bedding and the runner, now I really liked the room design, especially the green-whitewashed furniture. But I also like the new designs I have seen for the new rooms. The bed size doesn't matter, I am traveling solo. The only thing I would NOT want would be the pirate rooms.

Would someone be so kind as to post the link to where you can go in and see what rooms have 2 beds/1 bed and where they are located. I know I have seen it somewhere but cant seem to find it. Thank You so Much.

Here you go. Be aware the website is not 100% accurate. At least for CBR it's not, quite a few mistakes.

I called reservations and requested buildings 44 or 45. Will make the request again during online check in. I had a long and wonderful chat with the agent, love it when they're excited about my trip! Will definitely keep looking at updates on this thread, great way to connect with people in the know

when I went to do online check in there was no where to put in specific buildings. only specific villages?

smidgy is correct, you can only request a village. Please see post #10 for details.

Not yet. Maybe sometime next year is what I understand.

Not yet. There's been no word on when they will be available to book.

I am guessing more medium roast but I am an plain dunkin donuts (lighter roast) fan so I may not be much of a help.

I wanted to add that we requested Jamaica and Ground Floor in the online check-in for our stay starting August 17th, and got both requests.

The room was nice, but quite unDisney-like. There was no hint of Disney within the room except for the time we received a towel Mickey on the bed. We had a corner room in building 43 with the two windows, but no Murphy bed. I think a picture, or shower curtain, or a slightly themed runner at the end of the bed may make the room a little more in keeping with the mods we've stayed at before.

On another slight downer, we found the rooms to be shoddily renovated. I co-own a general contracting company, and can't help but notice when things are installed improperly. The new faucets were the worst offenders, and that will create problems down the road for the resort. We did call maintenance to let them know that the taps were already leaking and spinning on their bases, and there was a general "yeah, we know" attitude.

I just wanted to say hello neighbor! We are in King, NC.

We are coming in to the home stretch and will be at CBR soon (our first ever Disney visit - we are from Australia) I can hardly contain my excitement!!! I cant wait for my little girl to be in shock that she is actually at Mickeys House!!

First time here. We are 60 day's out.who hoo! Can't wait to see what it's like to stay on-site. My kids are so excited, and can't wait to check out the pools! First time staying at a resort, and this is our 4th trip to disney!

I just came back Tues 8/26 I stayed in Jamica 46,Its only 50ft away from Jamica 45,and Jamica 44.So these sections are close to each other Bus service was ok.Sometimes jamica was first and sometimes last.

It's tough holding on to that secret! We did that several years ago and didn't tell our son until we were about 30 miles from Disney (our drive is 14-15 hours). Let us know how the surprise reveal goes.

We are 28 days away and our kids (2, 7 and 8) have no clue. We already went to Disneyland this year, so they have no idea we are going to Disney World too. I got an airfare deal I couldn't pass up ($180 total for all 5 of us) and the free dining! The day we leave, we are going to "drive them to school". When we are in front of the school, we are going to ask them if they want to skip for the day. Then we will tell them where we are really headed (the airport)!
