We stayed at CBR last December during a cheerleading competition. There were definitely cheerleaders throughout the resort, but for the most part, they were quite well behaved. We noticed that they were generally put in the same section (Jamaica), so we didn't see them around our actual room (Martinique). They were definitely all over OPR, but we really weren't bothered. We enjoyed seeing their excitement.

Only a few minor negatives that I can think of: the parking situation in Jamaica 41-43, as I mentioned before; the WiFi leaves a bit to be desired, and holy loud A/C units! While I like that they aren't the motion sensor kind they could definitely stand to be a little quieter!

How did you manage to do so much posting if the WiFi is poor?Hubby works for himself so laptop is coming with I have visions of having to drive around to other resorts so we can sit in their lobby!!

He will not be a happy camper if the a/c is noisy ... do they cut in & out all night or just remain at a jet-engine level??

Whoa, don't know where I've been, but I am really steamed about the splash area being closed. I think dh is even more mad than I am. We're going with a 5, 3, and 1 year old. No emails or anything?? Thanks, Disney. Dh is making a call. Not really sure what it will accomplish, but he's not a happy camper.

I've been using the data plan on my phone to post for the most part. The internet is okay to upload maybe 1 photo at a time but it's really slow and I have to keep disconnecting and reconnecting.

As far as the air, it turns on and off during the night.

After lurking for months finally registered in hopes to solve a BOG FP problem.

Please add me to the list - Sept 15 - 20th.

We booked CBR over AOA for the splash pad (and not be surrounded by Little Mermaid 24/7) but is now closed on my dates. Saw a few others were going to call and complain. Did you get anywhere with Disney?

I'm under 30 days from my vacation and all offers are expired so it would cost a significant amount to change hotels when the sole reason for "upgrading" to moderate is now closed. Trying to see if it is even worth it to call.

Does anyone know if they sell magic band accessories in the CBR gift shop? (Ie MagicBandits) I want some for my upcoming trip in September and could buy them online but I think it would be more fun in person on our first day at the resort. TIA!

Yes they do! I bought two sets of the jeweled Mickey heads on my first day.

Hello all! Well, our 15 year wedding anniversary (and anniversary of my first time at WDW) will be next summer! I think we will do a split stay of CBR and Yacht Club. I haven't been to CBR in more than 2 years, so I have a question for those who have recently stayed: is Root Beer available in any of the soda fountain dispensers? Thanks!

ps-LOVE the look of the new rooms and I can hear the island music already playing!

I called and complained, as the splash pad was a major reason for staying there. we have a 6 year old and a 20 mo old (at time of travel). i got no where. my travel agent got no where. the only thing we could have done was upgrade at our own expense and keep our free dining. not worth the 2K extra it would cost us. we're bummed. i'm trying to get over it, but when we've been planning this trip for almost a year it's hard! but we'll be at disney and we'll be together as a family. i'm trying to keep that in mind.
ps - i like how edit 'sounded like an entitled jerk' cause that's how i felt when i first heard about the closure and was ranting to my DH.

You could attempt to call and change resorts - people for your dates may have cancelled on their FD offers at some of the values and if you're changing resorts you would keep whatever offer you already had attached to your reservation. If your sole reason to upgrade to a mod was the splash pad - you could at least save a little bit even if you upgraded your dining.

I took pictures of the drink station and I believe dansdad posted them on the first page.

**Edited: I went back to look and the picture is there but I don't see root beer in the pictures. Having said that, I could have sworn that it was available but it may have been in bottles.
