Yeah, I knew that they didn't take TIW here before we came, so it really wasn't a big deal. More like wishful thinking, haha! We were really surprised about Coronado taking TIW at Pepper market. It's not listed at all, but they took it with no problem each and every time we ate there. I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask when we were here at CBR. You just never know!

Has anyone been able to book a room for 5? sorry If this has been answered I just got off a 12 hour shift an did not go back to read

Hi! Can I be added to the roll call please? We're staying Sept 20-27. This is our first time at CBR, and first time at a moderate resort! We originally chose POR but switched to CBR to get Free Dining, but the more read about it the more excited I am for our stay here. The refurbished rooms especially look very nice! And my DDs LOVE the beach, so I'm sure they'll be thrilled.

We switched also to get the free dining. My girls were disappointed, we had a Royal Room booked originally, but free dining savings is the best. We will be here the 18-28th of September. My daughters have decided mom made the right choice especially if they get a Murphy bed and don't have to share a bed.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Hello...We are from the other side of NY near Buffalo...We will be there Sept 13-21.

Can I please be added to the roll call? Our dates are Dec 22-26, this will be our first Christmas trip and we are so excited. We haven't stayed at CBR since 2009, but it has always been our favorite. TIA.

Greetings! New user, long-time theme park advocate. We leave for CBR next Sat for our first stay there. My wife and I spent 11 years in Orlando; she was a CM for 8 years (F!/parade at studios then Pirates at MK). I spent all 11 years at Universal managing merch locations. Very excited to go back and see the changes (moved in 2012), especially as our daughter is now 41 inches and can do nearly everything. Trip dates are Aug 16-23; can't come fast enough!:)

Taking advantage of free dining and celebrating my dd's 21st bday! We are going to drink around the world:)
We will be staying December 14-17.
Thanks for the add!

I think I saw that the feature pool is open from 10am-10pm.

During the off season for swimming, the pool hours are 10a-10p. However, during peak swimming season they are 9a-11p.

Does this mean that the pool is roped off like at BC/YC or does it mean that the slide isn't turned on and there's no lifeguard like POFQ & POR?

Both. There is a fence surrounding the main feature pool and once the lifeguards leave the slides are closed and the fence is locked.

Is swimming allowed 24hr/day at the quiet pools?

Yes.

There are no elevators in any buildings, correct??

Correct.
Wheelchair rentals from offsite companies are dropped at Bell Services in the Custom House, correct? Same with grocery orders?

Correct. And once those items are received, you can call Bell Services and have them deliver your items to your room.

Make sure you check out the 1st page of this thread as the answers to your questions are all there. Plus you'll probably get the answers to more questions. :thumbsup2

Well, it's now official!!

We are going to CBR for our 8th stay, November 7-14, 2015. Just made the reservation this morning.

It feels great knowing we have a trip coming up, even if it is a looooonnng ways off! :)

Whoohoo! Congrats! I've added your dates.

Does anyone know what time the hottub is open at?

The same time as the main feature pool, 9AM during peak swimming season and 10A during off peak swimming season.

We will need a cab for one early morning ADR. Do we need to go over to Custom House? Is it possible to get a cab to collect us at our building?

No need to go to The Custom House. If you call a cab or if you have Bell Services call you a cab they will come pick you up at the circular drive of your building.

Can I be added to the roll call please 18th oct - 29th oct. So excited!! We are coming from Australia

Welcome! Your dates have been added.

We have done a bus and a cab for this...my advice is CAB for sure. They drop you right in front of The Poly for $15. More than worth it.

Completely agree with this. :thumbsup2

Add me to the list! We are going 9/20-9/27! It is my 2nd stay at CBR but my family's 1st. We usually go every other year but decided on one last trip before my youngest becomes a Disney Adult! POR would have been my 1st choice but free dining changed my plans! Looking for to CBR because the last time I was there was 1992! I don't remember it much at all!

You've been added! I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised with CBR after all these years.

We'll be there in 6 days!!!! :cool1: We check in on 8/16!! I want to pay our purchases via the magic bands with gift cards. Do I need to go to the customs house every time I want to pay the balance, or can I do this at the concierge desk? Also, can I print boarding passes at the concierge desk as well? Thanks

Enjoying this thread we are pondering between two adjoining rooms at Caribbean Beach for fall of 2015 or Art of Animation Finding Nemo family suite. My kids will be two 9 year olds a 6 year old and a 5 year old then. We spend a lot of time at the pool wondering the depth of the slide and if its difficult to watch kids in the main pool and off in the little kid area at the same time.

As a PP mentioned, you would want to ask for connecting rooms. Adjoining rooms are rooms in close proximity to each other. Connecting rooms have the interior door connecting the two rooms together. Please note that connecting rooms is just a request and not something you can book. They will do everything they can to get you connecting rooms, but it is not guaranteed.

What villages and buildings are currently renovated at this time? We are due in 12 days and I had requested Martinique or North Trinidad, but am willing to move in favor of renovated room.:)

Please check out post #1 for the most up to date refurb status.

Please add me to the Roll Call. Sept 13 - 20.

4 times a year whether I need to or not..........trips to CBR that is.

Welcome! You've been added.

It's getting close to my on-line check in date (hold me down i'm so excited!) and i have a few questions. It is my understanding that currently Jamaica is finished being renovated? By looking at the map on the 1st page of this thread it seems to me that this might be a preferred area?? I've only booked a standard room with a King bed (that screams holiday to me -- no kicking from the "over-active" hubby :rotfl2:)

Huhm i can be long-winded -- what i need is a room that is removed from the smoking area due to allergies and from crowds due to my bi-polar (i need to be able to wind down at the end of a busy day). Should i call to get these things noted or wait till we check-in? They are not "true" medical reasons but important. We will be arriving by 8 a.m. and are more than prepared to wait for a suitable room :thumbsup2

Yes, Jamaica has been completed. I would call and add your room requests to your reservation. Rooms are assigned 2-3 days out so it's best to get them noted on your reservation before then.

Well, tonight is our last night here. Tomorrow, we will be headed home. This resort has been great! Like I said before, we are AP holders and come a lot. (At least 6-7 times a yr) We've stayed in every resort but OKW, Poly, Contemporary, BLT, and GF. Me and my son are more go, go, go all over the place, and my husband is one to just stay back at the resort and relax a good bit. Disney works great for us, the best of both worlds! We do not like to stay in the same resort twice in a row. CBR always has a fantastic rate for AP holders. I was always hesitant to stay here because of the size of the resort and bad reviews. Those bad reviews are just crazy! Yes, the resort is big, and their are a lot of bus stops, but it really does not take long. And I can say, just compare trying to get to the parks from WL, and see how long it takes! That is a nightmare! They stop at the campground, too. And those bus rides are WAY longer than CBR! The layout of CBR is very easy, just follow the path around the lake. It always will lead you wherever you want to go. Also, you are never far from parking either. So, that works great for unloading your car. Just compare that to say Boardwalk, for example!! My one and only complaint is that the food court does not accept TIW. I know Shutters does, but not the QS here. And all of the values, Coronado, and POFQ does. We do usually eat a lot of QS meals at our resort while on vacation. But that is the only complaint! I know everyone who will be staying here soon will have a fabulous time here. We will be back!!:)

Thanks for all your pictures, updates and thoughts of CBR! I could not agree any more with what you said here. Ever since our first stay at CBR we have been hooked and still cannot understand some of the bad reviews.

It's been over 20 years since we have stayed at CBR so I'm sorry if this is a question that has been answered multiple times- but where are the standard rooms at CBR? We were hoping to stay Martinique or Trinidad but didn't know those were considered preferred rooms. We have a standard booked.

Welcome to the thread! Make sure you check out the 1st page of the thread as it will most likely answer all your questions. :thumbsup2

Has anyone been able to book a room for 5? sorry If this has been answered I just got off a 12 hour shift an did not go back to read

No, not yet. And no word as to when that will be available.

Welcome! I've added your dates. I think you're going to enjoy your first moderate stay at CBR. It is our favorite moderate by far.

We are taking our first trip to Disney March 28-April 3, 2015:). We loved the look of Caribbean Beach for when we wanted some down time from the parks. Now we are even more excited about the refurbishments! Please add us to the roll call...so glad we found this site! :):cheer2:

No need to go to the Custom House, just visit the Concierge Desk at OPR.

Also, can I print boarding passes at the concierge desk as well? Thanks

No, either at the Resort Airline Counter or you will have them hanging on your door the morning of check out along with your statement.
