We will be at CBR in October. It is out first stay at the resort. In the past we have always depended on the Food Court of our resort to grab a few quick meals during the week. I have read some pretty discouraging reviews about the food court at CBR. Should I plan on trying to grab meals elsewhere or are the reviews exaggerated? Any advice is appreciated. BTW, it's mostly a random lunch we do at the resort.

In all of our stays at the CBR, we have never had what we would consider a bad meal. Everything has been fresh and tasty. In my opinion, there's no need to go elsewhere if you are looking for a quick meal.

Staying 9/20-9/27, 2014. It's my second trip to Disney, and first time on-property, and I am so stinking excited! I can't wait for my daughter to experience everything.

I agree with mickeystoontown - I've never had a bad meal at the CBR food court! Other resorts I've had meh food (one value, one DVC), but never at CBR.

Looking forward to our trip - we're there 3rd-18th of next month: woo!! Quick q: do they have the washing line in the shower? When we stayed at Pop Century there was a retractable line that could be drawn across the bath tub, just wondered if there was one in CBR.

I just did my online check in and requested the Jamaica section! I was tempted to put 2nd floor as my other request, but I don't want to be too demanding, because I'm really hoping to get into the Jamaica section! I've never done a request with online check in though, I've always called, so I hope this works!

I usually always get what I request for my online check in. So good luck, and post lots of pics!

That's how I feel. I've seen mixed reviews for EVERY restaurant where we have reservations. A lot of them I have been to and enjoyed very much when others did not. We are easy to please, and we are going to be at Disney World. I'm happy just to be there!!

Unless it's changed during the refurb, there is a retractable line just over the tub. I used it many times to dry out swim suits.

Yep, madouceamie: We will be staying at the CBR for the first time from November 18th to the 26th, so will probably cross paths somewhere along the line. I am a little apprehensive due to the bad reviews given on some links, but at least I think, "it's Disney, what is better than that" good luck

Totally frustrated!!! Hopefully someone can shed some light in my situation.
We have 6 rooms in our party checking in on Sept 20th. We are coming from different parts of the country. Some are getting in at 11:00am, some driving and getting in fairly early, some at 6:00pm and some not until 11:00 pm. Most of the families have more than 2 kids, so they are broken up into rooms with other Aunts and Uncles.

I was talking to a reservation cast member on the phone about how we go about check in. I was told the kids can't activate their magic bands until an adult from that room checks in. One adult won't be there until 6:00 and another won't be there until 11:00 pm. This is a huge problem!!

It's true that they won't let a child's MB open the resort room until an adult has checked into the room. However if you're wanting the kids to be able to go to a park, any guest services location will let them access their tickets up to 3 days prior to checking into their resort.

Oh good!!!! I don't care if they can't get in their room, I just want them to be able to go to the parks. Will that also prevent any free dining from taking place? The dining isn't that big of a deal, just wondering about making reservations for one of the kids.?

They won't be able to access dining credits until they are checked in. But someone who is checked in can use their dining credits to pay for the kids who haven't checked in yet. Or pay OOP.
