The New Caribbean Beach FAQ Part VII

Just returned from staying from July 12 to 20. I believe we found a new favorite resort. We loved the pirate room! (I think I'm still shocked about the upgrade...although Disney got it right because the kids are already talking about wanting to stay in the room again for our next trip) Buses were great as we never waited long. We loved having the bus stop practically outside out door. The quiet pool was wonderful...never used the main pool as it was very crowded this week. The walk to Old Port Royal was not bad at all. The entire staff was wonderful and friendly.

Thanks for posting. This will be our first time staying at CBR and I like hearing positive feedback about the resort, it makes me excited to stay there.

I have stayed at CBR many times and have only had one problem with location of a room. But that having been said, I've been reading some really bad reviews on a FB page about the resort being run down and dirty, including the rooms. I do realize that they are refurbing the rooms, but I'm not really expecting to get one when I get there in a month. So now I'm wondering if I should switch to another resort or just stick it out and pray I get a clean room? This trip is for DH and my 20th Anniversary and I really do NOT want to be disappointed. Help put my mind at ease, we requested Martinique and North Trinidad in our online check in.

My Mom and I just stayed at CBR in May, my second time and her first. We are both neat freaks and did not have a single issue with our room. It definitely wasn't dirty and I didn't think it was run down either. I think you will be fine and will love CBR!

I'm so excited to hear good things about this resort. Can someone tell me what page lists the areas that are currently renovated. We are going in November and would love a room with Queen Beds. Thanks!

We stayed there last December and did not find anything dirty or run down at all! The rooms are a little outdated but, they are fixing that and heck that did not bother me either. We are headed right back there this December. I am soooo ready! :thumbsup2

Did you pay for preferred? Most of the locations you have requested are preferred room locations. All of Trinidad North is, and half of Martinique is.

Of course I did :) I said I've stayed there many times, so I know that it's only a request if you don't pay for it. I always pay for Preferred.

We were there at the end of April and found it the same ... the only thing we found kind of "Run Down" was the Promenade wooden footbridge section between the Barbados and Aruba "villages".

Page #1, post #1 under"Breaking News".

We will be at CBR Aug 3-10. I can't wait! When I did my first college program I worked at the food court there. Can I call and try and request a room with a murphy bed? I really would love to have my kids in their own bed and not with me. Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone, I am new to CBR as we are family of 5 but I have recently heard "rumors"? that CBR will now sleep 5 in some rooms.

I have read that it has not been confirmed but then I also just read the first post saying that they will...

Has it in fact been confirmed? If so, when is the refurb scheduled to be completed?

We are going June 2015 and I am secretly hoping to see CBR as an option when 2015 rates are released on the 30th! :rolleyes1

Excited to possibly try out a new resort! :woohoo:

Welcome to the CBR thread! You should really take a moment to read through at least the first 5 posts of this thread. Dansdad does a stellar job of keeping this thread up to date with the CBR renovations happening even now. The Jamaica buildings are done and have been refurbished. Many of them do now have Murphy beds, which will allow for 5 to sleep in a room.
