Including Trinidad South? I thought the Pirate rooms were not being rehabbed.

Me too! My kids know we're going to Florida, so packing the clothes and normal stuff is no issue- but I have a stash of special stuff just for Disney at work that I have to figure out how to pack without them noticing anything.

I always have a suitcase that locks and add goodies in as I purchase them. Last year it was so full that I had to sneak more into my carry-on. Have fun!!!

Your right, there will be some in every buidling that is being refirbished.

Oh if anyone has any recent pictures of any of the refurb rooms would love to see what they look like- Thanks again for all the great advice.

Oh I never thought about stashing stuff at work. Thanks for the great idea. DH works in the same office as me so I have double stash area!!

I always put stuff in my room in laundry baskets and throw a towel or two on top of it. My kids despise putting away laundry, they won't go near it for fear they will be asked to 'help'.

Kids know we are going to Disney but think we are driving. Found a great rate on airfare so hoping to surprise them with the flight. Don't have to be as cautious with bags, weights, etc when driving so hoping I can manage somehow!

Love packing for Disney! We are 62 days out and I have already started sitting things aside. Hooray!

We will be staying at CBR for the first time August 11th-18th!! Thanks for all the great info on this thread!! I do have a couple of questions:

1. How's the wifi? Does it work in the pool areas?
2. Are there ice machines?
3. Do the new fridges keep beverages cold? Any way to freeze water bottles?
4. Will they deliver our groceries (garden grocer) to our room?

1. Rooms are a bit hit and miss. OPR is fine.
2. Each building has one (I think I've seen them, we never use them).
3. When we were there in April our fridge was fine. The wine was just right. No freezers, sorry.
4. Yup, but you have to be in your room.

Checked into CBR yesterday. Requested Jamaica 45, 2nd floor. We got Jamaica 43, 2nd floor--due to the refurb. Our room does have the Murphy bed and mouse keeping leaves 5 of everything--towels, glasses, etc

It looked like they are working up to Building 51 but I didn't have time to get close enough to really check it out today. Hoping to go for a walk on the grounds before our first game tomorrow.

2. Are there ice machines? Yes
3. Do the new fridges keep beverages cold? Yes Any way to freeze water bottles? I would say you can try using the top shelf of the refrigerator (which is the "freezer" part).
4. Will they deliver our groceries (garden grocer) to our room? If there is an outsourced delivery company, maybe. However, Publix is about 3 minutes from CBR. We go to the one in Celebration.

Staying 8/28 - 9/2. Is Jamaica considered preferred? How far of a walk to the dining hall and main pool?

Don't think it's considered preferred but it is very well placed and is only a 5 minute walk across the bridge from Jamaica to the main pool.

Woo hoo! You've arrived...guess that means you finally packed those suitcases.

Take lots and lots of pictures! Even though others have posted pictures, I'd love to see more.

Not all refurbished rooms will have a Murphy bed. We are currently in one, which does not have a Murphy bed.

Looks like after I do online check in, I'll call to request a Murphy bed room. Hopefully most people who would've liked an additional bed would've booked elsewhere and leave a few open at CBR.

I know for us, the Murphy bed would just be a loss of storage space so will be doing the opposite, and requesting a non-murphy room...so maybe we won't be taking one up when others can use it.
