Welcome! You've been added.

Dansdad & maxiesmom: Thanks for the online vs in person check-in information
If anyone chipped in, thanks too - I may have missed it.

Less than 30 days and we'll be on our way!!! DH is starting to pack. :rotfl:

You're welcome!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!
I was so stressed yesterday about changing resorts (was booked at POR) We decided that since POR was becoming so popular that Disney has decided to restrict the discounts. After a long talk with DH we decided to make a switch. Looked at CS but the whole buisiness atmosphere did not appeal to us at all. I did a little research on CBR and was nervous. Found your thread and all my stress disappeared. We will be staying Jan. 25 thru 30. All 6 of us. :dance3:

Our first stay at CBR was due to POR and POFQ not having availability for Free Dining. Since that stay, we have not been able to stay anywhere else. You've made an excellent choice!

Was way to hot and humid here today to be outside. Spent most of the day reading all posts (151) pages. What an amazing bunch of people. :worship: Thank for all the tips and pics. I just know we are going to love CBR. We will be there Jan 25 thru 30. Hope to be declared a Beach Bum soon. I am putting in room requests for Jamaica 1st choice Aruba 2nd choice, King bed, water view. Hoping my Family of 6 (3 rooms) will all be close together. :dance3::dance3:

You've been declared a Beach Bum as of tonight!

We are booked Feb 21-27, 2015! So excited. Requested Aruba 51 or 52. I'm thinking I should add Jamaica 45 to that list. Just made our ADR's for the whole and hoping for free dining or maybe Play, Stay, and Dine. :-) Can you add me to the list?

I've added your dates to the list! You're the first February 2015 addition.

I think I've gotten everyone added to the Roll Call and answered any unanswered questions. Please let me know if I missed anyone!

Mickey mail just arrived. 33 days till I get to hear those two wonderful words spoke at the custom house.... Welcome Home!!!!

The other playgrounds are very nice as well. Yes, there are at least one king waterview rooms on the second floor in every village. Whoever told you that you have to wait until 10 days out gave you wrong information. I add our room requests when we book and we usually book 6-8 months out and never had a problem adding them then.

Thanks for the info!! I'll put another call into them. Also if you could add me. Me and the new hubby will be celebrating our first anniversary oct 3-11th! So excited

I am trying to get the ticker to work, I think I need more instruction. :confused3

Anyone putting a lime green Mickey on their door while at CBR?

I used to put a small decoration on our window but haven't done it in a while now. I do have a lime green Mickey on my backsack though.

Yay for Mickey Mail! Love receiving mail from The Main Mouse.

The preferred rooms are closest to the food court, the main pool, and bus stops. Preferred rooms have nothing to do with the refurb project. In fact, the preferred rooms will stay the same after the refurb project. So you are still getting what you pay for with preferred.

You could always downgrade to standard if a refurb room is exactly what you want. But then you run the risk of being further from the food court, and main pool. BUT just because you make the request of a refurbed room does not necessarily mean that you will get one. If you want queen beds for sure, then perhaps POR or POFQ would be a better fit for you.

So it appears you might have a choice to make. Stay with preferred CBR with no queen beds, downgrade to STD with a chance of getting queen beds, or move to POR/POFQ with a guarantee of having queen beds.

I'm confused. So the preferred rooms aren't receiving a refurb?

About 25 days til I arrive at WDW and I'm still waffling on my hotel choice. Ugh. Dream would have been YC but it's sold out, so current top contenders are WL, Dolphin, or CBR. I realize they're all drastically different, but going CBR would save me about $200 over the other two, and that's a lot of Haunted Mansion souvenirs! :)
So here's my question: booking this close, what are the chances of getting a King bed or a refurb 2 Queen room? DH and I won't fit into a double bed comfortably (otherwise I would have booked a FW cabin weeks ago) . I'd likely be booking through Orbitz, since they have the best price, but only list view categories, not bed types. Room location isn't important since we'll have a rental car. My biggest concern comes from the fact that, looking at the actual Disney reservations page, the King bed category is sold out, so my best chance would be getting a refurb with 2Q.
Thoughts?
