I am wondering if anyone has experience with the pack n play/cribs at CB? We will have a king bed room. We are traveling with 20 mo old DD in October. She sleeps in a crib normally but does do PnPs on trips, etc. I have heard that CB only has the PnPs and the cribs,if there are any, look sort of like a jail cell. Lol. Just wondering if anyone has any experience? Pictures? How they set up their king room with PnP/crib? TIA!
We always put the PnP in the closet beside the sink. It's great because you can close the partition between the sink area and the rest of the room. We did it at POR when our DS was 18mo a few years ago. It worked great!

Just got back from CBR. We were in Jamaica 46, 2nd floor in a renovated room with 2 Queens and a murphy bed. Loved the room! It was incredibly quiet and Jamaica 46 is a great location - short walk to the pool/food court and a really short walk to the bus stop. The room was super quiet as well, we were really impressed with that.

One tip: we went over to the Trinidad south beach and there is a GREAT view of the DHS Frozen fireworks. Sat in the hammock and watched the fireworks in peace, they also reflected off the lake/pond/lagoon thing. You could even hear the music faintly. Just look up the time for the fireworks and enjoy!

Thank you for sharing the tip. I wondered about the fireworks views this is great to see. Any info about Illuminations.

You could see the higher fireworks from Illuminations for sure but it was a little more blocked by trees. I'd try the beach just north of the food court area.

I've been looking all over and can't find a schedule for the CBR Pirates Cruise.

Does anyone know what days they go out? I read somewhere it's at 9:30am.

Just over 4 months until we land at CBR for 8 nights! :cool1:

Thanks

According to the recreation schedule on the first page of this thread, this is scheduled on Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday from 9:30-11:30am.

Yes, thanks. The post is a sample August schedule, and I am wonder if it applies year-round. We are going in January, when activities tend to be less frequent.

It also says 9:30 to 11:30, however this page on AllEars says there's an 11:30 group as well. http://www.wdwinfo.com/just_for_kids/piratecruise.htm

Of course I can just call the resort directly, but wondered if I was missing an official year-round schedule somewhere. I will report back. :)

I've heard there are towels by the feature pool, but do you still pack beach towels to bring to the pool?

Any updates on what buildings are completed? Online check in for us is open in 3 days!!! Online check in and fast pass selections - how will I ever contain my excitement :)

They are still working in Aruba. We were just there last week, but I have to be honest it was too hot to look around too closely to see exactly where they are. But I could tell tell based on the curtains in the window (refurb room curtains are different), there is at least one if not two more buildings to go in Aruba. I think you would be safe to request either Jamaica or Aruba. By the time you check in all or most rooms on those two villages should be done.

We don't take our own towels. That would just be something else for us to keep up with and wash. Then there is the problem of having somewhere to dry them. :laundy: The line in the bathroom is big enough to hold our swimming suits but, not towels too. If it is busy and you are worried about them running out, just ask mousekeeping to leave you a couple of extras. ;)

Good morning CBR fans! I'm back from vacation and ready to catch up. I'll be updating the Beach Bum Roll Call tonight. I will also attempt to answer any unanswered questions too.

we had a date change and are now heading down Oct. 27-Nov. 3

Do we know what building is being worked on now? I was thinking of requesting Aruba 52 for Oct trip. I want to be close to OPR and also close to a pool. Is this a good spot?
