There's no real support underneath it other than a metal frame. The metal frame is connected to the bed somehow. It kind of glides out from underneath the bed.

That was my next question. I am assuming there is in the closet or something.. We will be checking in about 9pm tomorrow night..

Think of the trundle beds as being rather like a traditional Japanese futon bed that sits very low to the floor.

The frame rests on the floor and is just tall enough to allow for a set of wheels so it can roll away underneath one of the main double beds. Hence it has to be low enough to fit under the main bed, and short enough to fit between the main bed's support legs.

The matress size is approximately 70" x 30" (I measured one). Sheets are supplied (usually already on the bed, although often not tidily made up) and a pillow is normally in the washroom shelf. You can always ask mousekeeping for more if you need anything extra.

This is our absolute favorite resort for the cost, hands down. It's so homey feeling, and so beautifully landscaped. We keep talking about going down sometime and not even going to any of the parks, just enjoy the resort itself.

Our favorite building is Magnolia Terrace, in the mansions section. It seems to be the best location for us. Don't miss Yeehaw Bob in the River Roost, even if you're pooped after a day at the park it's good fun. Just sit and have a drink and enjoy.

Now I want to go back!

By the way, if you get a chance to check to see if the campfire on Ol' Man Island is still operating (Thursdays and Sundays 6.30pm-8pm) I'd be interested to know, as two weeks ago the resort staff had no idea how long they'll be running the fires for. One cast member even said that they had stopped them at the end of January, even though I popped along to one during President's Day week.

Thought we would spend some of the money we saved by booking two rooms at POR instead of one at Poly and once or twice have some drinks at River Roost and see Bob.

Has anyone tried any of the Specialty Drinks that they would recommend? I prefer something not too super sweet.

Wondering...if we buy the kids the POR resort mugs, would they be able to fill them at the counter service and bring them in for their drinks? (DH and I would certainly order drinks and leave a nice tip...not like we are trying to take up an entire table and not buy anything at all!)

We do this, adults and kids alike. We still buy drinks, but don't always want the alcohol, so we use our mugs for water and lemonade.
One point to make, from a couple of years ago.
We watched the show one night, and I was the opnly adult left with my 17YO son and 16YO nephew.
When I went to pay, the waitress told me that kids under 18 get their sodas refilled for free.
I only had to pay for the first ones, plus the adult drinks.

I was wondering if someone might have a list of the corner room #'s for the buildings in Alligator Bayou?? I was going to request one and thought it might help if I could give the room assigner some exact #'s. Any help would be a big help to us because this will be our first trip to WDW.

I'd like to know this too.

I'm also wondering about how "traffic-y" building 14 is? With 3 kids I think I'd like something most convenient to the main building and bus stop, but I don't want to feel like I'm at Grand Central. I think my first choice would be building 18, but as a back up choice I'm thinking that 14 would be good. Also, any reason for a preference of ground or 2nd floor? I think I would prefer a 2nd floor, but I don't want to make too many requests.

I just requested 14 today. I plan on using the microwave and toaster for breakfast so being close to the food court is ideal.

Even building 14 isn't very 'trafficy', especially if you're not on the river-facing side (which overlooks the main pathway that goes from the food court all the way around the central section of the resort).

Because of the layout of Alligator Bayou, with smaller buildings and all the different meandering pathways, you tend to find that the number of people passing by each individual building is pretty small. We've never even found the river-facing rooms a problem to be honest, and have requested them often.

As for ground floor vs.upper floor, there are two main reasons for chosing:

1) Ground floor rooms can be a little noisier, depending on whether you happen to have a small herd of elephants living in the room above you.

2) There are no elevators in Alligator Bayou so you'll need to be able to use stairs easily if you have an upper floor room (bear this in mind if you have young kids who may be asleep in a stroller - even though it is only one set of stairs, it can be inconvenient).

No, requests don't display on the online view as far as I know. If you're worried something has been missed you'll need to phone them to confirm.

Andre a few questions please

On your website it states that you can pay for just refills for a refillable mug purchased previously. I take that to mean there's a program for unlimited refills using an older mug for a reduced fee?

Also if I do use a mug can it be used at POR and POFQ?

And lastly hug: thank you so much)-Can you recommend a room midway between POFQ food court and POR? Staying at POFQ...
