I just read on another thread that the new refillable mugs were being put on shelves at POP. Can anyone tell me if they are being put out at POR yet? I will be arriving next Saturday and we have QSDP so we get the mugs with our package and it would be soooo great if we could get the new design this time. We already have several of the old design. TIA!

I'm interested too!! We'll be there on Thursday and I saw a pic of the new mug..it is sooo cute my DD's will love it!!

Saw the pics of the new mugs! How cute! We already have our lids colors planned out for the next trip. DD wants the pink one! And I will take blue. DH is stuck with the yellow, because I was stuck with the yellow one last time! LOL!

Is the refillable mug included with all dining plans? We are doing the one with 1 QS and 1 TS. We arrive on March 7!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I hope those new mugs will be around in 2012.
DS wants the blue one.
DD wants the pink one.

Do you think the past refillable mug lids fit on the new refillable mugs ?
We have dark green tops from our WL refillable mugs.

If DH & I get the yellow mugs - could my DH use the WL dark green mug as a top lid ?
Then we could tell his coffee from my tea :rotfl:
Plus a yellow handle with a dark green lid would be more manly ! ;)

Great information! We are looking forward to our first stay at POR in September. How soon before your trip do you suggest faxing down a room request? We would like to be close to the main bus stop and building...don't really care if its a Mansion or Alligator Bayou. A king bed would be nice but not a necessity...it would be even nicer yet if we got a refurbed room with queen beds!

I changed our trip in August from POFQ to POR yesterday, and paid it off today!! I requested the Mansions, but I realize its only a request. We are so hoping for a refurbed room when they start over at POR once completed at POFQ. We are so excited to try something new!!!! I really hope we enjoy it!!

A king bed is not a request, it is a booking category.

Close to the main building is also a booking category, but they are only in the AB at this time. If you want the mansions, you can request a building; if you stay at AB, you will have to pay for it.

And you don't fax requests; they must be attached to your reservation. You need to call CRO and have any requests on your ressie.

No. The mug is included only with the QSDP and the Deluxe dining. Not the regular, with 1QS and 1TS. Sorry.

Come on, people! Someone must know whether the new mugs are at POR yet! I'll be there Saturday so I can report back then but certainly someone knows someone who is there now. :confused3

Excuse me for confusing some of the verbiage. And yes I believe you can fax your requests to reiterate what you would like a number of weeks before you check in. I thought this thread was for learning and sharing information. :confused3

CM's have reported on this board that they gave up looking at faxes a few years, because it was too time-consuming.

The computer can sort the requests automatically when they come over from the CRO to the room assigner. Therefore, you should state your requests in the order of preference on your original reservation.

Now there is a new computer system in place, where room assigners will sort through the computer looking at general room locations, i.e. building nos., and then assign a general location. The CM at the desk assigns the actual room at check-in. That appears to be what is occurring, but until more people report back how that is working, it is not known for sure. But it appears to be the case.

I notice in your signature that you have been to POR 9 times and Dixie Landings 4 times prior to that. I was just wondering what keeps you coming back to this resort in particular.

Right now I am in the process of trying to switch my resort reservation from POFQ to POR....just waiting to hear back from my travel agent. I was hoping that you could make me feel slightly less conflicted about my decision. We stayed at POFQ last year and loved it but it seemed as if any time we wanted to actually do something we had to go to POR....hence the switch.

You obviously love POR and I hoped you could share with us out here in DIS-land why you choose POR over POFQ. Thanks Andre.

A whole range of reasons tip the balance for me - not least of which being the one that you already mentioned that there is a lot more available to do at POR over the smaller POFQ (more pools and better main pool with bigger slide, boats/bike rentals, carriage rides, etc). We also prefer the POR food court and the beautiful and more diverse landscaping - and since we generally drive, the buses are not really an issue for us one way or the other.

On the other hand, POFQ is smaller and easier to navigate, but we quite enjoy wanding around the resorts anyway - and at POR we always try to make sure we're not stuck out in the more far-flung edges of Alligator Bayou or the parking-lot side of the mansion buildings.

But at the end of the day it's still Dixie Landings as far as I'm concerned, and I guess I just fell in love with the place back in 1995.

Thanks, I really appreciate your take on things. With a bit of luck we will be at POR for our vacation in August.:thumbsup2 Can't wait!

I love AB speacily the ones closest to the main building, so much that I just can not take the risk of not getting 14 or 18 # buildings:scared1:. We love utelizeing the main building and would just find the other buildings just to far away to take a advantage of it. If I could have the Mouse gurantee me any of those buildings I would switch. Our frist and only stay was at 14, very much got spoiled:scared1:

I know the trundles are in the AB section but are they spread out through out AB or in a certain section of AB?
