Since I am leaving tomorrow, and almost everybody has posted a fantastic story, I have another good question...What was the best/worst practical joke ever played on you?

I was in a trade school in CA, and my neighbor and I used to play small scale practical jokes on each other (we never let the get out of hand because there were unstated Too Fars, her calling my dad and saying she was pregnant, and me calling her boyfriends wife and saying anything...) I took my car in for service, and it took an extra day. She convinced me that they were painting my car Orange with White spots (My college colors). She told me that the reason it took an extra day was because I had a Teflon Paint coating that had to be stripped...

cheeringmom, Once she has been on antibiotics for 24 hours, she is not contagious. If she is in bad shape, I probably wouldn't leave her. If she will understand you being gone, then try to put her out of your mind. I would say, talk to Sam...

Hey everybody! Just have a quick minute before picking up DD from school and heading to tap/ballet. Busy night and we have GOT to carve our pumpkins soon!

The tagliarchy lost and found box is getting a little more empty. Still a few things left in there, I think we're narrowing down who the rum belongs to. What about these dancing bears? They're starting to get on my nerves. Nepho, I know you didn't leave the icky-sticky sticks, I think we all know who that was. But you CAN'T deny that this tiny, smelly, dirty sock belongs to you!

I want to ask a new question and get out of this drippy love zone we're in. Enough already! I think this new question is also kind of a drinking game, so if you want, you can participate in that.

It's really more of a fill in the blank -

Question: I have never _____________. So name something you never did, or tried or had or whatever. IF you are playing the drinking game, you must take a drink whenever someone says they never did something that you HAVE done.

Ok, I'll start. I have never - smoked a cigarette. Yes, I'm a goody-two shoes. I bet a lot of you are going to have to throw back on a shot on that one!

I just got home from taking DS to the doctor -- the tests are in and he has strep throat.

BTW.... there has been WAY to much illness on this board lately! I vote that we STOP passing the germs around! All in favor.....

Hmmmm, best practical joke. In college some of the football players decided to play a practical joke on me and my roommates. One night when it snowed they decided to cover our doorway with snow. When we opened the door (to go to classes) the next morning all we saw was a wall of white! We ended up climbing out the window to get out!

Can someone go over to the DB and drag HB back to the Tagliarchy??

Oops - it usually takes me a while to complete my replies because of interruptions. When I started typing my last post, Ohana hadn't asked his question yet. Sorry. But he is leaving, so I will let mine stand. I think most of us can handle answering two questions in a row.

Cheeringmom - oh no! That poor girl!

First of all, how old is she, if you don't mind me asking. I'm very attached to all my babies, this is a very tough decision. I've taken sick children to WDW, but never left one behind. I'm betting that by the time you go, she'll be much better. I'm sending lots of pixie dust -

Actually, I think I put up a couple of really good posts (not that I'm biased or anything ) but the poster that gets under my skin the most has not responded yet. Normally, he's right there with something to say. So, I'm wondering if I've stumped him temporarily. I'm sure he will come back with something soon enough.

It actually is sort of addictive. And I am totally the kind of person who does NOT like conflict. Weird, huh?

Oh, and to answer the questions:

1) I can't think of any really good practical jokes that have been played on me or that I've played on others (man am I boring).

2) I have never traveled outside of North America. It would be the country but there was one brief trip to Toronto. BTW, I have also never smoked a cigarette (or anything else for that matter).

The docs did not put her on antibiotics because they think it is viral. Anyway... her is the scoop. If Sam is still feeling sick by tomarrow night, Pete will cancel his trip and stay home with her. We talked and I wouldn't want anyone dropping off a sick kid at my house. So until tomarrow night all


Ohanafamily-the fires are BAD out in CA. My sis lives about 10 miles from the San Bernadino fire and her house looks black from the smoke. She is having problems with her asthma. Take your inhaler and maybe a doc mask.

1) I've sat here and thought and thought about it...and I don't think I've ever had a prank pulled on me. I don't know whether to be offended or relieved.

2) I have never been farther west than Texas. MOre or less because I've never wanted to go farther west than Texas...

Rikku, it could be too large of a file to load as an avatar. I would try web-posting it first, sometimes there software cuts the size down. If you post the pic today, I will look at it tonight and see if I can figure what is wrong...

Actually ohanafamily I had it in the wrong format...silly me...but the background is terrible. Do you know how to get rid of the background altogether? Meaning it's just the physical image and nothing behind it?

since that house is imaginary, in my imaginary world im married to jack sparrow (or johnny depp, either is acceptable ) and im a bit older ....

Rikku, you have to use some sort of photo processing software...Robin is better with Images than I am, if you PM it to me I will do my best. I would volunteer Robin to look at it, but I have gotten in trouble for that in the past.........

Actually, I was hoping Ohanafamily had an answer. The only way I know to get rid of background it to erase it pixel by pixel. And let me tell you, that is a pain in the patoot.

I think that there is a quick way using Photoshop...

I will show you when I get home...unless I am needed for packing; Did I ever tell you how incredible my DW is at packing, what it takes me 3 suitcases for, she fits in a carry-on bag...
