llebrekniT, OMG, what a story!!! True love, and you knew when it was right WOW.
deadheadbelle, I don't think your story counts because we have all had crushes on Famous People. I remember waiting up all night to see Olivia Newton John on Johny Carson. Do you know the meaning of crushed, when the woman you dream of every night admits to liking Girls on National TV?
Time for a little soul baring?
In HS, my few interactions with girls were all one sided. I remember the Girl I asked to my Senior Prom told me no, I was destroyed. She got all mad at me for being upset. I still had a thing for her (she is 3 years younger than me) We went out a few times, her father hated me. When I went off to college, we kept in touch. She got into trouble, and wound up in a boarding school in AZ. (I think it was court ordered) I would have done almost anything for her. The day I knew it was over she asked me to promise her something blindly. I said I would. She wanted me to go out and buy her some LSD, and mail it to her. I do not and did not do drugs, but I had a neighbor who was dealing. I could have gotten it for her, but I could not bring myself to do it. I KEEP MY WORD, so I had a very strong moral dilemma. My neighbor solved it by telling me he would not sell it to me. (He tried to have a conscience, he didn't, but he saw how torn apart I was) To this day I have never forgotten about making blind promises, and it has been known to really bug Robin...That is the story of the first girl I ever told that I loved her....
