xD
So my friend is kind of starting to pee me off.
This year she has qualified for the show-jumping championships of great britain in the 2ft3, 2ft6 and 2ft9 classes, which is great and it's all really exciting for her because she gets to camp down there for 4 days which is brilliant and all but hello she's had her horse for 3 years. I've had Comet for 4 months and she's all ooooh it's not too late to qualify, you could just do the 2ft3 this year. I mean providing you have an easy horse all you have to do to qualify is get a double clear, I qualified last year in the 2ft3 with Murphy but because I wasn't a member of the riding club I qualified at they wouldn't give me a card, which was scabby as hell. But I don't want to qualify this year, the event is in April for christ sakes it's far too soon. Even if we did qualify with any of my riding clubs or the centres around here I probably wouldn't go because we're not ready. So she's being all high and mighty and I don't mean any disrespect to her but I've seen her jump and she's not that brilliant! Her horse is really genuine and doesn't look at the fillers (which Comet does) and gets himself out of trouble (which Comet doesn't) and she says HUUP all the time when the horse is in mid-air and she kicks and she doesn't canter a fluent round. She's just got a completely different style to me and she's got to respect that. I'm a quiet rider, I don't believe in hupping and growling nor do I believe in stuttered rounds.
