Let me know how the butterfinger cupcake is. I'm definitely getting a treat at DHS in December. I just have to pick which one!

Great day planned! Sorry to hear about your parents having to stay home nowThere's no way they couldn't just go for a day or two?! I'm sure flights are pretty nuts by now.
As far as your room request, I would put in for one. I've heard not so great things about the pirate beds as well. I stayed in Trinidad South a few years ago (before the new rooms) and my dad did the walk to the food and it took about 10 mins. We had a car thankfully but I said I'd never stay there without a car! I guess at least you will have a car. Did you ask to see if CSR is open? Keep us posted!!!!!
I've already begun to pack today!!!!
I'm really sorry to hear that your mum and dad will not be joining you on the New Year's tripI hope next year is a better year for your parents
Great DHS plans! I'm guessing you are going to be your usual competitive self on TSMM!
Yay, I'll be looking forward to some more butterfinger cupcake pics to drool over!!
Sorry your folks can't go for the New Year !!! I am sooo lucky to get these FREE trips !! Imagine being able to share your love of Disney with 8 awesome special needs folks every year !!![]()
Aw, I would have cried too if I had to miss WDW over New Year's (or, at any time, really). So sorry your parents have to sit this one out; hopefully they'll absolutely be happy with their decision to visit family overseas. I have a good friend in Germany that I'm dying to see; I keep trying to make it happen, but airfare is high and DBF would go too - and he doesn't know this friend, so he wants to stay in a hotel instead of with her, which would shove the price out of reach for us for awhile. Which is so sad, really, as I haven't seen her in about 5 years. Makes me glad for Facebook!
Somehow I didn't know you were staying at the Poly!!! And over New Year's!! That will be a ton of fun! And WOW, Farrell's first trip will be at the Poly; lucky girl.
Just this week of work to go, and you're off! So glad it's worked out.
My mom knows that the decision she made is the right one for sure. She went home for the first time in over 40 years last year, and it was very short. This upcoming year was supposed to be our longer trip back.
Yeah, I realize that I didn't mention that we were staying at the Poly over New Year's. Duh!She is a lucky girl having her first trip there. But now her idea of Disney will be solely of the Poly, and I'm afraid that I'll create a snob.

Nah, it'll be the Poly at New Year's, so everything will be a blur with such a nice place and so many people. Then she can go back in the slow season at another hotel and see how different everything is. It'll be like a new adventure, not a downgraded one.
I was a little corrupted by our stay at the CR - now, I want to just stay where I can walk to a park. Hopefully we can rent some points for a studio at the BC / YC late next year and try that out. *fingers crossed* Even if we can't get points, we'll probably still spring for either BC or YC for our next DBF-and-me trip.
I've heard the pirate beds are not comfortable either, so I don't know what I would do! Maybe something else will open up in the next week and you can move?
I'm sorry your parents can't go on your New year's trip, that's awful! At least you can still go though, and wow, the Poly, I'm so jealous! My dream resort!

I really love DHS/MGM. I'm not sure why, since I'm not really a movie person (love TV though!) but it's just so cool. Maybe it's Aerosmith's influence.
I'm sorry your parents can't go, but wow - Europe! Where all are you going? I've done (short) study abroad trips in Germany and England and would love to go back, especially to do a tour of the Mediterranean and go see all the ruins.
The Poly over New Years sounds awesome! I'm sorry your parents can't make it, but Europe sounds pretty fun, too, especially with Disneyland Paris.
Just a few days left, now!I bet the pirate beds would be okay. Even if they're a little uncomfortable, it would just make the experience more authentic. After all, pirate beds probably weren't the best.
