Okay guys, I'm sorry that I've been delayed getting this started for my New Year's trip. There have been so many things going on lately. This is such a busy time.

Let's get going. Just so I can get everything done faster, I think I'm just going to list out our plans first, and then maybe add some pictures later. Hope you guys don't mind.

The Players -

Myself and Farrell my BFF that was supposed to go with on the debunked October trip.

Dates - December 30 - January 7

Departure Day -

This is so less than ideal for me, but I had to take what I could get. We are departing out of Chicago Midway (not Milwaukee) at 9:30pm. Ugh. That's the part that's less than ideal. I want to fly earlier (like 7ish), but right now all of the flights are a little too expensive.

We are flying Southwest, so I've been watching the prices for all of the flights that we do want to see if the prices drop. Hopefully they do. If not, it's not the end of the world.

If we take the 9:30pm flight, we land around 12:45am. Right now, I have a car rental booked, but I don't think I'm going to keep it. It's a little expensive right now. Like $300. I'm really hoping that it drops. If not, then it's ME for us. That's going to put us at the hotel really late. But that's okay. Because I'm super stoked about where we're staying.

My absolute favorite resort on property. This trip has changed. Originally my mom and dad were supposed to come with, but they decided to cancel. One reason was to save money. The other is because my mom said since my original plan was to go with only Farrell. She's so sweet. Doesn't want to infringe on our time together.

We are staying on DVC points at the Poly. That's the only way I'd be staying there.

After we check in, we'll be sleeping for a while. No early morning for us. Why? Because we're planning on staying out allllllll night the next day.

I wonder how they come with up these flight times (it seems that 'flight time assigner' is a job along the lines of 'paint chip namer') and why exactly they always seem to pick the worst possible time slots.

I know that flight time sucks. But it was sooooo much cheaper than all of the options at the time. We'll deal with it. The great part about going this time of year is the fact that the parks are open so late.

Hoping to get an update out tonight. Been busy lately and just feel like I haven't had the time to do much of anything! But, I'll finish this PTR before the New Year's trip. I promise!

Hi everyone!

I'm back with an update to our itinerary. I'm going to start posting two days at a time to make sure that I'm staying on track with everything.

Day 1 - December 31, 2011

Because we are arriving very late the night prior (or should I say in the morning, since the plane lands at 12:45am), we aren't going to rush ourselves to get out the door early. We are also planning on staying out very late, so we want to pace ourselves.

We'll be heading to:

Because we'll be arriving later in the morning or early afternoon, we're just going to play it by ear. However, I hope to accomplish at least:

If we can get in the Safari on this day and the Festival of the Lion King, we'll be in great shape.

Lunch will be dependent on what time we get moving. It's likely we may eat at the Poly before we depart for the day.

Then back to the room for some rest and a nap to prepare for our night. Dinner is at 9pm at:

I haven't had dinner at Ohana since it was called something different way back in the day. I don't even remember what the restaurant was called!

After that, we'll be all prettied up and ready to head out.

Our current plan is to head to:

EMH are until 3am! I don't have a plan for us. We're just going to wander around a have a good time.

I have another option we could potentially take, which is going to the party at the Atlantic Dance Hall. I'm leaving that decision up to Farrell and we'll see.

Day 2 - January 1, 2012

Since we'll be staying out later, I'm sure we won't be getting up amazingly early. Our first two days will be a little more on the low key side.

We'll be heading to:

Since we'll be low key on this day again, I think what we'll do is wander around World Showcase. I don't want the crowds to be too overwhelming for Farrell at this point.

Farrell doesn't love tequila, but you all know I'll be visiting the ditch!

Our lunch reservation is at:

I haven't eaten here in quite some time and Farrell was very intrigued by the idea of the tanks being inside the restaurant.

Our evening will be spent enjoying EMH at:

It's a beautiful sight ya'll! I don't have an agenda. We'll just see how the crowds are. Dinner will be at:

It's always a toss up for me between this and Columbia Harbour House. Since we're eating seafood earlier in the day though, we'll save CHH for later.

I know, it is a lot. We definitely don't do it often. We did it this time because my parents bought in with more points and because of where it fell in the use year, they had access to a lot of new points, so my mom wanted to use them. That's why I'm sad that my mom and dad aren't going.

I am hoping they would have it eventually too. You heard about the Grand Floridian Villas, right? Finally became official.

All right! Let's move on to day 3 and 4 respectively.

Now, understand that when we do actually get back from our trip and I write a TR, day 1 and 2 may seem like kind of a bust to hardcore commando Disney peeps. That's okay. That's not my goal in general. We want to just have fun. The TR is likely going to include some craziness though, because that's how we roll.

So we'll be on a regularly scheduled program by day 3. Well, as regularly scheduled as a program with me in it can be.

Day 3 - Monday January 2, 2012

We will actually be getting up early on this morning. Why do you ask? Because there's somewhere we want to be. Somewhere that requires early arrival. Somewhere that brings out the competitor in us all. Oh, and the spud is cute too.

You all know what that means! Let's hope we get this face from me.

That's the big goal for the day. We'll also be visiting:

I haven't decided on a lunch location yet. It's a toss up between Starring Rolls and Backlot Express. Of course, with Starring Rolls, you can get something like this....

Yeah, that might have just tipped the scales.

After our day at DHS, we'll be heading to Epcot for PM EMH.

We have a dinner reservation at....

Well, those of you who know me KNOW where that is. The Biergarten! Where things like this happen...

Afterwards, we'll be watching Illuminations and just enjoying the time wandering around Epcot.

Day 4 - Tuesday January 3, 2012

Whew, this is a busy busy day. For sure. We have to get up early again. Because we have a reservation at....

I have not eaten there in forever! Seriously.....FOR.....EV......ER.....

I figured a good character breakfast would be in order for Farrell. What a good way to start off a Magic Kingdom day!

We're going to double mountain whammy it! (only gonna triple it if it's not cold!)

And other favorites like....

After our day at the Magic Kingdom, dinner will be at the Grand Floridian Cafe. So we can eat and explore the resort a little.

Words cannot describe how stoked I am that they are building DVC there!

Then, it's the end to a great day.

The Fireworks Dessert party! This sucker took me forever to book! Disney didn't release the dates until like two weeks ago. Crazy!

GFC is really good! I've eaten there before and it was great. I think it's an often forgotten location.

Thanks for the TSM hint. I know about a bunch of the other Easter eggs there, but that one I didn't know about. I'm always waiting for the 5000 point alien to pop up way in the back. Hahaha.

Ooh looking forward to hearing about GFC and I think a lot of people are happy about this resort building DVC!
