I'm super excited for VN. I've been trying to eat there for a few trips now, it just hasn't worked out.

I'm too happy with the bag. It is currently waiting to be used when we go on the trip. I want to break it in at Disney.

I love your D&B bag! Isn't it such a good feeling to have one of your own? You're braver than me, though. I can never bring myself to use in while I'm actually at Disney World. I'm afraid it would get dirty or lost. And if it did get lost, just think how many other Disney D&B bags would be at Disney's Lost and Found.

It is a good feeling to have one of my own. I'm like a complete purse freak, so using it in WDW doesn't bother me too much. I'm sooooo careful with my handbags, it's not even funny.

I am more a shoe person, and my bags are pretty much sad little cheap things, but I bought a princess bucket bag a few months ago (bought it blind from Disney Store and got GREAT placement to me) and treat it like royalty! I use it often and have gotten multiple compliments at Woodfield over it.

I have been eyeballing 40th bags ever since I saw them on the Dooney and Bourke thread here - but I couldn't bring myself to buy one unless I went during the 40th anniversary. Well, what do you know, I'll be traveling to the World during the 40th anniversary year so I am definitely going to be looking through them all! You're so lucky to have one already!!!!

Hi everyone!

I figured I would do a little mini update of what my weekend has looked like so far. It's been a busy weekend, but it's been a great one.

A close friend of mine recently lost her father to ALS. They had an ALS fundraiser at our local bar on Friday night, and we all came to support and donate.

This is me and my friend Abi, who lost her dad just a few weeks ago.

The fundraiser turned out very good. 10% of the drink proceeds, 50% of the tips, and 50% of the raffle went to the fund.

Farrell was there with us also.

And my parents.

Our friend Amber and her husband Matt were the bartenders for this fundraiser.

Like I said, everything turned out very well and we were all happy to support. ALS is a terrible disease, and Abi's dad was diagnosed only about a year ago and deteriorated very quickly. It's so sad for her to have lost her father at such a young age.

Saturday we went to the Northwestern football game. We had to fly our colors and support our college team!

And of course we had to be there, tailgating it up!

The Wildcats won 42-21 against Eastern Illinois University. It wasn't a conference game, but was good practice for the Wildcats.

One reason I love where we live. Awesome hot dogs everywhere! Chicagoans know best!

After tailgating and the game, we decided to go out to dinner to my favorite Thai restaurant. I love the ambience and motif here.

Mmmm, Thai iced tea....

I'm happy that I have leftovers!

It's been a nice weekend overall. At the fundraiser, Farrell and I did a lot of talking about Disney. We're both just counting down the days. Tomorrow I can call to see if we can get Cirque tickets!

He loves that hat too! We told him after we got it that we should have bought two. One for him to wear and one for him to keep, because he wears it all of the time, and DLRP is not a place we make it too frequently!

We did have a great weekend. I found out from Amber today that we were able to raise $560 total, so it turned out really well.

My mom is calling DVC when she gets home later, since she's the member. We'll have to see what happens.
