The Never Ending Pre-Trip Report Nov. 11 and New Year's '12!!! - TR LINK! 1/15 Pg33

Looks like a great day! I always forget about Park Fare as a breakfast option! Although, I doubt my DH would really be interested in it! :confused3

OMG I cannot wait for the Food and Wine festival! It was so much fun the 2 days we went last year, I can't wait to be there for almost 10 whole days!! :dance3: :yay:

I love SAB! I only stayed at BC once, but I love it soooo much there, it's such a beautiful resort! :lovestruc

I love breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. It's definitely my favorite buffet breakfast on property.

I can't wait either! I've been twice before, but I want to make sure that we are taking full advantage of it.

BC is a great resort. I've only stayed there once before too, and it was in January, so I felt like I didn't get to fully enjoy the resort.

Universal day!

We have one day at Universal, so we have to make sure we cram in everything. And if you've read my February TR, that means no market research booths and no yogurt! :lmao:

Our first stop will be the WWoHP. Farrell is a huge Harry Potter fan, and she is so looking forward to this.

We are planning on doing all WWoHP has to offer. The Forbidden Journey, Flight of the Hippogriff, and the Dragon Challenge.

Some exploring in the shops.

Then off to enjoy the other things IOA has to offer.

Then it will be off to.

Much fun to be had here.

I'm thinking lunch either at the Three Broomsticks, or at Mythos. Maybe Three Broomsticks so we can stay in the WWoHP.

After our full Universal day, it will be off to:

For dinner. Yummy. Excited about this, both Farrell and I enjoy seafood.

Here is an outline of the attractions we hope to enjoy that day. ;)

I hope you manage to crash everything into the one day. What?! No market research and yogurt - it's what I was looking forward to! :rotfl:

I sooo can't wait to visit WWoHP and your pics are just adding to the excitement!

I know, when I look at the itinerary, it just seems like so much stuff! Let's hope. I know where to trim if we need to.

Yeah, I'm going to officially swear off any market research guys (no matter how cute they may be) and any yogurt that comes into my path that day. I think it will be best. :lmao:

Oh, you're going to love WWoHP! I can't wait for you to go either and to read your TR! :wizard:

It looks like a great list for USO/IOA!! For Dudley, you won't really need a change of clothes but if you do the Popeye ride YOU WILL! I was ringing out for a good 5 hours when we went a few weeks ago and we didn't have a change of clothes!

Yeah, you like my note about that? I'm such a dork!

I know they have those huge dryers, but I also heard that they don't work too well either. I think it really just depends on how hot it is that day.

I'm joining in! Dang, everyone is doing Universal these days...the more I see the more I want to go back so I can visit WWOHP again. haha

Hi Sarah. :wave2:

I know, it makes me happy I'm going back, for sure. I want to take in more details this time around.

Looks like a fun Universal day! Hopefully I'll get there someday! Although, the only reason I want to go is the roller coasters and the Simpsons ride, so I guess it can wait! :confused3

I love Cape May for dinner!

Ha ha. Yeah, I guess if that's all that you would want to do, it wouldn't be worth it for you.

I haven't eaten at Cape May in forever, so I'm super excited to be going back.

So I have some exciting news. Well, exciting for me anyway!

The Passholder rates were released today, so I was able to book our arrival night on the 7th at POP Century! :woohoo:

I felt like I was waiting forever for the Passholder rates to be released! :rotfl:

The other news that I'm excited about, but crossing my fingers on is also in relation to our arrival night. My sweet mom told me that she wanted to book our first night at a DVC resort, so we didn't have to pay.

Well, she called, and every single studio and one bedroom villa is booked on that night. :scared1: So now we're waitlisted for the Beach Club and the Boardwalk. I am also calling them every once in a while to see if any of the other resorts open up. I would really prefer to be able to cancel POP and get a refund. Not spending extra money is always preferable. :rotfl:

So everyone cross their fingers for us that someone cancels their reservation, so I can snatch it! :rolleyes1

The other news is that Farrell said that she wanted to see La Nouba. And we found out that through DVC, the tickets are pretty discounted. So she wants to treat me to the show. I love my BFF.

congrats on all the news!!!!

I'll have to check out what the passholder rates are. Since I have so many BFF's that are CMs, it seems that no discount is as good as what the CMs get but I'll have to check it out anyways :)

Hopefully your waitlist will come through :)

Good luck with the waitlist! I'm trying to keep quiet with my next trip plans until I finish my TR but I will say that I had to get put on a waiting list for my dates and it came through. :) So hopefully it'll work out!

Aaw that's sweet of your mum to do that for you. Good luck with the waitlist - will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Yay on going to La Nouba and Farrell treating you to it! :thumbsup2

Fingers crossed for you!
La Nouba is an amazing show, I hope you guys get to do it!

Thanks! I haven't seen it in a few years, so I'm excited to go again.

I'm sure no rates are better than the CM rates!

I hope so too. It's not the end of the world if it doesn't, but it would be nice to not have to pay for the night. :)

It's been a mixed bag for me on waitlists in the past. I've had it go both ways, where it comes through and it doesn't. I'm remaining optimistic, but at the same time realistic because of the fact that I'm asking for a Friday night during the middle of F&W.

So, I have some pretty happy news.

I was able to get us booked at a DVC resort for our first night, October 7th. I called today just to see if any of the resorts that we couldn't have a wait list for opened up, and lo and behold, one had! So where are we staying for our first night you ask?

AKL.jpg

Animal Kingdom Lodge!

I told Farrell today and she was just thrilled beyond believe. She says that she wants a giraffe to lick her toes, so she's fine staying there. :lmao:

On top of that, I was able to finally get us at the Wishes fireworks dessert party!

That totally felt like it took forever. I thought that Disney was never going to open up the schedule. We will be having that this time on the 12th. Originally I wanted it on the 9th, but it was not available, so I had to make some changes. No biggie.

We still have to order our Cirque du Soleil tickets, which should be no problem. May have to do some schedule changing again, but that's no big deal. :cloud9:

I'm here! A bit late, but I'm not missing out another Danielle TR, well PTR in this case. Based on what happened with your brother in February, this is going to be one interesting to read...

Glad to see you are staying at two DVC resorts. AKL is my favorite resort, it's so nice there? I'm guessing you are staying at Kidani since that's where the DVC villas are. If you haven't booked ADRs, I HIGHLY recommend Sanaa. It's new, the food is AWESOME and if you are lucky, you may sit at a window that looks out on the Savannah, pretty cool if you ask me. Just had to put that in there, but I'm guessing you've already booked ADRs so... that was useless

Oh and a :thumbsup2 to getting into the Wishes Dessert Party! From the picture you showed, looks like really nice desserts, those cannoli... :cloud9: Mmmmm...

Can't wait to hear more about the trip plans! :mickeyjum

Hi Timmy! :wave2:

I'm glad that you like my TR's. *sniff* Making me tear up and everything. ;)

We're actually in Jambo House, which kind of surprised me. I haven't actually stayed at Kidani yet. Every time I've stayed there, it's been at Jambo.

My mom and I ate at Sanaa about 2 years ago. I thought it was pretty good. The only thing that made me scared is that I have a very low tolerance with spicy food, so the menu wasn't really for me from that aspect. Kind of disappointing for me, because I always miss out on so many good things.

Oh yeah, I think Farrell and I together will be very interesting, if our pictures are any indicator....

:woohoo: on staying at AKL for one night and then BC after that - they are both beautiful resorts. Can't wait to see all the pics!

Yay on also getting the Wishes Dessert Party - seems like everything is coming together very nicely for your trip.
