The NCIS Official Thread

That was a great episode, but strange at some points. Mike looked really good, much better than he had in his last few episodes. There was one guy I didn't know, the one who was talking to Gibbs about the man he killed, who was he?

Did anyone notice his mom was a redhead? Guess that's where he gets his love of redheads!

I actually really liked the episode. I especially liked the Shannon an Kelly story where if they had lived, they would have lost Gibbs anyway, it almost brings a sense of peace to the story like it was fate and they never had very long together. Very sad too.

I really liked the Shannon Kelly part too. When Kelly came up to Gibbs and he sat down at the booth with them it really got to me. He looked at her like a father looks at a child. Great acting.

I noticed that too!

I really liked last nights episode. It gave a lot of insight into Gibbs and why he is the way he is.

Can somebody please remind me what happened to Gibbs' mom? That was the only part of the story I was having a hard time recalling.

I thought she died. But at some points during last night's episode it sounded like she left them.

He was an NCIS agent who went bad. He was in the episode when Vance was injured and was recalling his first involvment with NCIS. That actor was in West Wing as the head of the Secret Service detail for the President, and he was such a good guy that I always find it hard to see him as a bad guy.

As for Mike, I think he was dying so that's why he challenged the serial killer. Gibbs made his casket, and that's not something you do in a few days.

Loved his mom being a red head!

Which is ironic, because Mark Harmon also had a short stint (4 episodes) as a secret service agent on West Wing.

I loved the Shannon/Kelly part, until the knock at the door, then I lost it.

I did like looking into Gibbs life and what if/if not. Wonder why they chose Gibbs to look into, I would guess because he's the head of the group, the glue that keeps them all together??

I thought she died. But at some points during last night's episode it sounded like she left them.

I was wondering that too, but I was never sujre whether she had left or died, seems like maybe she killed herself (not sure why I'm getting that)

I think I missed that episode or didn't pay much attention to it. And, I've never seen West Wing.

You know I had heard that the guy playing Mike was really dying and that's why he left, but he sure didn't look like someone that was dying, IDK!

I also really liked seeing Abby and McGee together, but not Kate and Tony. I really like Tony and Ziva. And like Gibbs said, who knew Palmer had abs like that??? I was shocked!

Oh yeah, some of my favorite WW episodes! I'd always liked MH, and after those episodes, oh wow.

I'm not sure about Gibbs's mom--your thought of suicide could be right. Or it could have been that she was sick--she made reference to "a man shouldn't have to change his wife's sheets every night".

Well, the Tony & Kate thing was just to show how different life could be. But did you catch the "Tiva" reference when Tony was questioning Ziva? That's what people who want them to be a couple in the world of fan fiction call them!

I'll have to see what I can find about background. Now that the episode has aired, it's possible the producers/writers/directors may talk a little more.

I liked this episode, I hope this "reflection/dream/near death", or whatever it was, will allow Gibbs to shed everything that was holding him back and let him move on and find happiness.
I am hoping that his smile at the very end is a sign the writers are heading this way. Watching Gibbs being so melancholy all the time has gotten old.

I liked it last night myself. Much better than what i thought it was going to be from last week's preview. Thank goodness.

About Tony and Kate: When I saw they were married I just started yelling at the tv. :lmao: I do not think they would ever have been married had Kate lived.

His mom: that's a hard 1 to decipher but since she really didn't seem like she had wanted to leave her son, I'm gonna go with her dying. But I was going back and forth on it myself watching.

Abby and McGee: I'm on the fence about them hooking up. Seems to me now that have more of a brother/sister love for each other than a couple kind of love:confused3 But there is most definitely a history between them and i would love for the show to reveal it.

And Gibbs moving on: I hope he can now. He seems happier this season than in the past, but I doubt he'll ever get all the way past the pain of losing Shannon and Kelly.

If you liked Mark Harmon, try to catch some episodes of St. Elsewhere, back in his younger days

He was then and still is a hottie!

I don't remember St. Elsewhere much, I think I'm a bit too young, but he was a hottie and still is and I think technically he is old enough to be my father.

It was good to see Jenny, too. I also love seeing Sean Harmon play a young Gibbs.

The Tony/Kate scene was really terribly acted, too. Not realistic reactions from either of them.

I wondered if I was the only one not quite following the part about his mom.

I think I'm the lone person who didn't like it

I didn't like Grays either Or last nights criminal mind so it wasn't a good week for shows for me

This is my opinion on Gibbs' mother. I think she was sick with a debilitating disease and she killed herself instead of having her husband take care of her in her last days.

The more I think about it, I think they digitally added Kate to those scenes. That's why it seemed so weird. And I think they digitally added Jenny too. Neither of them got a credit.
