The NCIS Official Thread

The idea won't let go: so would a crossover fan fic between NCIS, Dark Angel and Man from UNCLE work? The idea is Ducky and Tony meet their counterparts on the other shows (mistaken idenity anyone?)

NO idea. lasted just 5 minutes through an episode of Dark Angel. The wheelchair didn't work for me go figure. Never seen Man from Uncle. And the last time i read a fanfic it was about Eve Dallas form the In Death series and pegged her so obscenely wrong I've pretty much sworn off the whole genre:rotfl:

That being said, if this idea won't let go of you then i say go ahead and write it. I'm writing a story myself, but its for me. If other ppl happen to like it then great, but its really for me.

I do wish they had come up with a different name for the spin-off.

I'd love to see a crossover with Man From U.N.C.L.E. Too bad the shows are forty years apart.

Oh my gosh I didn't even realize that Michael Weatherly was in Dark Angel until now, I really liked that show too.

The basic idea in my head for now: Ducky gets mistaken for Illya Kuryakin and Tony gets mistaken for Logan Cale.

Did you all see that NCIS: Los Angeles will air after NCIS on Tuesday nights this fall?[
That seems dumb. But so does the idea of a spin off. I hate spin offs, so maybe I'm just bitter. I think they ruin good shows. CSI comes to mind :rolleyes1

I'm antsy for next season.
Probably to build an audience; once CBS is sure of the numbers, they may move it to its own, stand-alone slot.

Just thought I'd alert everybody: tomorrow on USA Network between 8-11 they are showing some really great episode that haven't been shown on USA yet. I know one of them is when Gibbs helps his daughter's childhood friend--that episode made me cry buckets--and I was on a plane home from WDW at the time--good old JetBlue! I'm sure my seatmates couldn't figure out what was going on.

Thanks, Missy. I am always watching NCIS on USA so I will definitely tune in

No problem. I found out this weekend that my sister is nuts for this show too--she has it TIVO'd & she watches almost every episode. She's in Italy right now, so I hope the TIVO is set. ;)

One thing that bothers me about USA is they seem to constantly re run the same episodes. I just started watching a few months back and seem to know every episode because they show the same ones.

I know. And the show them totally out of order. Drives me nuts. Maybe it's a plot to get us to buy the DVD sets!

Two of the three episodes I bought off of I-tunes a couple of months ago when someone mentioned Chimera and I realized I had never seen it. Now I have bought the DVD's, yet I am still DVRing them today:lmao:

We picked up the first four seasons of NCIS from USA. They do show them in order, weeknights 5PM-8PM, but they also show some of the episodes out of order, as part of marathons and extra presentations beyond that regular schedule. If you ignore the marathons and extra presentations, and start watching from the first episode of the first season, then you will see them in order.

Yes, but in a weird order. They show 2 from the same season, then 1 from another. For instance, tonight at 5 is an episode titled "An eye for an eye", then at 6, it's "Red Cell", then at 7 it's "Skeletons". (I checked the USA Network website). According www.imdb.com's episode list, "an eye..." is season 2, episode 17, "Red Cell" is season 2, episode 20, and "Skeletons" is season 4, episode 17. Then tomorrow, the schedule is "Conspiracy Theory", "Hometown Hero", "Iceman". CT is from season 2, episode 19, HH is season 2, episode 21, Iceman is season 4, episode 18. That's not exactly in order.

Okay so it is a double-strip, now. Still, you can watch the series in order, by watching the two episodes that are part of the main strip, and just ignore the extras. And coming to think of it, when we were watching it, it was just two episodes per week.

I recently found another channel that is showing NCIS--the Sleuth Channel. I've been taping the 5 AM showing. But be warned--that showing has very interesting commercials!

Sleuth is available on DirecTV, I don't know if regular cable carries it.
