Liz! I love Little Dead Riding Hood. Too funny! Did you go to a Halloween party or something?

My sister was in town for the weekend, so things have been very busy.
I had such a weekend of fun and merriment that there was no time to post! There was so much fun and merriment, in fact, that I'm pretty sure I am ready for boredom and mundane. My friend Ben came home with my sister as a sort of surprise. It was a special weekend. There was pumpkin carving, a halloween party, shopping extravaganzas, high speed car chases, running amuck, and general mayhem. No one was seriously injured in the car chase, so I figure all's well. Cars don't count in the category of seriously injured, right?

My sister came back to my apartment with me Sunday night and went into school with me Monday, so then last night I had to return her to Cincinnati. She flies home tomorrow and then I fly to Orlando Friday after school while the rest of you will be trick or treating.

My older sister was a sailor, my friend Eren was the blue fairy from Pinocchio, my younger sister was a xavier basketball player (her costume is dead on!), my mom was Lois from Family Guy (complete with Stewey), and Ben was a complete loser with no costume so I forced him to wear mouse ears and glasses. I'm pretty persuasive.


Is it lame that I was Belle again? I just got too crazy busy to make a new costume and I worked so hard on this one last year.

Liz, have been busy with end of season things plus all carp breaking loose in the neighborhood the museum inhabits. 'nuff said, it's all blech!

Just back from 11 charming days at WDW
I was sick in bed for 2, then drug my hacking, germ infested body around-

-no I did not get near kiddies or in long lines! I kinda 'aired' my weepy self out on every bench, chaise & banquette to be found. Kinda the slug's WDW!
I'd rather be ill at WDW than at home, though, & I still had a GREAT time!

I did not get involved in any car chases, tho'

My washing machine just went kablooey all over the bathroom! Water flying everywhere! Flooding!
Mopped it all up, checked it out. Apparently it is 'leaking' (cripes! I have my own Dancing Fountains right there in the laundry room!) right where the water empties out of the machine & not at the drainpipe, my 1st thought.

Great way to clean the kitchen floors though!

I'm getting ready to leave tomorrow for the annual pilgrimage to the beach for Thanksgiving. Theme of the trip: everyone pretend to like each other and get along. School gets out at 3:45 and my flight is at 6. Think I'll make it?

How quickly things can go from good to bad...

If anyone is prayer-inclined, can I ask for some for my cousin Matt? He's in detox...AGAIN. Before heading to rehab...AGAIN. Only now, his liver has already failed. He's only 31 years old (32 next month). I know it's his own fault...he's an alcoholic and can't seem to stop. Rehab never works because he doesn't like any of the programs.

I read last night that death from liver failure due to alcoholism is 34-66% likely within 10 years. He's not a candidate for a transplant because of his addiction. I guess it will be a miracle if he lives to be 40.

Hey, Kar was here!

Well, first off my cousin is having more good days than bad. So that's good.

And second...I'M AN AUNT AGAIN! Sort of...my friends Brett and Danielle had a little girl on Friday! We've just known each other for so long that it feels like we really are related. So Saturday evening before the Tina Turner concert, we stopped at the hospital to visit. Linnea Rose is absolutely darling and she looks just like her daddy! Mommy was doing pretty well, too, considering that even being induced (having been due on 11/20), she was in labor for 43 hours

And even after all that, she says she wants to do it again...

Kar...I AM SO EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!! It's my fave. And then there's only 5 days till my birthday...
