I saw this with a friend this past weekend in Chicago. (We took a girls' shopping trip on the train from Indy for the weekend.)
This show is AMAZING. The music is wonderful. The story is very, very, very cool. Everything about it...well...words can't express!
I know there's a touring company out - but it's not making too many stops. It's at Chicago on a fairly long-term basis. Of course, it's still on Broadway. If you have any opportunity to see it - see it!

I was at WDW when the tickets went on sale and just in the short time it took to get back home and realize I needed to call for tickets we had exactly TWO choices of shows we could get seats together for. Wednesday night or Thursday afternoon. I'm just thankful we got them!
This was by far one of the best musicals I have ever seen.
