That's a common misconception about AKL. Really the only park you are close to at WL is MK. You can get there on the boat pretty quickly. However, the bus transportation at WL isn't great. They almost always share a route with Poly/CR/GF in some combination. AKL doesn't share with anyone. Also, if you stay at Kidani, you are the first pick up, so no matter how many people are staying at Jambo we always had a seat. The six nights we stayed we never waited long for a bus to any of the parks. Five minutes or so tops. I would stay at Kidani again in heartbeat! Nothing beats the size of the room we had, after the 4 of us crammed into a concierge room at YC last spring this was like heaven on earth.Honestly, I have zero desire to stay in a regular room again after having two bathrooms, separate sleeping areas, separate TVs, full kitchen, washer/dryer, double balconies, its the best experience we've ever had on property.
And we've stayed in many villas before, many times at OKW especially, but this one was the best. Hands down, no contest. Because you get all the luxury of staying in a resort, interior hallways, gorgeous lobby, awesome bar, all the animals, the kids club was amazing, nice arcade area, beautiful resort, etc, but the size of a villa. Its a feeling you just don't get at OKW, SSR, etc. We had some family staying at BCV the same week and they were very unimpressed with their two bedroom villa there. Our one bedroom was bigger than their two bedroom and a hundred times nicer.
Thank you for that information! That's extremely helpful-- AK is sounding good after reading that and looking at all of the pictures on these boards. We would probably either do the Studio with a Savannah View or the 1-BR regular view.. not sure yet. Thanks for your help!
