The Mother/Daughter Polynesian Surprise **NEW 5/1 I'm back!

Okay, not sure what the day is going to be like at the office tomorrow, so I am posting this now as promised:

DON'T FORGET TO PACK TICKETS, MONEY, CREDIT CARDS, ALL ESSENTIALS, and anything else you can think of.

Oh, and have a great trip. :)

:lmao: WOW! Surely I can't forget any of those things now!!!! Can't believe I'm down to ONE DAY. Now if I can just STAY HEALTHY and not catch anything within the next day, all will be good. :woohoo: Thanks for the reminder and well wishes

Better late than never, right! :thumbsup2

I will try to catch up tomorrow, but if I don't get a chance - have fun!!!

Over the last couple of days, I have been busy packing and getting organized for the trip. I packed most of the stuff that I will be bringing for Bubba and just need to pack in my clothes. I didn't want to pack them too early so they won't get wrinkly. I hate wrinkly clothes :headache:

Mickey Mail came today for our one-night stay at AKL. This package came in record time! Now if only they could be like this when you make your reservation more than 45 days out

Today at work went by SO. SLOWLY. It doesn't help matters that the place is not busy at. all. I actually spent most of my time on the DIS :rolleyes1 and playing games via Facebook. :rolleyes1 Hey, what else am I supposed to do to make the time go faster? The next 2 days are going to be quite the struggle.

I found out today that it's supposed to rain (rather heavily) here on my departure day :scared: Hopefully the worst of the rain will hold off for the early part of the morning so my plane can take-off with no delays :thumbsup2 My time is already as tight as can be. No delays allowed! I'm going to bring a book to read just in case. I normally just bring my iPhone for entertainment but don't want to waste the battery in the event that I'm stuck at the airport longer than expected. Let's just hope the whole rain dodges my airport and those weather reporters are just plane WRONG.

This all seems so surreal right now. It doesn't feel like I'm going to Disney in 2 days. The stress has passed and I've reached a realm of calm. It's very refreshing actually :cloud9: Then, there's another part of me that is so excited that I could pee my pants!!!!!! :hyper:

Soon I will have this in on the plate in front of me.... MMMmmmmm yum yum yum

I'm glad you are doing well with the packing! I know what you mean about wrinkly clothes, I dont pack them until the afternoon/night before - I just gather everything together on a clothes rack and then I can just stick it in the case.

I'm glad your other mickey mail came :woohoo: I still havent had any, so am just gonna request it at check-in.

Work is such a pain when you're in disney mode, I'm at that stage where I just can't be bothered working  My mind is too busy with disney and christmas thoughts :lmao:

I hope the rain stays away and that the sun shines  :goodvibes

I'm glad your stress has passed and your calm :yay: apart from maybe wanting to pee your pants

ooooo that moose looks good!!!!

Just incase I dont get chance to log on again before you go .... HAVE A WONDERFUL TRIP!! Enjoy every second of it and take lots of photos! Here's some extra dust for the weather :wizard: Enjoy yourself and have a safe journey

So glad you're joining in! :cutie: Hope you will come over to my TR when I get back.

I had my clothes hanging on my bathroom door handle as I had no where else to hang them :rolleyes1 It kept them wrinkle free though!

The worst part is that now I'm getting so busy at work! It's been absolutely dead the last two weeks but all of a sudden, as soon as I'm 2 days away from leaving, everyone suddenly wants to book a trip too! Figures. I'm so busy that I almost don't have time to even think about Disney

I hope the rain stays away and that the sun shines  :goodvibes

ME TOO! But it's not going to happen :sad1: :umbrella: I really really really hope there isn't too much delay tomorrow. :sad2:

I'm glad your stress has passed and your calm :yay: apart from maybe wanting to pee your pants

You know how it is... the excitement just gets to you and you can't hold it in anymore! :lmao:

ooooo that moose looks good!!!!

Oh it was. I'm not sure if I'll order this trip but I'll have two opportunities to do so, either way.

Just incase I dont get chance to log on again before you go .... HAVE A WONDERFUL TRIP!! Enjoy every second of it and take lots of photos! Here's some extra dust for the weather :wizard: Enjoy yourself and have a safe journey

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you  It's been great sharing all my plans and stresses with you all. Can't wait to come back and tell you all about it :hug:

OMG! OMG! OMG!

TOMORROW!!!!!

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

I probably won't get a chance to say it before you go, so HAVE A WONDERFULLY MAGICAL AMAZING AWESOME TIME!!!! Can't wait to read allllllllllll about it!!

Ladies & Gentleman--hold on, we're all ladies here aren't we? :rotfl2: Any boy lurkers out there, now is your chance to come out! ;)

I've FINISHED packing and will officially be on my way to Disney in just over 12 hours. :hyper: I checked in online for my flight. Had some trouble printing my boarding pass. My printer kept cutting off one side :headache: Perhaps I'll try reprinting it when I get to the airport at one of those kiosk thingies.

I've weighed my luggage with my handy dandy luggage scale that I got from work

It's really helpful! I know that I'm well under the allowance for my checked bag and right at the allowance for my carry on. Hopefully they won't check my carry on weight, like last time. I think it was much heavier when I went in July :rolleyes1

My dog, Pixel, is now fully aware that I will be abandoning her for the next 6 days. All she wanted to do was try and get me to play with her when I was trying to pack!

Silly muffin

I've already had some stomach upset due to my nerves and stress  Nothing terrible... just really bloated feeling. I'm sure it will pass (toot toot! :lmao: ) once I'm on that plane. Then the aviophobia (fear of flying) will kick in  I actually read a book on how to conquer your fear of flying. It explained everything about how planes work and who's responsible for what. Let's just say it set a lot of my worries at ease. I won't be so terrified when we hit a bit of turbulence anymore.

I'm heading straight to bed after I finish writing this. I'm aiming to be up around 6am and out the door no later than 7:30am. I'll be heading to the airport at the peak of rush hour plus the rain so it could be a messy morning. :scared: The weather forecast is calling for "light rain" at 60% chance in the morning. Let's hope it only sprinkles in the morning.....

Well, that's about it from me! I can call this the end of my November Pre-Trip Report. It's been wonderful sharing all my plans and ideas with you all. Thanks for your input, thanks for sharing my stress, and thanks for just being crazy Disney fanatics like me! I'll still be continuing my April PTR here (I have a couple updates on that but had no time!) but once I come back, watch out for my November TR!!! Can't wait to share everything with you. Be prepared for TONS of pictures and food porn. Until then, KEEP THE MAGIC ALIVE! :wizard:

I'M BACK FROM THE MOST AMAZING TRIP YET!!! Out of all the trips I've had this year, this one definitely tops them all. Everything was beautiful - from the food, to the rides, and especially the resorts. I can't wait to share it all with you. I got home last night at about 6:30pm and was dead tired. I will start my trip report just as soon as I can upload my pictures (there's LOTS of them - I filled a 4GB memory card!!!) Hope you all have stuck around and will come on over to the trip report once it's started. I'll post the link here once I start:thumbsup2

Welcome home sweetie  Glad you had a safe journey and a wonderful trip! I can't wait to hear all about it and see all your photos!! :woohoo: Get some sleep, unpack and then get working on that trip report - your fans await :worship:

Welcome back....so glad you had a wonderful trip. Can't wait to read all about it and see the pics.

By the way, is Pixel a Bichon? She sure looks like our Cookie who is Bichon.

Okay guys, I'm seriously panicking right now. My 4GB memory card worth of pictures is not letting me import the pictures onto my computer. I thought maybe my Mac was being stupid so I tried it on my other PC. Still nothing. It won't even let me view the pictures. :scared1::eek: I will seriously cry if I've lost 4GB worth of pictures from my trip. That's my whole trip. Right there. Gone. :sad1: Hopefully my DBF can work his computer magic to save the day. Will keep you posted...................

pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: that you get it all worked out.

Oh my goodness - That is tragic! A fear I think we all share in!

Here is a little more pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Good luck!!!

Pictures have been recovered :woohoo: Thank goodness for a tech savvy boyfriend :worship: Don't know how he did it but all pictures have been transferred to my computer... well at least the 900+ that were on that 4GB card. Still have the other memory card to do. Since so much time was wasted trying to recover my photos, I'll have to delay the start of my trip report until tomorrow night :headache: I promise to start it then! If I don't, I'll start forgetting things!!!! Stay tuned :surfweb:

So I'm back from my Very Merry November trip (I've changed the PTR title to focus entirely on the April trip). It was absolutely fantastic. I'm not sure if any future trips can beat the experiences I had. It really was that good. Since I had such a good time.............

...wait for it.....

I'M PLANNING ANOTHER TRIP IN NOVEMBER 2010 :lmao::rotfl2: It's just funny because I never can stop going to WDW! This is not me being selfish though. Actually, I really want to bring my mom to enjoy the World when it's all decked out in it's Christmas decorations. Due to finances, she couldn't make this year (I think I mentioned this earlier in the PTR) so next year I figure she'll have no excuse. The whole time I was there last week (can't believe a week has already passed!!!) I just keep thinking "Mom would love this." I did some pricing out of resorts and here's what I came up with.

Option 1: Pop (Standard) + CR (Bay Lake View)
Option 2: Pop (Standard) + AKL (Savannah View)
Option 3: Pop (Standard) + GF (Garden View)
Option 4: Pop (Standard) + WL (Woods View)
Option 5: Pop (Standard) + CBR (Preferred)

The most expensive was GF (obviously) but when I told my mom, she was leaning towards staying at CR. Why does she never want to stay at AKL :confused3 Both my parents are like that. Must be their generation or something:laughing: Bubba may also be joining us for this trip in Nov 2010 as she will be done her contract and will just be itching to get back to the World! More details on this NEW trip as it develops :woohoo:

Getting back to my next trip in April, there has been some new developments here also.

First, Bubba has offered to pay for another night at the Poly. Which means I will be in the World a total of 8 NIGHTS!!!!!!!! :cool1: It gets better though. We were originally booked in a Garden view (the cheapest room category) but when I went to book the extra night, the Garden views were all sold out at the TA discount :scared1: All the had left was Theme Park View..... I bet you know where this is going. I told Bubba about the situation and did not expect her to pay the extra money for the better view. I started shuffling around the dates to see if I could get any availability in a Garden view. :teacher: When I did find something that worked, it would have made us have to go earlier in April. How the heck was I going to tell my mom that we have to leave two days earlier in April?!?! No sooner was I realizing this dilemma, than Bubba sends me an e-mail saying to just book the Theme Park View  Oh my sister...... gotta love her! So my mom and I will be staying at the Poly for 2 NIGHTS with a THEME PARK VIEW!!!!! :cheer2: Hopefully they won't bump us like they did with my mom for her birthday

Phew. Writing a TR is hard work! I've practically had to shun my poor PTR. Let's get this thing up and running again shall we?

First, some updates:

1. The November 2010 trip is still in the works. Right now, my mom and I are more focused on our trip in April. Once that trip is over, I'm sure we'll go full force into planning for November. I would like to have where we're going to stay ironed out before April so we don't risk there being no availability for the dates we want. Must talk to my mom about this....

2. Bubba came to visit home from Dec 10-12. She surprised the whole family (except me, she told me as soon as she booked her flight). It was great to have her home again but it went by so fast that I feel like I dreamt the whole thing. It's hard to realize that she was sitting in this very room less than 2 days ago. I miss her dreadfully already :sad1: But there is something in the works that may let me see her again sooner. This leads me to update #3

3. Bubba and I were talking and we really want to do something together in February. As long as I can work it with my work and she can get days off on her end. It couldn't be any longer than 4-5 nights. What better thing to fit that boat than a DISNEY CRUISE!!!!!! :cool1::yay::woohoo: This may or may not happen. It's going to be very last minute and will all depend if either of us can get a good discount. If it happens, we'll jump on it, if it doesn't well... perhaps we can figure something else out. Neither of us have been on a cruise and I would love it so much to break my cruise "virginity" with Disney!!! Stay tuned on this one....

4. I've started the first draft of the April itinerary. Nothing much to report yet. I've just sort of slotted in where our ADRs are and been trying to work out our "Must-Do's" for the parks. I know for a fact we need to allocate two full days or 1.5 days for Epcot. I want to really dive deep into World Showcase. The last several trips we've barely scratched the surface. Maybe we'll do the Around the World on a Segway tour first thing one morning, and then spend the rest of the morning to mid-afternoon look at WS in depth. :scratchin Still need some thinking time on this....

5. I'm going to be busy the next couple of weeks with x-mas creeping up. I still have a mountain of gifts to wrap, x-mas cards to write, a x-mas tree to get and decorate.... Yup, lots to do. I'm hoping I can finish things up on my current TR (if you haven't started reading it, GET OVER THERE!) before x-mas and then can fully focus on the trip in April.

Stay tuned for more updates!!! Thanks for reading :goodvibes
