The Most Relaxing Place on Earth! 1/23, Day 8: Last Day!

I'm here!
Your kids are too cute.:cutie: I'm enjoying your TR!
Doesn't sound to good about Rob feeling well. :scared1:
We leave for Disney on Saturday and the weather says it's going to be in the low 80s during the day and mid 60s at night but it looks cold on your TR so now I'm :confused3. Also we're wimps to the cold. (we live in S. Fl.)

I was delighted to hear that Tink waved at her!!!! She will remember that for a long, long time. :wizard: That makes your heart warm up!

Your husband sounds like he is trying to put his best game face on but he isn't doing too well....

HEY! You have a new ticker!! Is that the Beach Club?!

Yes, it made everything worth it. That 2 seconds. :lovestruc It was just so magical!

Yes, you'll see the full extent in the next update.:sad2:

Beach Club and Vero Beach. We are doing Vero Beach 1 bedroom and then going to WDW and staying at the Beach Club in a studio.

2 kids one adult---- a park perhaps? If so you win mom of the year!

WDWDay2AKMK149.jpg

This is a great picture!!!

Right before the fireworks we walked up to the rail and we were lucky to be right under Tink's line. When Tink flew right at us A. go *so* excited. I was holding her and she was yelling "TINKERBELL, IT'S ME A.! HIIIIIIIIIIII!!" When Tink got right above us she/he looked down and waved at us. This made A.'s trip. "TINKERBELL WAVED AT ME!!!" She talked about it so much. We both agreed that that was one of those Disney Magic Moments and you can't put a price on that!

So amazing!

I love the way B is looking at A!!!

Coming Up Next: I'm not sure I can do this!

Uh oh...

Oh the dessert party sounds like fun and it is so awesome that A got her moment with Tinkerbell. I just love reading things like that. :lovestruc

Hi All! I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. I almost have another update ready.

My MIL and FIL are here this weekend then my parents are coming on Wednesday for 4 days....but after that we are done with our craziness. I hope to get this TR done by Christmas.

Just found this today! What a great report! I also have a 3 yr old DD. We also love Yak&Yeti. I am going to try and relax more on our next trip in May. Last time it was our first trip and I felt like I really had to go go go. We are looking at buying DVC so I feel like we can take our time. I am planning a girl's trip with my older DD in 2011.
Can't wait to read the next update.

Great TR Girl!
I think it's so funny that being in DisneyWorld, all your daughter wants to do is play on slides and big toys...lmao
That golf coarse looks soo good also! I am officially jelous!

Happy Thanksgiving to you too!:goodvibes I hope your day went smoothly and you enjoyed the time with your family! We were supposed to go to my dad's but I got sick instead. Luckily DH threw together a last minute turkey dinner for us because I was useless yesterday and today.

I loved this update with the dessert party and naps. Cute stuff! We ended up napping during our trip as well, even me! Loved the pics of A. napping, so sweet! I love to snap pics of my kids wiped out at Disney like that. And I looooved that A. was so excited about tinker bell. My DD was 4 the first time we went to Disney and she screamed when tink flew across the skyline! It was so precious and funny!

Oh, I'm officially in the 'we're not going back to Disney anytime soon' category too.:sad1: DH said we need to save more $ for a new house (I can't complain about that!) so no trips to see the mouse for awhile. Sigh.

Looking forward to the rest of your report dreagirl! :thumbsup2

It is too bad the dessert party did not have the variety. This is kinda how we felt out MNSSHP. I didn't think it was worth the extra cost. I don't know why Disney doesn't include the party for the price of regular admission. They didn't do much extra to make it special. I was disappointed. Universal Studio's HHN, on the other hand, was wonderful!

I'm glad we skipped MNSSHP then. I really wanted to go, but I felt like we had to choose between the dessert party or MNSSHP. I guess we made the right choice for us.

I also think they should include the evening parties in the price of the ticket.

We all didn't feel well most of our trip. My niece ended up get a fever the last day and had to fly home that way. My DH thinks he had a fever. It could have been much worse for us though. I hope things got better for you all.

I'm sorry. It sucks to be sick on vacation!

Hi!

Thank you! Yes, Rob was getting worse, but I'll tell you that in the next post. ;)

How was your trip??

I was delighted to hear that Tink waved at her!!!! She will remember that for a long, long time. :wizard: That makes your heart warm up!

Your husband sounds like he is trying to put his best game face on but he isn't doing too well....

Yes, she still talks about that. "Wemember when Tinkerbell waved at me?"

Yes, I'll tell you exactly how much of an actor he is in the next post. ;)

Beach Club and Vero Beach. We are doing Vero Beach 1 bedroom and then going to WDW and staying at the Beach Club in a studio.

2 kids one adult---- a park perhaps? If so you win mom of the year!

That sounds like such a fun vacation! I'm trying to talk Rob into a beach vacation next year, but so far he isn't in to it. Maybe I can after I hear how yours went. :)

I'm enjoying your report! You definitely have two cutie pies!

Thank you!!

How cool that you were right under Tink's line! Can't wait to read more!

Yes, it was great. It really made the dessert party worth it. :)

Yup! Update coming right up!

Oh the dessert party sounds like fun and it is so awesome that A got her moment with Tinkerbell. I just love reading things like that. :lovestruc

Yes, it was so great! I felt like we were covered in pixie dust!

Hi! Welcome!

Yes, I must say that I had more fun on this trip and did less than our last trip. I had to remind myself that we will be back, maybe not soon, but we will be back.

I so want to do a Mommy/Daughter trip!!

Great TR Girl!
I think it's so funny that being in DisneyWorld, all your daughter wants to do is play on slides and big toys...lmao
That golf coarse looks soo good also! I am officially jelous!

Thanks! Yes, she is crazy over playgrounds. It really puts it all in perspective that fun is fun, so why not relax and enjoy it!

Yes, the golf coarse was amazing. It really was the best room and we just fell in love with SSR.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too!:goodvibes I hope your day went smoothly and you enjoyed the time with your family! We were supposed to go to my dad's but I got sick instead. Luckily DH threw together a last minute turkey dinner for us because I was useless yesterday and today.

Thanksgiving went really well. Rob ended up doing a lot of the cooking, so that was nice.

There is just something about Tinkerbell and little girls. I love those moments.

Yes, Rob is still saying no trip next year.:sad2: I guess I'll have to live through everyone else's trips.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too, Drea! Hope you had a wonderful day!

Thank you! It was a great day.

Our little alarm clocks woke us up around 6:30. I got up with them and started to get breakfast ready. At this point, Rob was still laying in bed, so I knew something was up. I asked him if he was okay and when he responded it sounded like he had rocks in his throat. :sad2:

At this point I started to panic. I am one of those people that stress about things like the H1N1. Immediately I thought he had it. He said he didn't feel "flu like" just like a bad cold. He didn't have a fever or a cough. Just a really stuffy nose, head ache, and sore throat. I had packed cold medicine, so he took some of that and ate some breakfast.

I got myself and the kids ready, but Rob was still feeling bad even after the meds should have kicked in. I asked if he wanted to go in the bedroom and relax and we would stay out in the living room area so he could rest. Then we looked at each other and laughed. I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Our kids are LOUD. I mean, really loud. :rotfl:

At that point I said something I didn't think I would ever say, "Why don't I take the kids to the Magic Kingdom for the morning so you can rest and we'll see how you feel in the afternoon." As soon as the words left my mouth I started to freak out (in my mind). Could I do it? What if it was crowded?

I looked at TGM list and it said MK was a green day that day, so I took a deep breathe and the kids and I walked out the door.

I was so thankful that we had a car this day. There wasn't any traffic and we parked right up front. As we were walking up the ramp, the monorail pulled into the station. So far, fate was on our side.

As the monorail pulled in to MK, I saw that the opening show was just getting ready to start.
Day3MK002.jpg

Day3MK003.jpg

Day3MK004.jpg

We watched it and the entire time I was saying to myself, "You do this all the time at home. You take them so many places alone, you'll be fine. Relax, relax, relax."

I looked around and noticed that it really wasn't that crowded, so that made me happy.

We walked in and I took a few pictures.
Day3MK009.jpg

We walked right to Dumbo and we were in the 2nd rider group. Not bad!
Day3MK011.jpg

Day3MK012.jpg

Day3MK013.jpg

It was at this point that I really missed Rob. We always ride Dumbo first on our MK mornings and we both love it so much! I knew he was sad to miss this!

But, as you can see, Fantasyland was empty!
Day3MK016.jpg

After Dumbo, we left the stroller there and headed over to Pooh. We walked right on! Not even a wait. As we were exiting, A. asked to go on Small World, so we headed that way! Once again, no wait! We walked right on and sat in a boat with one other family.
Day3MK027.jpg

Day3MK021.jpg

Day3MK020.jpg

When we exited the ride I noticed that there was a 5 minute wait for Peter Pan, so we decided to do this one next. I really like this ride. B. wasn't a fan, but A. liked it. We had watched Peter Pan right before we left, so she remembered a lot of the things from the movie. :)

After this ride I wasn't sure what to do next. I wanted to meet Tink & the Fairies this day, but I knew B. would not be happy waiting in line and since you can't bring a stroller in line it would be no fun! I also knew that if A. saw the play area then we would have to stop for that too. So, sadly, we didn't meet the Fairies this day.:sad2:

We grabbed the stroller and went on a hunt for a snack. A. said she wanted "fruit" and I knew that there was a fruit stand in Liberty Square, so we headed that way.

We picked up two bananas and sat by the Riverboat and ate them. This area of the park was empty. I really felt like we had the park to ourselves.

After that we started to walk to Frontierland. I really wanted to A. to ride Splash Mountain, so we went to watch it. This was a mistake. As soon as she saw it go down the hill she wanted nothing to do with it.

I asked her if she wanted to go ride Aladdin and she said yes, so we headed that way. As were we walking A. spotted two of her favorite characters. I head:

"MOMMA, THERE IS WOODY AND JESSIE!!!!!"
Day3MK030.jpg

Day3MK031.jpg

She was so excited. She told Jessie that she was her favorite and Jessie gave her a hug. She was so happy!

We went to ride Aladdin and there was a 5 minute wait. I peaked over at Jungle Cruise and it showed a 0 minute wait, so we did that first.

Our driver was hilarious! I wanted to take pictures but B. was getting really squirmy at this point, so no pictures. :(

After we rode Aladdin and had a 5 minute wait. I was so sad Rob was missing this! It was the perfect morning to be at MK.

At this point it was around 11:30 and we were getting hungry for lunch. I started naming off things they had for lunch and of course, she picked a hot dog. So we headed over to Casey's.

I knew that the ducks would be out in force there so I said we should eat inside. A. was not having it, so we went outside. This was the only time that I stressed this entire morning. Let me tell you, it isn't easy to push a double stroller, carry a tray with drinks, and open a door. But, I did it and we sat down to eat. We were fine for like 5 minutes before the ducks swooped in!:scared1:

Rob called at this point and said he was feeling a little better and I told him we were on our way back to SSR. B. was really tired at this point and with the ducks, it was just too much for him. He broke down and wanted me to hold him. I knew that there was no way I could hold him and push the stroller, so we packed up and headed out.

We finished our lunch on the monorail.
Day3MK032.jpg

Day3MK034.jpg

We went back to the car, and we were quickly back at SSR. Rob sounded a lot better and even looked better. So that made me happy. I shyly told him about our wonderful morning and he was happy. He said after we left that he got a little worried that I would be a stress ball the entire time. He knows me so well. :lmao:

The kids were both exhausted, so we put them down for naps and Rob decided to take another nap too.

I headed out to my favorite spot, the patio, and watched the golfers. I also read a little bit and just relaxed.

Coming up:
"I'm NOT missing Le Cellier!"

I'm so glad your morning went smoothly with the two kids! :thumbsup2

Sounds like you had a great line mojo!

(I just looked at my Twitter and I guess A. and I went swimming before naps! I totally forgot about that!) After a few hours of napping, everyone started to gradually wake up. I asked Rob how he felt and he said no good, but not bad. He didn't like the meds I had packed (not really right for his symptoms) so he and A. walked up to the carriage house to get some new ones.

B. and I ate a snack and he played out on the patio for a little bit. When Rob got back he said he found some meds for his symptoms and took them right away. I asked what he wanted to do about dinner tonight and he said "I'm not missing LeCellier!" I was so happy! I knew that I couldn't handle the kids at LeCellier alone, so if he wasn't going, we would have to cancel.

So, we all got ready...
WDWDay4AKMK001.jpg

WDWDay4AKMK004.jpg

and headed over to Epcot. It was around 4:00 I think.
WDWDay4AKMK006.jpg

We decided to head over to Nemo first.
WDWDay4AKMK007.jpg

I know some people don't like this ride, but we all love it!
We walked around and checked out the "seas". B. was amazed by the all the fish!

He wasn't so impressed by the shark mouth though.
WDWDay4AKMK008.jpg

WDWDay4AKMK009.jpg

After this we went to check out the wine. Rob was so bummed to be on meds because he loves to try beer from different countries. He said not to feel guilty and get some wine, so I did!

I got the Miolo Pinot Noir in Brazil. It was really good! A. was a bit jealous, so we got her a slushy at a little stand around England. :) After that I got Leth Riesling in Austria, and it was also really good. I'm not much of a "wine" person, so good and not good is about as in depth as I get. ;)

It was almost time for dinner, so we headed over to LeCellier. I saw these and thought they were funny.
WDWDay4AKMK013.jpg

WDWDay4AKMK014.jpg

We took some pix.
WDWDay4AKMK015.jpg

WDWDay4AKMK016.jpg

I went to check us in and we only had to wait about 5 minutes for our table. I was disappointed when I saw that we were seated right in the middle of the room. But, I went with it.

I ordered the filet and it was delicious! I had been waiting for this! YUM! Rob got another kind of steak and he said it was really good as well. A. got the kids steak and she ate every bite. B. was being a pain, and ate bread and whined a lot.:sad2: We were all VERY full and didn't want our desserts, and it was at this point that A. spilled my water all over the table. :sad2: I'm just glad that the meal was over and all I had to do was pay the bill at this point. So, I paid the bill and Rob took the kids outside.

They were having a blast running across the bridge when I came out.
WDWDay4AKMK017.jpg

WDWDay4AKMK018.jpg

WDWDay4AKMK019.jpg

I was very tired at this point. I hadn't taken a nap. B. was also very cranky, so I asked Rob if he just wanted to go back to the room. He asked me if I was sure, and I was. I was ready to go relax and head to bed.

So, we walked out to the car and we were quickly back at SSR. The next day we had an early breakfast at Tusker House, so I wanted us all to be rested for that.

Rob said he was feeling better, so that made me feel better too. So, he put B. to bed and I got A. ready for bed. We were all asleep very quickly this night!

Coming up next:

Are you sure you're ready?

Hi!

Thank you! Yes, Rob was getting worse, but I'll tell you that in the next post. ;)

How was your trip??

Our trip was great! Thanks for asking.
I started my TR the link is in my sig.
Glad to hear Rob was able to just rest it off. I know how you feel about loud ones. Mine were like that too but now they're the quietist in their class, if that helps.
Again A and B are so cute.:lovestruc
You were really cleaning up at MK!
Perhaps you'll have to go back to Lecellier when the kids are older.

I love A's dress! It's really pretty.

I'm glad you made it to Le Cellier. I have sat at the exact same table both times I ate there and it's right smack dab in the middle of the room. I feel really awkward taking pictures of my food there. :rotfl2:

Yay, an update! Girl, you are brave to take 2 little ones to MK alone! Good for you!:thumbsup2 I'm glad it went so smoothly for you too, although it stinks that your poor DH was sick. I think it's awesome that you still took your kids though. (You probably would've regretted staying at the resort on such a fabulous MK day, right?) I did a solo MK afternoon too this past trip (mine girls are older though, 9, 8 and 6) when my DH and in-laws decided they were done at the MK!:scared1: We'd just had lunch at LTT and then they all started talking about taking a nap instead of watching our girls get their BBB make-overs.:headache: I was like, don't let the monorail doors hit you on your butts on the way out cause I'm staying!:thumbsup2 I have to say, being there alone with my girls was special and something I'll remember forever. We skipped from ride to ride, rode everything in Fantasyland and meet the Princesses and they got BBB makeovers while I choked back tears. Yes, I'm quite sappy that way.:goodvibes

How great that your DH was up to going to Le Cellier. Hands down, that was our favorite meal of the trip, I had the filet too and it did not disappoint! Too bad you were too full for dessert, the chocolate whiskey cake was incredible! I hear ya on the water spilling on the table...my kids have been doing that for years. DH and I know that it's inevitable, one of them will spill their drinks almost every meal. :sad2:

Loving the updates, the pics of you all are adorable.:goodvibes You definitely named your TR well, it's definitely coming across as a very relaxing vacation!:thumbsup2 Makes me want to go back, insert gigantic sigh here.:sad1:
