The Most Relaxing Place on Earth! 1/23, Day 8: Last Day!

Our trip was great! Thanks for asking.
I started my TR the link is in my sig.
Glad to hear Rob was able to just rest it off. I know how you feel about loud ones. Mine were like that too but now they're the quietist in their class, if that helps.
Again A and B are so cute.:lovestruc
You were really cleaning up at MK!
Perhaps you'll have to go back to Lecellier when the kids are older.

I'll check it out! I'm really bad at looking at signatures.

Thank you, I think both A. and B. are adorable too. :rolleyes1 That's good to know that I may have a chance at quiet kids.

It was the best morning we've ever had at Magic Kingdom. As I was thinking back, we actually did Pirates that morning too! It was just so empty there.

We love LeCellier and dream of our adults only trip (20 years from now!).;)

I love A's dress! It's really pretty.

I'm glad you made it to Le Cellier. I have sat at the exact same table both times I ate there and it's right smack dab in the middle of the room. I feel really awkward taking pictures of my food there. :rotfl2:

Thanks! My husband bought her that dress 2 years ago and it's just now fitting. I guess that is what happens when Daddy goes shopping!

Yes, I felt like everyone was looking at us the entire time. With Blake whining and then when A. spilled her water it just put us over the top!

Yay, an update! Girl, you are brave to take 2 little ones to MK alone! Good for you!:thumbsup2 I'm glad it went so smoothly for you too, although it stinks that your poor DH was sick. I think it's awesome that you still took your kids though. (You probably would've regretted staying at the resort on such a fabulous MK day, right?) I did a solo MK afternoon too this past trip (mine girls are older though, 9, 8 and 6) when my DH and in-laws decided they were done at the MK!:scared1: We'd just had lunch at LTT and then they all started talking about taking a nap instead of watching our girls get their BBB make-overs.:headache: I was like, don't let the monorail doors hit you on your butts on the way out cause I'm staying!:thumbsup2 I have to say, being there alone with my girls was special and something I'll remember forever. We skipped from ride to ride, rode everything in Fantasyland and meet the Princesses and they got BBB makeovers while I choked back tears. Yes, I'm quite sappy that way.:goodvibes

How great that your DH was up to going to Le Cellier. Hands down, that was our favorite meal of the trip, I had the filet too and it did not disappoint! Too bad you were too full for dessert, the chocolate whiskey cake was incredible! I hear ya on the water spilling on the table...my kids have been doing that for years. DH and I know that it's inevitable, one of them will spill their drinks almost every meal. :sad2:

Loving the updates, the pics of you all are adorable.:goodvibes You definitely named your TR well, it's definitely coming across as a very relaxing vacation!:thumbsup2 Makes me want to go back, insert gigantic sigh here.:sad1:

Good for you! I would have done the same thing! I wouldn't have let anyone rain on my (BBB) parade! I know I will cry the first time A. does BBB, it's just such a special thing!

What is it about kids and spilling drinks? I'm glad we aren't alone!

Yes, every time I would stress, I would just remind myself "RELAX" or in more trying times "SERENITY NOW!";)

Oh my gosh! I say that to myself all the time! Just like Kramer from Seinfeld...serenity now, serenity now! 9 times out of 10, it pertains to something my kids are doing or have done like cutting up my sheets to make princess capes!:scared1:

BBB is sooo worth the money.:thumbsup2 All 3 of mine did it and at the risk of sounding cliche, it was magical! Their little faces were pricelss when the fairy godmother in training spun them around to see their make-overs. I highly recommend letting A. experience it and be sure to have a tissue or 2 in your purse! :goodvibes

I reallllly want to go back to Disney but DH is being adamant that we need to save money, sigh. I even tried to sweet talk him with a 40% off rooms pincode I received. No dice. :confused3

Kudos to you for taking them to MK by yourself. Glad it went so well. Yay for making your dinner ADR-oops on the water. My 3 yr old spills at least once a day. Looks like a fun day overall.

Sounds like a great morning at MK and a nice dinner :) I'm glad DH was feeling a bit better in the evening.

You win the mom of the year award... both kids at MK. I am not sure I would take mine and try it. So glad you had no waits and lots of fun!

We made for a sight to at LeCellier... no worries!

I could have sworn I posted to your TR, but apparently not. Love the first picture of all of you, so sorry about B crying on the plane, maybe it had to do with the air pressure? I am addicted to McD's sweet tea too.

I loved the look of pure joy on A's face at Playouse Disney! Rob was so sweet on DHS day keeping B occupied at Playhouse Disney, Muppets 3D, and feeding him at Sci Fi wanting you to relax, that is great. We love TSM too, it is such a great ride.

I swear EOS is always full. I didn't know that about the boats to SSR either, one hour to get back, that is awful.

The kids looked like they were having an amazing time at the Boneyard, it looked so fun! I want to go to Yak and Yeti now because of your review of it. It sounds so good.

So sorry about Rob not feeling well at MK. It must have been so magical for A to have Tink wave at her, that is wonderful. A looked thrilled to be with Woody and Jessie, B not so much, :rotfl:.

Wow you got so much done at MK on that morning you were alone, but I understand about being sad because your hubby wasn't there.

I wouldn't have missed LeCelliar either :lmao:. It does look like you are having a more laid back trip.

I can't wait to read more.

Wow! 2 kids at MK, the whole double stroller/food/drinks/door thing would have done me in! :rotfl: I took Henry to McDonald's the other day and we went into the play room - holding him plus the food was enough to make me spill my soda all over! Go you!!!!

I'm glad to read Rob is feeling better too! I hope he improves as time toges on!

WDWDay2AKMK125.jpg

I chuckled out loud at this picture - he found the pots and pans pretty quickly, eh?! :goodvibes

We watched it and the entire time I was saying to myself, "You do this all the time at home. You take them so many places alone, you'll be fine. Relax, relax, relax."

Good for you! :thumbsup2 It's scary when we're not in familiar surroundings.

This was the only time that I stressed this entire morning. Let me tell you, it isn't easy to push a double stroller, carry a tray with drinks, and open a door. But, I did it and we sat down to eat.

Yikes! You're superwoman!!!

The angle of this picture makes it look like the cup is as big as A!!! :rotfl2:

Glad you enjoyed your dinner!

You were definitely brave for taking your two young children alone! Desperate times call for desperate measures! I probably would have done the same. Its too hard to resist being so close to Magic Kingdom! I am glad it all turned out well.

I'm glad your DH was able to enjoy the rest of the day. I can't wait to try LeCelliar some day, it sound great!

Hi! :wave2: Remember me? Your (not so) loyal TR writer?

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year. Ours was good, for the most part. I got the flu again this year (3rd year in a row!), but other than that, it has been relatively good.

I know I have been slacking big time in this report, but I now have a reason to get it done ASAP because....

WE'RE GOING BACK TO DISNEY!!

Well, 2 of are going back. Let me back up a little. Rob told me when we booked the October trip that we were not going back in 2010. I'll admit, I've been a little depressed about that, but I started to plan out our calendar for 2010 and we have some fun stuff coming up so I was starting to come out of it when I got this text from my brother (an A. who has a son, also an A., confused yet?!):

I'm taking A. to Disney this year sometime in May or June. Will you help me plan it?

I replied Yes, Yes, Yes! I knew that would give me my Disney fix and I was so happy that my brother was taking his DS.

So, A (Brother) gave me his budget and I was off planing. Then the room only rate discount was released and then I was comparing ticket prices....I was in full planning mode. Rob looked at me and said, "You and A. should meet your brother and A. down there."

After a lot of thought (feeling guilty about not bring B., spending the money, Rob having to take days off and not getting to go anywhere) I decided that we were going!

So, it will be Me, A., My Brother (A.), and his son (A.). So, it will be A., A., A., A.

I'm not sure I'm going to write a trip report, but if I do, I'll have to get some nicknames for sure.

Anyway, I'm uploading the rest of my pix to Photobucket and going to write an update today at naptime.

Any suggestions for the upcoming trip would be great too!

Oh my gosh! I say that to myself all the time! Just like Kramer from Seinfeld...serenity now, serenity now! 9 times out of 10, it pertains to something my kids are doing or have done like cutting up my sheets to make princess capes!:scared1:

I reallllly want to go back to Disney but DH is being adamant that we need to save money, sigh. I even tried to sweet talk him with a 40% off rooms pincode I received. No dice. :confused3

I'm glad I'm not the only one!

I can't wait to do BBB. I'm thinking we are going to do it 2011 when we go back for our family trip.

Keep at it, it may work eventually!! ;)

Kudos to you for taking them to MK by yourself. Glad it went so well. Yay for making your dinner ADR-oops on the water. My 3 yr old spills at least once a day. Looks like a fun day overall.

The thing is, she never spills. I think this was maybe her 2nd time. It was just the way dinner was going.

Thanks! Looking back, I'm so glad we went to MK. I'm not sure I would say that if it was crowded, but we had an almost perfect morning.

Sounds like a great morning at MK and a nice dinner :) I'm glad DH was feeling a bit better in the evening.

Yes, it was a good day! Rob was a trooper this trip for sure.

You win the mom of the year award... both kids at MK. I am not sure I would take mine and try it. So glad you had no waits and lots of fun!

We made for a sight to at LeCellier... no worries!

We were very lucky that it was empty that morning. I don't know if I would do it with 3 kids, but 2 was manageable because I had the double stroller and we could all "fit" on the same ride.

Yes, I remind myself of that all the time. Almost everyone there has kids and has been through it before.

I could have sworn I posted to your TR, but apparently not. Love the first picture of all of you, so sorry about B crying on the plane, maybe it had to do with the air pressure? I am addicted to McD's sweet tea too.

Hi! :yay:

I think it was a combo of B. being B. and the air pressure.

Yes, Rob is great!:cloud9: I so wish there was a way to get 2 fastpasses for TSM so you can ride it more than once and not have to wait in a 120 min. line.

I swear EOS is always full. I didn't know that about the boats to SSR either, one hour to get back, that is awful.

Always full!! It's crazy!

Yes, we love SSR, but will not be taking the boat anymore!

The kids looked like they were having an amazing time at the Boneyard, it looked so fun! I want to go to Yak and Yeti now because of your review of it. It sounds so good.

Yak and Yeti is so good!! You must go! I'm going to try to talk my brother into it, but he isn't that adventurous when it comes to eating, so we'll see.

The Boneyard is a good time, and a good workout chasing the kids!

So sorry about Rob not feeling well at MK. It must have been so magical for A to have Tink wave at her, that is wonderful. A looked thrilled to be with Woody and Jessie, B not so much, :rotfl:.

She still talks about Tink waving at her. "Momma, wemembew when Tink waved at me! I said "HI TINK!" It brings a tear to my eye just thinking about ti!

Wow you got so much done at MK on that morning you were alone, but I understand about being sad because your hubby wasn't there.

Yes, it was a good day, but I missed Rob being there too.

I wouldn't have missed LeCelliar either :lmao:. It does look like you are having a more laid back trip.

Yes, sorry, I'm not missing it! Even if it means a cranky kid and a spilled drink.

I can't wait to read more.

I've been such a bad diser, but I've got your TR link up and going to read through it tonight.

The things we do for our kids (or ourselves ;) )! It really wasn't that bad because it was so empty!

The lunch thing was a challenge, and you know there were people all over and no one offered to help. No "can I open that door for you" or "do you need help?" Oh well.

Yes, they need child locks on those doors! :headache::laughing:

The angle of this picture makes it look like the cup is as big as A!!! :rotfl2:

Glad you enjoyed your dinner!

It does!

Yes, it was so good. Sorry to the other dinners though!

It really wasn't that bad because it was so empty. I probably wouldn't have lasted that long if it would have been busy.

Yes, you must try LeCellier. It is so good!!

That is so exciting that you are going back!! WOO HOO!!

:yay::yay: Thanks! I'm so excited. Rob said to me last night, "Does this mean your going to be back on the Dis all night?":laughing:

I'm glad I'm not the only one!

I can't wait to do BBB. I'm thinking we are going to do it 2011 when we go back for our family trip.

An update, yeah!:goodvibes

Ooooh, you get to go back! How fabulous!:thumbsup2 I'll bet A. will be bouncing off the walls! Have you told her yet? What a great DH you have. I actually mentioned once to my DH about my 3 girls and I taking a girls only trip and he was so offended! I think he took it to mean that I didn't want him to come which of course wasn't the case at all. It's just hard for him to get time off from work, you know? Anyhoo, congrats on your next trip! So, what have you got planned so far?

Seriously, the planning is sooo much fun isn't it? I love it, (ok that's code for I'm addicted!). I'm considering getting the new Complete Walt Disney World 2010. This book is so pretty! Lots of pictures and updates about what's new at Disney. And can I tell you a little secret? We're going back too! Woo-hoo! DH surprised the heck out of me the other night and said he's ready to go back this October! My jaw about hit the floor since he'd told us we weren't returning until at least 2011. His only stipulation is that we do before Halloween because he doesn't want to miss our neighborhood trick or treating, isn't that funny? Personally I think he just wants to dress up as Darth Vader or a storm trooper! Now I can plan like crazy! Gotta love a man who appreciates his woman's need for Disney vacations!!:cloud9:

Yes, Rob is great. :cloud9: I kept going back and forth then he said "Just go, it makes you happy!" So, I did it! Our flights are booked on SW. Our room is booked (Pop). So, all we need now is tickets. I'm going to get them through UT. We also need dining, so I'm making a list for my bro and letting him choose. I did already book a lunch at LeCellier!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: You get to go back!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: What are your plans? Where are you staying? How long?

Hello, my name is Drea and I'm addicted to Disney and Disney planning.... :3dglasses

We woke up early thank to our alarm clock, B. We quickly got ready and were out the door in plenty of time for our 8:25 ADR at Tusker House. We made it there very quickly, since AK didn't open until 9, and made our way to the back.

WDWDay4AKMK020.jpg

WDWDay4AKMK021.jpg

WDWDay4AKMK022.jpg

We waited in line to check in (about 10 minutes) then we waited in line for our server to seat us. Then it was time for our picture.

WDWDay4AKMK024.jpg

A. is cracking me up in this picture. She was very hungry and didn't want to take a picture, she just wanted to EAT!

We were seated one table behind where we were seated last time.

WDWDay4AKMK025.jpg

WDWDay4AKMK026.jpg

We had just filled up our first plate when it was time for the parade. A. said she wanted to go alone, but when it came time to walk with Mickey, she wanted me there as you can see from this picture.
WDWDay4AKMK027.jpg

This is a fun little parade with music, instruments, and other things. Really cute.

Then we sat down and our first visitor was this guy!
WDWDay4AKMK028.jpg

WDWDay4AKMK031.jpg

B. was so not into the characters. Mickey tried to talk to him, but he just turned his head away.

Then this lovely lady came next.
WDWDay4AKMK032.jpg

WDWDay4AKMK033.jpg

This crazy guy was next.
WDWDay4AKMK035.jpg

WDWDay4AKMK036.jpg

They were coming fast and furious and we were trying to eat and get the pictures. Minnie wasn't there that morning and that bummed A. out. But, she quickly got over it when we offered her a donut. ;)

After breakfast we went and rode the Safari. I didn't take one picture, just enjoyed the ride and the animals. It was nice. They were all out and it was a beautiful, warm day.

After that we headed over and DinoLand and rode TriceraTop Spin. Then Rob suggested that I ride Dinosaur. I went to see if there was a wait, and there wasn't a wait at all! I walked right on.

A. wanted to ride, but I'm glad I had read the Dis and knew that wasn't a good idea. I even got a little scared on that one!!

Then we headed over to check out The Boneyard. It was fairly busy so we decided to just pass. It was fun when it was empty, but I can see how it would be stressful when full.

We had mentioned Kali River to A. and she was excited to try it, so we headed that way. On the walk over, both kids were just relaxing in the stroller and I got really tired. Rob *said* he was feeling better but I could tell he was tired as well. So we talked and decided that after Kali, we would head out.

There was no wait for Kali, so we were able to walk right on. Right before we were getting on the ride, A. said she didn't want to ride. She was very nervous. I was talking to her a bit when an older couple bent down and said "Oh, your going on our boat?! How exciting! Can I sit by you?!" A. slowly said yes and we all got on the boat. I was on one side, she was in the special seat for shorter riders, and the older woman was on the other side of her. The older man sat across from her and they just kept talking to her, pointing things out, asking her questions and before she knew it, we were halfway though the ride and she was having fun!

After the ride I introduced the couple to Rob and we both thanked them for being so kind. They said that they go to Disney 3 times a year, once with their grandkids and the other 2 times alone. I guess A. reminded them of one of their granddaughters. They were very nice.

We started to head out of the park. By the time we got to the front, B. was asleep in the stroller. UGH! Now he wouldn't sleep at SSR. Oh well.

It was also getting very hot, so we were happy to be on our way. We made it back to SSR and to our surprise, B. went down very easy for his nap and the rest of us were quickly asleep!

great update!!! Those pics with A and the characters are too cute!!! Those are for sure keepers to show her when she is older!!!! Can't wait for more

I woke up around 12:30 and went to sit on the patio to watch the golfers. Man, they were in top form this afternoon!:laughing:

Rob woke up and joined me and after we laughed at the golfers for a while he asked what the plan was for the night. I said, DTD for dinner, then back to the resort for swimming or relaxing. He sat there for a minute and said "Why don't we go to the MK tonight."

I was still tired and looking forward to relaxing, but he was feeling better and wanted to head over to MK. I told him that it might be busy, but he didn't mind. He just wanted to walk around and hang out. Since our expectations for rides was low, I decided that we should do it.

The kids woke up and we headed over to MK!

We walked in and Rob looked at me and said "You were right!". It was PACKED! So, we just decided to go slow and see what the wait times were like. We headed to Tomorrowland, and the wait for Buzz was only 15 minutes, so we decided to wait. It was more like 10, and it was fun. We all love this ride.

After that we started thinking what we wanted to eat. Rob was still not that hungry and I was okay because I had a small snack in the room. I asked A. what she wanted and she wanted "Pizza and watching Small Wowld." So, we headed over to Pinocchio Village Haus. It was crazy busy in there, but we were able to order and find a seat "not by Small Wowld" as A. said. Halfway through our meal the people at one of the tables got up and Rob ran over there to get it.

We finished our meal waving to people on the ride. It was nice actually.

After that we walked over to ride our (Rob and me) favorite ride, Pirates. When we got there, guess who chickened out...A.! I couldn't believe it. She was actually crying because she didn't want to go on. All I said, was "Are you sure?" and she was in tears!

So I told Rob to go ahead, he took B. A. and I sat across from Pirate's League and waited for them.
WDWDay4AKMK043.jpg

I took this for you LL.
WDWDay4AKMK044.jpg

Rob said there was no wait at all, so I told him to ride again. A., B., and I just wandered around.
WDWDay4AKMK045.jpg

When Rob returned after his second ride we headed over to ride Jungle Cruise. Well, we hoped to ride.
WDWDay4AKMK047.jpg

The wait was 10 minutes! The park was PACKED, yet the rides were empty. It was very strange.

Our driver was okay. He was very nervous, so most of his jokes fell flat. I felt bad for him and laughed at all the jokes, then he made a joke about me! How rude!
WDWDay4AKMK049.jpg

After this we rode Alladin and decided to head to main street. We wandered in and out of the shops for a while, and then decided to head out. We got back to SSR and A. asked to swim.

So, we (her and I) headed out to the pool and Rob stayed back with B. When we got back, B. was in bed. We showered and the rest of us were in bed quickly too.
