Hello, my name is Drea and I'm addicted to Disney and Disney planning.... :3dglasses

Yes, I know I am among my own kind here!

I KNOW!! My brother only had a 2 week period that he could go. I'm bummed that we are so close (again) yet so far away!

Are you doing a pre-trip?

Yes, Rob is great. :cloud9: I kept going back and forth then he said "Just go, it makes you happy!" So, I did it! Our flights are booked on SW. Our room is booked (Pop). So, all we need now is tickets. I'm going to get them through UT. We also need dining, so I'm making a list for my bro and letting him choose. I did already book a lunch at LeCellier!

Hello, my name is Drea and I'm addicted to Disney and Disney planning.... :3dglasses

Do my eyes deceive me or are there 2 updates?? Love A.'s little face in the pics, she looks so darn excited! Poor B. he looked pretty unsure of the characters, can't really blame him though since the characters probably seem huge to him! I remember when my youngest DD was 2 and she was horribly terrified of Chuck E. Cheese! She literally ran screaming from him! It was so funny, she was trying to climb up my legs, my poor baby!

How sweet that the grandparent couple helped A. over her fear of Kali River. I love nice people! It's funny how far something like that goes towards making someone else feel good, isn't it?

Totally OT, but I really like your shirt, do you remember where you got it from? Ugh, I so need new clothes.:sad2:

Our plan is to go back to Disney around Oct. 17th for a week. DH wants to stay at the Grand Floridian too! Gosh I love that man! I'm already thinking of dining reservations as well. I'm still in shock! I'm thinking we'll do 1 day at Universal since we're big Harry Potter fans and would love to see that area there. We've never been so it should be fun.

I think it's really nice of you to let your brother pick the restaurants.:thumbsup2 When we went with my in-laws this past Oct. I picked everything for them, didn't even give them a choice! I suppose I should have at least asked them, right? They didn't care though, they were just happy to be at Disney with their grandkids. Still, I do feel kind of bad now for not asking.:scared:

If you're a Disney addict, then pretty much everyone else on the dis is too, including me! Planning is such a large part of the fun. I love the daydreaming about where to eat or which park to attend on which day. DH thinks it's crazy but he sure isn't complaining when the trip runs like clockwork! Have fun planning, only about 4 months, right? Lucky.:goodvibes Oh, and you'll definitely have to do nicknames for that trip report! Maybe like A1, A2 and A3. Although, that's probably still confusing!

2 updates!! There would have been more if Photobucket would have let me resize all my pix!!

Grand Floridian!!! :faint: I'm dying here! That is my dream! So lucky, and your DH suggested it! :faint:

My shirt is from Target. Honestly most of my clothes come from there or Old Navy. They are both right across the street from the grocery store.

Yes, Rob makes fun of me for all my time spent on the Dis, but when he doesn't have to wait in long lines or worry about a schedule I don't hear a word!:thumbsup2

Doug's sentiments exactly!

I am not sure sure about a pretrip/trip report. It is not much of a planned trip, beach pool, pool, beach, resort activities, repeat.

Although we did sign up to get our volunteer free disney tickets (Hannah, Doug and I) so we would just buy one for Emily to go one day to MK. I am forcing myself to not make a bunch of ADRs so we can really do nothing but swim and hang out. We want to eat at Cape May for breakfast and Crystal Palace on the MK day for dinner.

It depends a bit on what happens for me school wise. I am not sure if I will be half time again next year... my partner is possibly retiring... needless to say I am a mess. I hope to have the school stuff resolved within the next few weeks, because I am not ready to go back full time until at least Emily is in school all day (which might be K here by then) Sorry for off topic....

Awww, that video clip is super cute! Is that how you do a trip report, load your pics to photobucket? I was contemplating doing a trip report but wasn't sure how the heck to get the pictures posted!

We've stayed at the Grand Floridian Feb. 2009 and loved it! It feels so posh and comfortable. DH swears he'll never stay anywhere else now. I should back up...we stayed at the Polynesian this past Oct. and the rooms were dark and looked run down. DH kept saying to me that we should've stayed at the Grand Floridian. Of course I agreed but we took his parents (my in-laws) for their 40th anniversary and they picked the Polynesian to stay at. It reminded them of Hawaii where they had honeymooned. So to make a long story longer:laughing:, DH only wants to stay at the Grand Floridian and I'm not complaining!

Target? I'm always looking for clothes for my kids there (or Gymboree) instead of myself! Duh, I should look there then! I'm at the point where I hate everything in my closet!:headache: Time to replenish the wardrobe!

I agree about the DH's making fun of the dis-ing (is that a word?). He likes that everything is planned out and he didn't have to do any of it!:lmao: Unfortunately he still doesn't fully appreciate the beauty of rope drop and wants to sleep in.:sad2:

Sounds like a great vacation! Well, either way, I'd love to hear about it. :)

I'll take it!! I have been really thinking about going back part-time, but it is impossible to find a part-time around here. I know how stressful that can be though, so I hope you get it worked out very soon.

Yes, I use photobucket. I like it because it is free. If you need any help, just PM me.

That is how I felt last year at this time. Sick of everything in my closet, didn't feel like anything felt like "me" anymore. So, slowly I started looking around and found a few things here and there. The thing with Target is that you always have to try it on because each piece of clothing I have from there is never the same size!

I've heard that about the Poly too. We got married and honeymooned in Hawaii, so I've always wanted to stay there because of that, but the reviews always make me pause. The GF just looks so white and clean and happy. When we visit there Rob always says "in a few years, I don't want to be the ones walking through the GF with the screaming kids, it's too quiet in here."

You should do a TR! I love reading trips of people I "know". ;)

Subscribing!

I've really am enjoying reading your trip report. You and your DH handle your children wonderfully! My children too were energetic and loud when they were younger and I only wish that I would have had 1/2 the patience that you both seem to have.

Welcome! Thank you! My husband has a lot more patience with them than I do. :rotfl:

We did decide ahead of time to "relax", so that helps. They are also really good kids, so that helps a lot. :)

I am so frustrated! I wanted to have an update up today but Photobucket is not cooperating!:headache:

Tomorrow, for sure. With or without pictures.

I'm here and caught up now again! :goodvibes

:yay::yay::yay: on going back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you going to include some of your planning bits here? (please? :flower3:)

Love that B went down for the nap after AK, that is pure Disney magic. We run into the same thing with Henry-asleep in the park and all the way home on on the bus...it's a gamble if he will nap when we get back to the room!

So glad to read Rob was feeling better! And gotta love the low wait times on the rides :woohoo: perfect way to end the day!

Hi! I guess if you twist my arm...

We got our room at Pop. I made ADRs for Tutto Italia, LeCellier, and Tusker House (Breakfast). I think that is all the ADRs we are going to get. I really wanted Yak and Yeti because that was a favorite of mine last trip, but my brother didn't seem very interested.

I think may talk him into a late lunch there...we'll see. :)

I'm still trying to figure out our park schedule and decide if I want TGM again.

I'm joining in too Drea. What a great report so far. :) Your children are just adorable!

Hi! Welcome! Thank you!!

Tutto sounds so very good. I have that on our "next trip" list (along with a million others :rolleyes1). I hope you are able to talk him into Y&Y!! Is he not big on Asian food?

Today was our Epcot day and our day to enjoy Food and Wine! B. woke up super early this morning so we had some time to enjoy the morning around the Villa. :)

One of B's favorite things to do was:

go out...
WDWDay56004.jpg

come in...
WDWDay56005.jpg

repeat, repeat, repeat.

Here's the view again from our patio.
WDWDay56006.jpg

WDWDay56007.jpg

WDWDay56008.jpg

It was on this morning that I found a cigarette butt on our patio. This made me very happy that I always double check the locks! I called the front desk and told them about it and they "made a note of it" whatever that meant.

Anyway, we finished getting ready and headed out the door. Today was going to be the warmest day of our trip, so we packed extra waters and hoped for the best.

Very quickly we saw this...
WDWDay56013.jpg

and A. did this...
WDWDay56017.jpg

Before we knew it we were parked, through security, and in the park!
WDWDay56018.jpg

We got there right as the opening show was starting. And like the rest of the park, headed to get Soarin' fast passes.
WDWDay56020.jpg

A. was checking the map to make sure we were headed the right direction...
WDWDay56022.jpg

(Isn't it great that she can read Japanese?)

Since Rob could tell I was dying to cut through the crowd to get there faster he let me go ahead and he said he'd meet me outside after I got the passes. So, I did just that. When I got to the machines, everyone was lined up, but there was one machine with no line. So, I went to that one.

When I got up to it a lady in the other line yelled, and I mean YELLED, "HEY LADY, YOU JUST CUT IN FRONT OF ALL OF US!" I didn't turn around because I didn't cut in front of anyone, then she said "YOU IN THE MAROON! GET IN LINE!" :headache: Well, by then the cast member had made her way over and looked at me and saw there was no line and no one behind me and said "How can you line jump when there is no line?" Then said in a loud voice "PLEASE USE ALL MACHINES". Needless to say that lady wasn't happy and proceeded to tell everyone around her that she wasn't. I don't understand some people.:sad2:

When I made my way outside I saw this.
WDWDay56024.jpg

And forgot all about the bad mood lady.

The fast pass return wasn't until 10:30, so we made our way over to Figment. We had never rode this one, and guess, what...it was down. So, we made our way to the back to play around.

WDWDay56026.jpg

WDWDay56030.jpg

WDWDay56037.jpg

WDWDay56042.jpg

We had such a good time back there. It was empty in there, so we all just playing around, having fun. All that running around made us hungry, so we headed back out to the stroller for a snack.

After snack, Rob wanted to play that Piggy Bank game with A., so we headed over there.
WDWDay56054.jpg

B. and I sat outside and just people watched.
WDWDay56055.jpg

It was taking them forever, so we walked around and looked through the gift shop. When they came out Rob said it was fun, but A. didn't really understand it. She was upset because she wanted to take the "Piggy" with her. It was almost time to use my fastpass (Rob is afraid of heights, so he didn't want to try this one), so Rob took the kids to look for ice cream and I headed to Soarin'!

Can you believe that I've never rode this one? I was so excited. Since I was a single rider and in the fast pass line, I moved up pretty quickly. I LOVED it! I can't wait to ride it again in May!

When I exited I found them quickly and we headed to go try out some "spicy".

WDWDay56065.jpg

Since we are mean, we had A. try the Beverly.
WDWDay56058.jpg

WDWDay56060.jpg

WDWDay56061.jpg

"Continued"

Then I felt guilty and took a drink of the Beverly. (I still don't like it.) Then Rob felt like he had to take a drink...
WDWDay56064.jpg

Then because we had all taken a drink, we gave B. a drink.
WDWDay56070.jpg

He wouldn't even swallow it! :rotfl:

After this, we were all getting hungry so we decided to head over to WS and try out the festival!

Our first stop, Canada!
WDWDay56074.jpg

I got one serving of the Cheddar Cheese soup. Rob said it was too hot for soup, so I shared it with the kids. I should have gotten 2 bowls!

Next stop: Cork, Ireland for some Fisherman's Pie. Rob ate this and said it was very good.

After this we ran into this cutie.
WDWDay56077.jpg

WDWDay56078.jpg

And then this lovely lady.
WDWDay56080.jpg

WDWDay56084.jpg

There was no one else in line so she really took a lot of time with A. and of course A. was just having a ball. She asked her about all the jibbitz on her crocs, her trip so far, and just really took time to make A. smile. It was great!

WDWDay56085.jpg

Our next food stop was Paris for some Chocolate Milk Creme Brulee. Boy, was that good! I only got one bite, and the kids had the rest, but that one bite was good!

Next stop: Japan! We love the store in Japan, so we stopped to browse around at all the item.
WDWDay56088.jpg

WDWDay56089.jpg

Of course we had to stop for the Kaki Gori. Oh my goodness! We love them. We actually got two and ate very bite!
WDWDay56091.jpg

Our next stop was Hops and Barley for a Crab Cake w/Cabbage Slaw and Remoulade. It was okay. I probably wouldn't get it again.

It was at this point that Rob started to look pale again. I asked if he was feeling okay and he said "Not really, it just hit me all at once." So, we decided to end our morning and head back to the resort.

At this point, A. saw someone with Pizza and had a little temper tantrum because she wanted pizza. :sad2:

WDWDay56094.jpg

So, we stopped at Bologna, Italy and got her one. It was a waste of money, because even she wouldn't eat it. We would not recommend it!

We made it to the parking lot and Rob was VERY pale at this point. I think it was a combo of still feeling a little sick, it being very hot, and him not drinking enough water. So, he went right and sat down in the car and I put the kids in the car seats.

It was at this point that I noticed that B. also felt very warm. :sad2:

I drove us back to the resort and I was right. B. had a fever! Poor guy. He wasn't acting sick at all, which made me think it was because of the tooth he was getting, but we didn't want to take any chances. We put him down for nap, Rob went to lay down, and A. and I headed to the pool.

At the pool I talked her into going down the "big slide" and boy did she have a blast! So, the rest of the afternoon was spent with me taking her up to the slide, running back to the pool and waiting for her to slide down. After a few trips, we made friends with 2 girls. One was 14 and the other was 12, sisters.

They fell in love with A. and would "watch" her while I ran down to the pool. One would go down the slide, then the other would help A. get ready. Then the one girl and I would catch A. when she came down. They were very sweet!

After about an hour/hour and a half we headed back to the room to check on our boys.

Up next: I'll just cancel it...

Tutto sounds so very good. I have that on our "next trip" list (along with a million others :rolleyes1). I hope you are able to talk him into Y&Y!! Is he not big on Asian food?

I thought so too! I'm looking forward to it.

No, he loves Asian food! I thought for sure that would be on his list. I may just make an ADR and not tell him until we get there!:rotfl:
