WOW!! I can't believe your dinner in the palace! It looked beautiful...those pampered chef people must be making alot of dough.
I guess I don't get the beethoven frieze......when I think of beethoven naked people isn't what springs to my mind. But then, I'm no lover of modern or impressionist art.
The church was gorgeous and the tiled roof....it makes our architecture look very bland.
I'm so glad you shared your trip with us! I love seeing new places and dreaming of one day visiting myself.
Wow, that must have been some night to remember. Every thing looked so beautiful. Why didn't they do that years ago when I sold Tupperware?
All those great pictures of the architecture..and what do I notice first? The Golden Arches.![]()
What a fantastic dinner....!!! The appetizers look a bit too foo foo for me. Were they good. i am NOT an adventurous eater.
So all the people there at the dinner are from the PChef around the globe? How cool is that!
And I thought there was WOW factor before! That was one amazing evening! I would love to hear the boys' choir sing someday. You used a good word- angelic. I've heard recordings, but I imagine in a hall like that, you got an even better feel for what they can really do. How fun!
Jordan thinks it's all foo-foo. They looked great to me. I'd probably have thoguht the shrimp was the best too. Even though we live in THE place for caviar, I really don't like it. At our local airport, in the international terminal, there is a kiosk called the "House of Caviar".I don't know why that is always so funny to me. Anyway, just too salty for me. and fishy, and the texture, let's not even go there.
The whole thing is just up my alley. Alas, it's tough having an ecclesiastical budget with Queen Elizabeth's taste. (no comments are necessary)![]()
It's been a wonderful TR, Glenn! Really, your pictures are all very beautiful and you brought a piece of the world to us. THANKS! I completely know how much work goes into every update, and I really appreciate your pressing on!
Now, more planning!![]()
what were those main entrees?
Oh yeah....
That is one "loaded" table!! There are more wine glasses there than there are mammaries on the frieze!
The whole thing makes we wonder if the Austrian Bureau of Tourism wasn't somehow involved? Maybe even a sponsor??It would kinda be the ultimate ad for future tourism/ business there.
oo okay that is what yours looked like, was not sure on your wifes, but i see it now.Mine (the first picture of entrees) was filet mignon (I think). Judy's was some kind of fish. The fish is the outer portion. It's wrapped around something, and I have no idea what!. She took a bite (that turkey) before I could get the picture taken, so a little piece of fish is missing.

WOW!
That's all I got. What an amazing evening!
I guess I could've gone with "honey", but that just isn't the same as "turkey".
That sums it up pretty well!
