The Most Expensive Free Trip Ever - TR Link is Up! Pg. 164

Awesome on Judy getting the job and the school not having an issue with her getting the time off at the end of the year. :cool1:

Here's hoping the added hecticity ;) won't be too stressful. :goodvibes

(I borrowed this chapter title from The Little Rascals. I can just hear them all saying it in unison.)

Quick life update....Judy got the job! :cool1: She accepted it today.

She's now a full-time high school math teacher. It'll increase the hecticity (my own word and sure to catch on, I'm sure) on the home-front, but it'll be good. She's been loving subbing for this particular position for the last 3 weeks, talking about her "kids" (the students) when she's been home. She's stressed, but enjoying it.

Edited to add: I almost forgot. When she interviewed, at the end, she said "Oh, I have one thing I need to tell you". And the HR person (whom Judy had never met) said, "I think I know what it is." And Judy told them that she couldn't work past June 11 due to a paid vacation that cannot be moved. The HR person said, "I knew that. I overheard you mentioning to someone else that you were hoping for no snow days due to a vacation you had. That speaks to your character that you're telling us now." And they said that it won't be a problem. :thumbsup2

Awesome that she got the job AND that they were cool with the vacay!!!!!!!

:thumbsup2 Congrats to Judy!!!!!!! And I heart The Little Rascals! My dad was in the navy with Spanky for a bit. :teacher:

I do know what Stan it is you're leaving though. :teeth:
I think I know, but I'll have to ask borat if he knows..

Ahh, good question. It is a "permanent" assignment, so potentially she'll be back in the fall. But we'll see how it goes and decide as we get closer.

:thumbsup2 Congrats to Judy!!!!!!! And I heart The Little Rascals! My dad was in the navy with Spanky for a bit. :teacher:

Thanks. Hey, that's cool that your dad met Spanky.

Now why didn't I think to put the teacher smilie in my post?! :headache:

:banana:Yay for Judy! Was she a math teacher in her former life?

Not really...she was an industrial engineer. She has 2 undergrad degrees, in math and industrial engineering. Shortly after we were married there was a lot of turmoil where she worked and we decided it'd be a good move if she got her teaching certificate. So, she took night classes for the coursework and then had to take a leave of absence for her student teaching. (Sorry, this is turning into a long answer to a short question.) Things worked out that she was able to stay at home while we had little tykes, and she started her PChef business. She's been doing some substitute teaching for the last year or so, and here we are.

Hecticity.....definatly has potential...

You definitely can relate. Kitchen construction. Mother-in-law. New driver. Broken carousel horse.

Yay Judy!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to Judy! Welcome to the wonderful world of education...hopefully, budget issues there are not as bad as they are here.

I like hecticity...(I first tried to spell it heckticity, which could also work ;)). It would definitely describe life around here from time to time! Congrats on the airfare credit (I'm just getting caught up). We're still looking at driving here...

No prob!

Mmmm, not planning on Dec. 2011. Is that when you're going next?

::yes:: To WDW for a 13 day extravaganza (2 of the days are travel days though but will be fun anyway). I already have the title of my pre-trip report. :rotfl2: :ssst:

99 more days til we meet!!!!!!

 Sweet! I can't wait. Was talking to Jenna today and we were deciding on ADRs. Will you want to do the parks Friday or meet at the GCV or Downtown Disney? I don't remember if you've got an AP.

Thanks. Yeah, who knows re. budget issues. We're kind of looking at it as bonus right now.

We've driven twice. It's a little cheaper, but man, you spend a lot in vacation time.

Congrats to Judy!!! Glad that she doesn't have to worry about time off for the the vacation. We don't have to worry about snow days just hurricane days.
