The MOST controversial straw poll ever!

How do you tear the paper off your straws?

  • Tear it in the middle

  • Tear it from one end

  • My straws are naked

  • I don't ever use a straw

Results are only viewable after voting.
Straw paper must be torn at one end, so you can then blow the straw paper left on the straw at the person sitting across from you.

I thought everyone knew this. :confused3

No, you open it at the end then slide it down the straw so it crinkles up and you can put a drop of soda on it and make a wiggly worm and totally impress your children!

My DH always opens them from the middle, and I always wondered why? I open it from the end.

I voted on the end, but that's because you didn't have my real option. I usually bang the straw on the counter (vertically), so that it rips through the paper by itself. Although I will occasionally do what the previous posters have mentioned as well - use the straw wrapper as a deadly projectile against my kids, or try and impress someone with a "wrapper snake". But normally I just bang it against the counter for the quickest way to get to the actual straw.

I always tear mine in the middle. :)

I rip in the middle. I can never get just part of it to stay on the straw like I am being served in a restaurant!

I chose from the end, but I too usually 'bang' it on the counter/table to make the straw pop through!

Open it from both ends and push it towards the middle so it crinkles; then pull it out. Don't think I'd ever want to open my straw any other way. ::yes::

I tap it on the counter, while holding it tightly near the top. The straw then protrudes through the top. Voila.
