The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

Way too late for Judys (or is the correct plural Judies???),

I think it's "Judys".

but I counted 15 Glens, must be the highest number of Glens in any of your TR updates!! :thumbsup2

Hey, you're right...it had to have broken the old record by a longshot. I like the way you think.

You did a great job capturing your family's avatars in the game.

Thanks.

Since I picked up your TR through the links in the beginning, I have absolutely no idea what the whole "Judy" count is.:sad2: But, I'd be willing to learn.::yes::

Rosie covered it pretty well in her response to you, but I'll add that it was Marv's idea. In one of the first chapters, the one of our lunch at the Pepper Market, I mentioned that Judy was noticeable in a crowd of people in one of my pictures of the inside of the restaurant. In response to that Marv suggested that we have a game like "Where's Waldo" where we look for Judy in the future chapters. Sometimes it's easy and it's a race for the first to post "0 Judys!" Other times it's more difficult, like on the day all of PChef-dom was wearing red shirts. Still, I think it's uncanny how some of these pictures turned out, where she's at the edge of the screen or something, considering that the game was created after the pictures were taken.

Like this one from the last chapter...who'd a thunk it?

I, like many PP, have to spend more time in Innoventions this upcoming trip. That's if I'm able to pry DH away from WS, and also myself from the F&G displays......yeah, who am I kidding? Innoventions may just have to wait until October.:sad1:

Too funny! I love the "yeah, who am I kidding?"

You're right though, plan it for when you're ready.

Well the idea is let Marv win at all times !!:lmao:That is his idea of the Rules Committee !!:lmao:
BuuuuTTTT in actual fact when Glen posts pix we count how many Judy's or parts of Judy we see !!! Judy is now aware of this little game cuz somebody blabbed :rolleyes1:rotfl2:
If playing just remember Marv will always argue why he should have won !!!!:lmao:
I am sure others will add their take on the Judy game !!!! Glen has a master plan to always post them while I am at work which makes Marv happy as I am a;ways a day late and a dollar short:lmao:

We were just laughing about this the other day. Judy has since mentioned the game to the kids and they were like, "how could you not tell Mom?" And I said, "Well, how do you tell somone 'Oh, by the way. Everyone reading my TR is playing a game where they're looking for you in all the pictures'." :confused3

Let somebody else tell her, that's how. :rotfl2:

Thanks Rosie, I hope that Glen's master plan doesn't always get in the way of good clean fun for everyone. But of course, in Liesa's case, we would have to edit that to good, semi-sweaty, un-clean fun!:lmao:

I think it's good clean fun, as long as Marv's not mad  anymore after last night's appeal.

Poor Liesa. :rotfl:

never knew that game was there.

looks like alot of fun

Yep, check it out next time you're there. I'm sure you'll have another opportunity.

hey glenn i got an idea on how to solve the judy game and the disputes.

put me in charge of the rule committee...i never get anywhere close to answering in time.

That's true.

so i would be a fair impartial judge.
and the fact that i would always rule against marv should help

:rolleyes1

While it may seem that way, the Rules Committee is not necessarily "anti-Marv".

my ruling on this round would be that indeed only 2 of the judys count, as was stated that the other sub judys were indeed a representation of judys using numbers. and thus not a true judy.

:teacher:

Are you forgetting that all of the pictures were taken wth a digital camera using oodles of zero's and one's?

I appreciate your offer, but I think I have to paraphrase Frodo here.

"You must understand, the Judy-do game is my burden. It will destroy you, Sam. Er, Dan."

I can see more massive and blatant cases of defamation of character is happening. :lmao:

That's what I was thinking. Pile on!!!

I was just practicing for my debut as a star in any PG-13 movie being released these days. My arm flab tried out for a few roles too, but was deemed to active for anything in production right now.

Hmmm, we just have to find the right roll, er I mean role, for your arm flab.

ETA: Glenn, I'm really going to get to comments on your Tronathon post. I've scanned it, but not enough to make intelligent comments (and yes, I do make a few of those once in a while.)

Oh shoot, you had to add that parenthetical part before I could reply, didn't you? No problem on comments. Take your time...you've got a lot going on.

You packed air horns, too, didn't you? Admit it.

No, but it's going on the list for next time! :thumbsup2

Random graffiti? :confused3

Hmmm, no that's not it.

I'm sorry. You looked at that picture again, didn't you?

:rotfl2: Arc welders and eclipses.

Hmm. I don't recall any pictures of Judy dressing like that. :confused3

Oh sure...that's her.

I'm just glad that text didn't read "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." over and over again. :thumbsup2

I'd tell you that on at least two occasions I tried to work a Jack Nicholson reference in there, but if I said that then people'd think that we're eerily similar.

"Heeeeere's Johnny!"

Were the effects equally as good as this game?

Allllmost.

Actually, it was kind of neat to see Jeff Bridges as 1980's Jeff Bridges (as CLU) and today's Jeff Bridges (as Kevin Flynn). Apparently they used CGI to, um, the only word I can come up with is youth-anize :scared1: his face. It looked pretty realistic, but kind of like in "The Polar Express" the eyes looked weird. Like there was no soul behind them.

Yeah, we don't need that. Next thing you know, we'd start wearing similar clothing.

Yeah, I've seen that problem with computer-generated characters. Although maybe in Tron it fits, since the character is a program with no soul. :confused3

"No TV and no beer makes Homer something, something." "Go crazy?" "Don't mind if I do!!!"

Sorry I couldn't resist! btw, LOVE The Shining!

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

That is my wife's all-time favorite Simpsons quote! :thumbsup2

I know Glenn said it but aren't all the pictures of Judy using numbers since they are digital? So there is only 1 true Judy. I guess we are just looking for Judys once removed? :rotfl2:

You tell her the same way you tell your DH he is wearing the same shirt ( uniform) as 2 other guys who had a Dis meet. :lmao:

is youth-anize :scared1: his face.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Alrighty, I'm officially de-lurking, not to be confused with de-icing (we got a nice little ice storm last night:eek:). Although technically I de-lurked on Jen's TR. Like I said over there, you have the sweetest little family, your kids are adorable!:goodvibes I love your updates too! Great pictures and it looks like you had a wonderful time together. I definitely feel like I'm late to this party though! Better late than never, right?

For the record, "The Shining" is one the creepiest movies I've ever seen! I can't even watch that part in "Twister" where they're at the drive-in and "The Shining" is playing! Those twin girls, ugh, they gave me nightmares.

Oh and whoever's hand this is has really clean nails!:thumbsup2

:welcome: to my TR and to the Disboards DisneyGirlDownUnder!!!

Wow, I'm honored that your first post was on my thread....you made my day! Thanks for your kind words and for letting me know that you're enjoying the TR.

Oh, and thanks for reading the 2009 report also. Have you been following along since then, or did you find that one first?

Haha well I'm glad I've finally made my first post :)

I've been following since 2009 so it's definitely taken me a long time to say hi!

"No TV and no beer makes Homer something, something." "Go crazy?" "Don't mind if I do!!!"

Sorry I couldn't resist! btw, LOVE The Shining!

I like the Simpsons, but don't watch it very much so I don't recognize this quote. :guilty: Bummer.

Yeah, we don't need that. Next thing you know, we'd start wearing similar clothing.

Not that anyone'd notice.

Yeah, I've seen that problem with computer-generated characters. Although maybe in Tron it fits, since the character is a program with no soul. :confused3

I was just going to say the same...oh, nevermind.

Her and I would get along well :teeth:

Mark will have to teach her the Candian :thumbsup2 first.

I know Glenn said it but aren't all the pictures of Judy using numbers since they are digital? So there is only 1 true Judy. I guess we are just looking for Judys once removed? :rotfl2:

Glad you're with me on that one.

You tell her the same way you tell your DH he is wearing the same shirt ( uniform) as 2 other guys who had a Dis meet. :lmao:

As I recall, you didn't explain the rest of that story to him. Too much of a :headache:

:teeth:

Well, lookie! :welcome: 3prettyprincesses!!! Did I see you called "Molly" on another thread? Thank you for all of the kind words, it's great to have you here.

I still have a couple of days of the trip to cover, so there's still more to come. I'm afraid I may have to open another thread though.

We had ice here too, and the kids' school was cancelled. Add a day in June. :sad1: But it was definitely too icy this morning to be on the roads.

I remember it being pretty creepy, but it's been a looong time since I've seen it.

Oh and whoever's hand this is has really clean nails!:thumbsup2

Oh, well, yes...that would be me.

Know where I can find work as a hand model?

Haha well I'm glad I've finally made my first post :)

I've been following since 2009 so it's definitely taken me a long time to say hi!

 Well I'm glad that you did. Feel free to make yourself comfortable and join in the fun.

Know where I can find work as a hand model?

Yes, it's me, Molly.:goodvibes Glad to be here too!

School was cancelled here as well, too much ice! My kids were so excited then they realized you can't really 'play' outside on the ice very well! I think they were thinking of snow...

Well, last I heard, George Costanza was fired as a hand model so maybe you could take over for him??

Glen, great update as always. I don't think we've spent any time at Innoventions in years. One of these days we'll have to do that. I love the picture of Judy and the kids at AKL (they look raring to go).

OK, that was just some weird funky stuff, that game thingy there. I"m totally confused; is that like a life-sized video game or what??

Haven't seen Tron yet- looking forward to it, though. I went to see Tangled yesterday, and it cost us nearly $60 with NO pop, candy or popcorn!!!

$60!!!!!!:scared1::scared1::scared1:

I'm thinking we'll see Tron on video when it comes to Red Box.

Yeah, no playing in the snow going on here. It was miserable outside. Cold, rainy, icy. Yuck.

Well, last I heard, George Costanza was fired as a hand model so maybe you could take over for him??

From now on, no one is allowed to touch my hands. Judy will have to go ahead of me, shaking people's hands for me and intercepting anything that could potentially damage my cuticles. Actually, that reminds me....not too long ago I saw a Youtube video of a real hand model being interviewed. It was hilarious, at the way she took herself so seriously and kind of looked down her nose :snooty: at the interviewer, especially when the interviewer tried to make a hand-pose.

I don't know that they change the stuff in there that often, so you might have seen pretty much everything in there, but it's worth checking out.

They look raring to go now....

OK, that was just some weird funky stuff, that game thingy there. I"m totally confused; is that like a life-sized video game or what??

Sorry, I probably confused you in my attempt to not make it a completely boring chapter. You go into this booth and it records a couple seconds of video of you running, then jumping, and lastly doing a victory dance. Then you go over to a videogame, a regular arcade-sized videogame, and play the game with "you" (the video snippets that were taken a moment ago) as the avatar. When you move forward it just uses the "running" video, if you jump, it's the "jumping" one...yada yada yada. It's not all that exciting of a videogame necessarily, but it's neat to see yourself in the game.

Haven't seen Tron yet- looking forward to it, though. I went to see Tangled yesterday, and it cost us nearly $60 with NO pop, candy or popcorn!!!

$60!!!!!!:scared1::scared1::scared1:

I'm thinking we'll see Tron on video when it comes to Red Box.

We saw the 3D version (because it was the only one at our theater) and it cost me TWELVE BUCKS for my ticket and ELEVEN for James. :faint: Then, since it was a reward for him, I blew a bunch more on popcorn and pop. But we tried to get the most of it -- I asked about refills when I ordered and we could get them on the large sizes. We downed one huge bucket of popcorn before the movie was 10 minutes in and I got a refill, then we finished that before the end of the movie. Before we left, we got another refill of popcorn that the girls ate when we got home. And pop, they were huge cups too, which we refilled before we left. James had to um, go, halfway through the movie, at the end of the movie, and then I had to pull over so he could go along the side of the highway on the way home. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:lmao:Yup, you sound like a natural! Make sure you wrap your delicate hands in oven mitts so they are protected at all times! I'm sure Judy would love that...'honey, here comes Bob and Eileen (I made up the names;)), make sure to shake his hand for me and if he's lucky, maybe, just maybe I'll take a picture with him'! Ya, what wife wouldn't want to be intercepting all the handshakes for her DH??:confused3 I'll have to find that snooty hand model on youtube now!

Ugh, 3-D movies are expensive! We (all 5 of us) went to see Voyage of the Dawn Treader and it was like $60 and we hadn't even bought food yet! After we buying tickets, DH bought a HUGE popcorn, candy and soda. I told my kids to eat up, that was supper, especially for that price!

and then I had to pull over so he could go along the side of the highway on the way home. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Did you ever consider going on the mission field? Using the facili-trees is an art!! Sounds like you're training your boy well. :lmao:

Thanks for your explanation- it's all cleared up now!

You crack me up. I'm beginning to think that there's always a ruckus at your house.
What gave it away? :confused3 Ashlyn's :badpc: the new 40" HDTV? The kids running around unsupervised? Me being a delinquent dad, hiding away at the PC :surfweb:

Glad we can add some comic relief

Molly, you are here too??? :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Glen, great update as always. I don't think we've spent any time at Innoventions in years. One of these days we'll have to do that. I love the picture of Judy and the kids at AKL (they look raring to go).

Hi Kathy:flower3: Yes, I'm here too! And I agree about Innoventions. It's on my list of things to do for this upcoming trip, we'll see if it actually happens though! I'd love to be a Tron character and look all cool like Glenn! I'm thinking I'd have better dance moves though!

I'm surprised that you're trying to convince your husband to see it. Usually, it's the other way around with science-fiction stuff.
Well, in our house, I'm the science-fiction fan - have been since I was a kid. But usually I can convince my DH, that because of the innovative technic of the movie he has to see it as well.

I guess I'm going to have to look into this "Daft Punk". For some reason I picture them like this:

GangstaDaffyduck.jpg

 Maybe you have a point here - is that the reason they don't show their faces???

Rules Committee - those are ghosts of the Judy not additional Judy's.
Part should be defined as a partial view in a photo where the face is not visible. Like an arm, leg or fingers.
Hey, Glenn makes up enough Post Post Facto rules on his own! It is how the Rules Committee covers up their lack of due diligence when coming up with the wrong answer on the front end of the Judy-do contest installments.... :sad2:
If we are making appeals to the rules committee....I would like to submit an alternate answer of 2 judys. The first two......the others are computer created avatars in a Judy inspired shape.....:rolleyes1
Well there's a good argument, since they ALL are computer created images when he posts them!
Additional parts, but I think, er I mean the Rules Committee has deemed that they're showing motion since it was a moving videogame. Good attempt though.

The Committee basically agrees with you and has disallowed those particular "parts".
Okay, so if I had been the first to say 10, I'm betting you would have said that the one in the FP picture was actually crummy photography and since the Judy is blurred, it doesn't really count and the answer in 9..... :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I know I am tooooo late but as usual Glenn waits till I'm at work:snooty::rotfl2:I saw 10 !!!!!:banana:
Okay, Rosie came up with 10. That should tell you right there that 10 can't possibly be the correct answer!!! :lmao:
Again, sorry about that Rosie. The Rules Committee appreciates your endorsement of "10".
Sad when the Rules Committee loses ALL credibility....... :sad2: The woman lap dances pigs for goodness sake!!!
put me in charge of the rule committee...i never get anywhere close to answering in time.

so i would be a fair impartial judge.
and the fact that i would always rule against marv should help

:rolleyes1

my ruling on this round would be that indeed only 2 of the judys count, as was stated that the other sub judys were indeed a representation of judys using numbers. and thus not a true judy.
I bet you think that Chip and Dale you met at Disney are real too, don't you??? :rolleyes1 Besides, you have to be able to spell before you can hand down legal and binding judgements...... :rotfl:
I have to second this. The computer created avatars are simply 1's and 0's. They are not true Judy's.
I know Glenn said it but aren't all the pictures of Judy using numbers since they are digital? So there is only 1 true Judy.
I appreciate you both agreeing with me that my "Judy parts" are just as valid as every other image in this game! :thumbsup2 I think the Rules Committee is just upset that I was more thorough in my research than they were. Some of the members must be moonlighting as NCAA Sanctions Committee members too...... :rotfl2:

Oh and whoever's hand this is has really clean nails!:thumbsup2
IMG_3611.jpg
There is a good explanation for this. That is the thumb that Glenn, uh I mean the Rules Committee ;) sucks on while trying to decide how to get out of their embarrassment that Marv was better at examining the contest pictures than they were......AGAIN! :sad2:
From now on, no one is allowed to touch my hands. Judy will have to go ahead of me, shaking people's hands for me and intercepting anything that could potentially damage my cuticles.
I can't wait until the next DISmeet where Rosie blabs Judy's new role to her. Can you say :scared1:  ! :lmao:

Yes, it's me, Molly.:goodvibes Glad to be here too!

All this time and I don't think I knew your real name. HEY MOLLY! :goodvibes

We saw the 3D version (because it was the only one at our theater) and it cost me TWELVE BUCKS for my ticket and ELEVEN for James. :faint:

We did Tangled in 3D only because it was the best time for us to see it. I think Henry's ticket was $14 and Joe and mine was $17. :scared1: And we are in QUEENS - which is incredibly more reasonable than Manhattan. I know for the IMAX 3D in Manhattan it's over $20 a ticket.

After we dropped $50 on a movie we realized next time we could PURCHASE several movies off iTunes and set up our projector and make popcorn. :rotfl:

I appreciate you both agreeing with me that my "Judy parts" are just as valid as every other image in this game! :thumbsup2 I think the Rules Committee is just upset that I was more thorough in my research than they were.
