The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

I have to second this. The computer created avatars are simply 1's and 0's. They are not true Judy's.

:rotfl:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Loved the DIS meet and all the chatter that followed - had me rolling with laughter! And Joe owns the same shirt. Does anyone out there have a husband who doesn't own that shirt????

I know right??? I was trying hard to hold in the laughter when my DH put that shirt on. I am not sure I could have gotten through the explaination without :rotfl2:

And just an FYI - I will never, never being using the Liesa Greeting during ANY DIS meet. :lmao:

We should all figure a way out to have an EXTRA shirt on and arrange to give Liesa the "Liesa greeting" the next time we see her. :rotfl2:

Great TRON update too! I have wanted to do that game for the past several trips, but never see it, which is VERY strange considering we have done everything else in Innoventions West....we gotta find it this time! Great job capturing images of the game. Too bad you never got the email though. Disney seems kinda hit and miss with that stuff - sometimes we get ours, sometimes we get someone else's, and sometimes we don't get it at all....:confused3 Joe has been itchin' to see TRON in IMAX 3D but hasn't gone yet. I should have sent him this weekend but didn't even think about it. :sad2:

It is part of the Smarter Planet exhibit. If I am not mistaken it is to the left if you enter by the fire truck. I would say it is not inthe "normal path" you take when you go in, I always go to the right.

I LOVE YOUR IDEA!!!! Oh man that would be HILARIOUS! ::yes::

We always enter right by the firetruck for the little man. And this past trip we spent time at those same computers in the Smarter Planet exhibit, yet I didn't see this. Thanks for the info about it being in the Smarter Planet area, I WILL find it! And we are finally going over to Innoventions East too, we haven't been in there since 2006 and once Henry found out there was a garbage truck there he was doing this: :hyper: :rotfl: I'm sure he was thinking, "And WHY haven't we gone there yet????"

:rotfl2: Oh...my...goodness!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again - I have to get you and my husband to meet. I swear, you'd have enough in common to talk for hours. On second thought....maybe not. ;) Seriously, my entire household is caught up in Tron mania, all the way down to the two year old. Everyone but Mom, that is! I'm a little tired of hearing about lightcycles and the grid and everything else (we have the videogame for the Wii, and Santa brought lots of little Tron toys for the stockings), and then I log on and see your new post. I have to admit that I was laughing pretty hard!

It was actually James' idea to go....it was a reward for keeping his room clean, and that's what he picked. I saw the original TRON when it came out in the early '80's and thought it was just "okay" so I wasn't too excited about this one. But I'm glad we went, I think it was better than the first one.

We never have spent any time in Innovations! :confused3 You'd think that, since my nine-year-old has been there four times, we'd have stopped to do some of the non-headline ride things. But, no - and there's still plenty of the non-headline ride things we haven't done! I really do want to spend some time in Innovations next trip, though!

I know...it's easy to skip. The only way is to put it into The Plan. Or, get a day-long deluge of rain -- that'll drive you in there, along with everybody else in the park.

(I deleted a couple in order to get below the limit for embedded objects. )

You need to turn that  :upsidedow

:)

Now that's a good response! :thumbsup2

Loved the DIS meet and all the chatter that followed - had me rolling with laughter! And Joe owns the same shirt. Does anyone out there have a husband who doesn't own that shirt????

Glad you liked it. They had different colored buttons...completely different shirts.

And just an FYI - I will never, never being using the Liesa Greeting during ANY DIS meet. :lmao:

Congrats, you are now on Judy's "approved" list.

It's not hard to find, but....I imagine Henry pulls you in all kinds of different directions, so maybe it is. Just ask a CM for the IBM exhibit and you should be good to go.

Yeah, most of the time we don't get our e-mailed stuff. I don't know what it is with them.

I'm not sure about IMAX, but I doubt that it'll be out much longer in the regular theaters. The one we went to only had 3 showings per day, whereas all of the other movies had several more. I think it's run is wrapping up.

I know I am tooooo late but as usual Glenn waits till I'm at work:snooty::rotfl2:I saw 10 !!!!!:banana:

Again, sorry about that Rosie. The Rules Committee appreciates your endorsement of "10".

I know right??? I was trying hard to hold in the laughter when my DH put that shirt on. I am not sure I could have gotten through the explaination without :rotfl2:

DIS-inside jokes are very hard to explain!

We should all figure a way out to have an EXTRA shirt on and arrange to give Liesa the "Liesa greeting" the next time we see her. :rotfl2:

She'd go:  :scared:

Yup, right across from Smarter Planet.

I LOVE YOUR IDEA!!!! Oh man that would be HILARIOUS! ::yes::

I'm thinking of the other people in the area, seeing you ladies whip off shirts, "extra" or not. :rotfl2:

Garbage truck huh? Hmmmm.

I had to look it up on Allears. They did a blog about it.
Yes, Boys and their big trucks. My DS when he was little wore out a construction video.

Now that's a good response! :thumbsup2

Do I get a point?

I could use the term "binary" to show my uber-geeked-ness.

Congrats, you are now on Judy's "approved" list.

:rotfl:

It's not hard to find, but....I imagine Henry pulls you in all kinds of different directions, so maybe it is. Just ask a CM for the IBM exhibit and you should be good to go.

Okay, I think I know just where it is. Thank you! Henry does pull us all around, he will run around everywhere if we let him! I think he would really enjoy seeing this, or participating if he can.

Aw! That's a bummer. He might have to wait for DVD then.

I'm thinking of the other people in the area, seeing you ladies whip off shirts, "extra" or not. :rotfl2:

Garbage truck huh? Hmmmm.

:lmao: Oh boy - we'd probably make other people's TRs!!!

Yep, the Waste Management exhibit. You get to push around little "garbage trucks" and learn about recycling and all that.

I had to look it up on Allears. They did a blog about it.
Yes, Boys and their big trucks. My DS when he was little wore out a construction video.

Yep, allears is where I showed Henry the picture of the garbage truck that made him start running around the room in excitement. I want to do Storm Struck too.

We have put a few of Henry's favorites from VHS onto DVD because of this problem. One fire trucks VHS is all warbly and blacks out in certain spots. Joe put it onto DVD a couple weeks ago and even the copy is better quality! He could watch that or just about any Bob the Builder all day if we let him. We don't get TV anymore, just Netflix, so he's not as into Playhouse Disney as he used to be-Disney has VERY few things available on instant streaming Netflix.

Great coverage of the video game! Sadly, I have not seen TRON yet.. not sure if I will. I haven't even seen the original :rolleyes1

Did you happen to catch your game on video? It's really cool to see yourself in action.

Glenn, I'm checking in. I've got a backlog of pages to catch up on (I'm still on Boma) but wanted to say "hi" :wave2: Meanwhile, I hear a ruckus in the kids rooms :rolleyes1 Thankfully, Wendy's on deck :rotfl2:

Update: I just caught up on the last twenty something pages (with some reads of the in between dialogue) since AKL. Have to say, my recollection of those hallways was that they were WAY TOO LONG. I understand the design rationale but I would hate to leave a camera or something on the way out to the bus :scared1:

That was a funny update, Glenn! And good to know you thought the new Tron to be better than the original one, I have some problems to convince my DH to go and see it. So far only the music is tempting, Daft Punk sounds much better at the cinema than in our living room.

We really need to get back to Innoventions next time we visit. We've spent a little time in there, but I think last time I was feeling sick. The Tron game looks so cool!

Hey, I've been a lurker here for a while (infact it was your 2009 TR that first got me hooked) and I just wanted to come out from hiding to say how much I'm enjoying this TR!! :)

Way too late for Judys (or is the correct plural Judies???), but I counted 15 Glens, must be the highest number of Glens in any of your TR updates!! :thumbsup2

You did a great job capturing your family's avatars in the game.

We should all figure a way out to have an EXTRA shirt on and arrange to give Liesa the "Liesa greeting" the next time we see her. :rotfl2:

:idea::thumbsup2

Since I picked up your TR through the links in the beginning, I have absolutely no idea what the whole "Judy" count is.:sad2: But, I'd be willing to learn.::yes::

I, like many PP, have to spend more time in Innoventions this upcoming trip. That's if I'm able to pry DH away from WS, and also myself from the F&G displays......yeah, who am I kidding? Innoventions may just have to wait until October.:sad1:

Well the idea is let Marv win at all times !!:lmao:That is his idea of the Rules Committee !!:lmao:
BuuuuTTTT in actual fact when Glen posts pix we count how many Judy's or parts of Judy we see !!! Judy is now aware of this little game cuz somebody blabbed :rolleyes1:rotfl2::rotfl2:
If playing just remember Marv will always argue why he should have won !!!!:lmao::lmao:
I am sure others will add their take on the Judy game !!!! Glen has a master plan to always post them while I am at work which makes Marv happy as I am a;ways a day late and a dollar short:lmao:

Would that someone happen to be you Rosie?:goodvibes

If playing just remember Marv will always argue why he should have won !!!!:lmao::lmao:
Thanks for that advice, I don't think I'll mess with Marv.

Thanks Rosie, I hope that Glen's master plan doesn't always get in the way of good clean fun for everyone. But of course, in Liesa's case, we would have to edit that to good, semi-sweaty, un-clean fun!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

never knew that game was there.

looks like alot of fun

hey glenn i got an idea on how to solve the judy game and the disputes.

put me in charge of the rule committee...i never get anywhere close to answering in time.

so i would be a fair impartial judge.
and the fact that i would always rule against marv should help

:rolleyes1

my ruling on this round would be that indeed only 2 of the judys count, as was stated that the other sub judys were indeed a representation of judys using numbers. and thus not a true judy.

:teacher:

But of course, in Liesa's case, we would have to edit that to good, semi-sweaty, un-clean fun!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I can see more massive and blatant cases of defamation of character is happening. :lmao: :lmao:

I was just practicing for my debut as a star in any PG-13 movie being released these days. My arm flab tried out for a few roles too, but was deemed to active for anything in production right now.

ETA: Glenn, I'm really going to get to comments on your Tronathon post. I've scanned it, but not enough to make intelligent comments (and yes, I do make a few of those once in a while.)

I had to look it up on Allears. They did a blog about it.
Yes, Boys and their big trucks. My DS when he was little wore out a construction video.

We wore out some videos too. I'm thinking a Richard Scarry's Busytown video maybe?

Do I get a point?

You earned a laugh, which is worth way more than a point. :thumbsup2

I could use the term "binary" to show my uber-geeked-ness.

Ooooooo :worship:

Okay, I think I know just where it is. Thank you! Henry does pull us all around, he will run around everywhere if we let him! I think he would really enjoy seeing this, or participating if he can.

Sounds like you've got it in your sights now.

Aw! That's a bummer. He might have to wait for DVD then.

He might still have some time...I'm just saying he probably should go soon if he really wants to catch it in the theater.

:lmao: Oh boy - we'd probably make other people's TRs!!!

That's how you know when you've "made it". :rotfl2:

Yep, the Waste Management exhibit. You get to push around little "garbage trucks" and learn about recycling and all that.

Yep, allears is where I showed Henry the picture of the garbage truck that made him start running around the room in excitement. I want to do Storm Struck too.

I may or may not be mentioning that in an upcoming installment. :rolleyes1

Great coverage of the video game! Sadly, I have not seen TRON yet.. not sure if I will. I haven't even seen the original :rolleyes1

Thanks!

I don't think you have to see the original to see the new one, but maybe rent it sometime.

Did you happen to catch your game on video? It's really cool to see yourself in action.

No, I was inside the game the whole time. Drat!

You crack me up. I'm beginning to think that there's always a ruckus at your house.

Update: I just caught up on the last twenty something pages (with some reads of the in between dialogue) since AKL. Have to say, my recollection of those hallways was that they were WAY TOO LONG. I understand the design rationale but I would hate to leave a camera or something on the way out to the bus :scared1:

They could definitely cause you to miss the next bus. And probably not a lot of fun after a long day in the parks.

That was a funny update, Glenn! And good to know you thought the new Tron to be better than the original one, I have some problems to convince my DH to go and see it. So far only the music is tempting, Daft Punk sounds much better at the cinema than in our living room.

Thanks, I was thinking I had to do something to liven up that update. It would've been pretty boring to just put up a bunch of pictures of a videogame screen.

I'm surprised that you're trying to convince your husband to see it. Usually, it's the other way around with science-fiction stuff.

I guess I'm going to have to look into this "Daft Punk". For some reason I picture them like this:

GangstaDaffyduck.jpg

We really need to get back to Innoventions next time we visit. We've spent a little time in there, but I think last time I was feeling sick. The Tron game looks so cool!

Yeah, after you've done the "biggies" like Soarin' and Test Track, you should plan some time to check out what they have in there. It's easy to overlook.

Hey, I've been a lurker here for a while (infact it was your 2009 TR that first got me hooked) and I just wanted to come out from hiding to say how much I'm enjoying this TR!! :)

:welcome: to my TR and to the Disboards DisneyGirlDownUnder!!!

Wow, I'm honored that your first post was on my thread....you made my day! Thanks for your kind words and for letting me know that you're enjoying the TR.

Oh, and thanks for reading the 2009 report also. Have you been following along since then, or did you find that one first?

And by “a little encouragement”, I mean turning on the lights, opening the curtains, pulling back the covers, and talking with our “outdoor voices”.

You packed air horns, too, didn't you? Admit it.

I think this method of displaying survey results has a name, but I forget what it’s called. Maybe someone can help me out with that.

Random graffiti? :confused3

All I can tell you is that I saw a blinding light, and the next thing I knew…

I'm sorry. You looked at that picture again, didn't you?

Maybe I could use a little rescue even on this side of the grid. But I digress.

Hmm. I don't recall any pictures of Judy dressing like that. :confused3

They even tried to throw ancient technologies at me, like this IBM Selectric. Not that I’m old enough to know anything about them.

I'm just glad that text didn't read "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." over and over again. :thumbsup2

Well, not the real world real world…back in Epcot, which is actually way better than the real world!

Agreed! :thumbsup2

By the way, and I don’t know why I thought of this, but James and I went to see “TRON: Legacy” over the weekend. It was pretty good. :thumbsup2

Were the effects equally as good as this game?
