The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

Terrific shot! :thumbsup2

Everest is really photogenic, and then there's something about all those prayer flags that catches the eye. I think we took approximately 1,235 pictures here.

But since they needed some sitar music, where else would they look?

I don't know. Asia? :rotfl2:

It was a little dark (for picture-taking, don’t worry -- little kids won’t be scared) and it was kind of hard to get good, unblurry pictures.

They all look good to me!

I loved it in the movie when I heard the “mountain” in the fishtank was called Mt. Wannahockaloogie. I wondered if one of the writers had heard that joke in their youth, like at summer camp or something.

I love that name too. ::yes::

Forming the Sydney Opera House. (I always have to tell Judy “I’ve been there”. It drives her crazy because she really wants to go to Australia someday.)

Ok, now I'm jealous along with Judy.

“Sir, the possibility of successfully navigating a jellyfish field is approximately 3,720 to 1.” Oops, wrong movie.

Never tell me the odds!

Looks like fun! I'm glad everyone enjoyed the show. We missed out on that one. I think it was because my wife really wanted to see the Lion King show instead. Sounds like you guys would recommend we get back and see this!

Wow! Outstanding pictures in Nemo! This show has really grown on me. I like it more each time I see it.

I tried very hard to find a Judy, but I found one Judy quote!! I hope this counts for something! ;)

I am very impressed by your pictures, they are wonderful. Somehow Nemo is just not my cup of tea. I loved the movie, but not the show. But then I am not a show person. :confused3 But I am glad that everyone in your family enjyoed it and I agree with Judy that the way the costumes are done is really very clever. :thumbsup2 In your pictures it even looks like that the puppeteers are really acting out the story.

Wow! Fabulous pictures of Nemo: The Musical. Thank you! Now I'll never have to see it again! :rotfl:

I know that's terrible. But you know that I didn't enjoy it. It's much better in pictures by Glenn, IMO :thumbsup2

Great pictures! I don't think pictures can spoil us for the show cause it's a musical. I mean, we all already know how the story goes. Except for those shellfish....did they do commentary?

I didn't get to do this on my last trip, but it's on my list for the next. Andrew's not big on musicals, so I wonder if he'll be able to enjoy it.

Nice pictures of Nemo. Your TR is making me realize that AK is the one park I absolutely want to have a solid plan for because we missed so much last time.
I, too, am a big George Harrison fan.

As for the shellfish, are they the lobsters from near the end of the movie? My husband and I (born and bred New Englanders) always laugh during that scene at their spot-on Boston accents and use of the phrase "wicked awesome." Don't know what purpose they serve in the musical as I've yet to see it.

As I said yesterday, no judy's

Looks like your drought is over Marv. You win this round! :cool1:

We LOVE that show - and you got some great shots!

Thank you!

It has definitely overtaken Festival of the Lion King for best show at AK and the one "can't miss" show.

It's nice to have another option -- we've seen Lion King two or three times.

I love how, while Finding Nemo (the movie) had no music, these tunes just fit right in like they've been there all along.

I think I was too busy concentrating on taking pictures, I can't remember the music very much! :rotfl2: Or maybe it just fit in so well, like you're describing.

And how about the size of Nigel? Isn't that insane?

That was cool. I imagine the eyes of little kids must get huge.

The show is usually very popular.
We went last year and the 2ish show was "Sold Out" so we had to come back.
Now we try to go there for one of the 1st shows in the morning.

I'm thinking that the 11:30 showing we went to was the first one of the day.

no judys in either post...combined zero judys.

come on marv, you should know that you have to be more specific than that.

You get honorable mention for being so thorough. :thumbsup2

very good pics glenn, they turned out nice and clear.

mine not so much.

Thanks. Like I said, it was kind of a challenge. The shutter had to stay open a little long, so I had to concentrate on holding the camera still.

:lmao: Sorry bub, I get extra points for being such a good clearvoyeur that I knew even yesterday there would be No Judy's in this next installment! :thumbsup2

Oh wait, that's clairvoyant isn't it??? My bad!!! :rolleyes1

I think you had it right the first time. Reminds me of one of my favorite Emo Phillips jokes:

"You've got to get up pretty early in the mornin'......

to catch me peeking through your bedroom window."

Terrific shot! :thumbsup2

Thanks Captain! 1,235...give or take.

I don't know. Asia? :rotfl2:

The band or the continent?

They all look good to me!

Well sure, I judiciously selected these....there's several more that didn't make the cut to be included in the TR. And a bunch more that were deleted on the spot. Mostly due to blur and camera shake.

I love that name too. ::yes::

Juvenile humor -- yes!

Ok, now I'm jealous along with Judy.

A veeeery fortunate business trip. I even went to a concert in the Opera House, thinking (rightly) "when else will I get this chance?".

Never tell me the odds!

+1 :thumbsup2

Hey, you always need a reason to return. (And it's not usually too hard to find one.)

Star Wars - The Original

You're on the right trail.

Great Nemo pictures - I think that's my favorite Disney attractions.

Thanks! I can't really put my finger on a favorite....I just like the whole thing!

That says it all.

Wow! Outstanding pictures in Nemo! This show has really grown on me. I like it more each time I see it.

Thank you!

Empire Strikes Back. :thumbsup2

Yep. Don't worry Marv, I know how it feels when you're on the trail of a quote and somebody comes in and swipes it out from under you. :sad2:

I tried very hard to find a Judy, but I found one Judy quote!! I hope this counts for something! ;)

Good job finding the Judy quote! :thumbsup2

Thanks. (I'll address the show-thing below, after all this banter between jenbear and yourself.)

Wow! Fabulous pictures of Nemo: The Musical. Thank you! Now I'll never have to see it again! :rotfl:

Thank you. (I don't think you were going to see it again anyway!)

I know that's terrible. But you know that I didn't enjoy it. It's much better in pictures by Glenn, IMO :thumbsup2

Jen, I am so glad to meet someone else who doesn't really care for it!!

Hurray! *high five* Well, I know everyone has their own opinion. It's a cute show - just not for me.

Okay you two. In a way, I'm kind of with you -- I'd rather be doing rides and stuff than watching a show. But, it was a really nice break after doing EE and walking through Africa and Asia and doing 2 trails. And the show itself was pretty good. Air conditioned, boiled-down to 35 minutes, it worked for me. But yes, I don't need to see it again next trip.

Great pictures! I don't think pictures can spoil us for the show cause it's a musical. I mean, we all already know how the story goes.

Oh, I guess you couldn't hear the music I was humming as I wrote that chapter.

Except for those shellfish....did they do commentary?

I confess, I don't remember!

I didn't get to do this on my last trip, but it's on my list for the next. Andrew's not big on musicals, so I wonder if he'll be able to enjoy it.

Hmmm, probably not....but walk his legs off on some of the trails and he'll be happy for the break.

Nice pictures of Nemo. Your TR is making me realize that AK is the one park I absolutely want to have a solid plan for because we missed so much last time.

I'm a big fan of having a plan. I don't plan the whole day out, but I usually go with a couple of things that I intend to accomplish. Then I kind of strategize regarding fastpasses and rides as I go along.

I, too, am a big George Harrison fan.

I passed an Apple store the other day and noticed that they have life-sized Beatle cutouts in the window, because they're on iTunes now. I'd love to have those cutouts. They'd look great next to my "stand up Joe" (a life-sized cardboard Joe Paterno (PSU football coach)).

As for the shellfish, are they the lobsters from near the end of the movie? My husband and I (born and bred New Englanders) always laugh during that scene at their spot-on Boston accents and use of the phrase "wicked awesome." Don't know what purpose they serve in the musical as I've yet to see it.

That's what they must be. For some reason, I don't remember them. :confused3

NEMO!! You took some really great pictures, glennbo! I can just hear them singing now.."It's a Biggggggggg Blueeeeeeeeeeee Worrrrrrrrld!"

Yep. Don't worry Marv, I know how it feels when you're on the trail of a quote and somebody comes in and swipes it out from under you. :sad2:

I just remembered that I never went back and pointed out your Seinfeld quote. It took some research, but I did find it.

NEMO!! You took some really great pictures, glennbo! I can just hear them singing now.."It's a Biggggggggg Blueeeeeeeeeeee Worrrrrrrrld!"

Thanks Tink! Is that what they sang? I was concentrating on pictures too much.

I just remembered that I never went back and pointed out your Seinfeld quote. It took some research, but I did find it.

And it was.....? (I believe you, but the verification committee needs proof.)

And it was.....? (I believe you, but the verification committee needs proof.)

(flipping through yellowing pages in an old manila folder)

Ah, here it is. I humbly submit this for the approval of the committee.

They are loathsome, offensive brutes, yet I can’t look away.

Seinfeld, referring to a painting of Kramer.

Great pictures !!!!! That lens is really paying for itself now isn't it? :)

The Lobsters are at the end. After Nemo gets" flushed" and Marlin thinks Nemo is gone forever.
They are the ones going "hey" "Hey" "Heeeeyyyyy" and pinching along with the wicked Boston accent.

I concur witht he no Judy's.:upsidedow
