Day 6 - Part 3
My trip notes for the time covered in this chapter literally consists of two generic sentences, “got a fastpass” and “went on Maharajah”. So, for you dear reader, that means that it's quite possible that nothing very interesting happened, other than what was documented in the pictures. But, it was still an enjoyable time for us, wandering around Animal Kingdom.
We reached “the end” of the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail, at the rear of the park, behind the safari, where Africa bottoms-out, near the dairy-area (okay, I’ve never heard of that either, but work with me), and as much as I’d like to say more, I’d better butt out. I don’t want to cause a rumpus.
Before leaving Africa, we picked up some fastpasses for the safari.
Not too bad – it was 10:42 and I was able to get fastpasses for 11:27.
I took a picture of this building (or pair of buildings) because I like how it shows how Disney tries to incorporate the different types of structures and building materials you might see in Africa, such as the small dark-colored stone building on the left and the stucco-covered stone building on the right. I think they’re trying to show how eclectic Africa is.
Or maybe not. That’s just my theory…what do I know?
Then, as promised in the last chapter, I took a picture of the other side of the “Good Eats” building, the home of Tamu Tamu Refreshments.
Any building with grass growing on the roof is pretty cool in my book.

(Unless it's my house, in which case it would probably indicate a lack of maintenance.)
Judy wanted to do the Maharajah Jungle Trek next. On the trail to Asia, we passed a photopass photographer and stopped for a few pictures.
Then the photographer asked James and Lauren to pose for this “magic shot”.
We weren’t really sure why she didn’t have Marlene join in, and we said something like, “Yoo hoo,

we have another kid here.” So then she brought Marlene in for this one.
As we approached Asia we saw another photopass photographer who wasn’t busy, near the Everest shrine, so stopped again.
In this next one, my expression looks like I am being subjected to mind control. "Must....eliminate....the....ambassador.”
The famous “growl like a yeti” pose. When putting this chapter together, I kept looking at these two pictures, thinking they're duplicates. But my expression is different, while everything else looks exactly the same.
