Hey Glenn!
Finally got current again. Loved the Idol stories. And your CR photos totally rocked dude! TL looks like a great way to spend a day.
Looking forward to more.
Yo GB! Glad you've enjoyed it and thanks for letting me know.
By the way, since I just saw your Blog link in your signature it reminded me to check it out. I really liked your refillable mug analogy!
We've done both BB and TL and other than Summit Plummit at BB the girls like TL better. Me I can do either 'cause I only "do" the lazy river.
Good info. Summit Plummit is like Humunga Kowabunga, but even a little bit bigger, correct?
I would agree with that

Selfish me, just thinking about me!
I won't hold it against you...I know you do
plenty of thinking about others!
I would worry about the kids who haven't snorkeled though freaking out about the cold, snorkling is a bit weird until you get used to it.
You're exactly right. In addition to the cold, just breathing through the snorkel is weird.
I'm falling behind a bit, again. Oh well! Between planning my upcoming trip (Disney keeps changing the hours and shows), family and work it's getting harder to check in when I want.
That's okay Tom, no worries. I was going to apologize for not looking in on your PTR for a while, but I just looked and it's at about the same point as I last saw.
So that's what it was that burned! I didn't feel much of it since I pre-soaked before heading over to the entry point. The kids had to take thier masks off early on due to that burning. I just thought it was a high concentration of saltwater. Now I know!
If I had put it on just before getting into the water I might have thought it was from the saltwater too, but we hadn't even made it in yet.
Yeah. It's everything you can do to settle certain parts of you're anatomy into that water, especially if you are a southern boy like me.
You don't have to tell me! (No, seriously...please don't tell me.

)
Awww. I found it to be quite interesting but I took my time to get across. (3 mins).
That sounds kind of quick too.
James sounds a lot like Kyler when he was younger. He was nervous about everything but once you cajolled him out he has a great time.
Exactly. But what gets me is that you think you've got them being a little more adventurous and the next year they're back to square 1!
Did they run the 6 ft wave every few minutes or continuous 4 ft?
A big wave every few minutes, and some gentle ones in between.
Yeah, I tried the same thing. In the deeper water they are meant for boogie boards or surfers. I was lucky when we first arrived and caught a few as they broke before it got too crowded around the 5 ft deep area.
Good job. Hang ten dude.
We had kept most of our stuff around the lounges. Checking around the boards we had read no reports of missing stuff, not that I would leave a wallet or actual keys laying around that is.
It's not worth the risk.
I still think she had an ulterior motive. What that could be I have no idea.
She was obviously smitten, poor girl.
That's why I like to wear thick and long trunks when I go to waterparks. They dry slow but keep the rear powerwashing down to a minimum.
I might have to go that route.
Our Hurricane Falls in Dallas has ramps to take the tubes back up. TL is an aging park so maybe that would be an obvious rehab in the future.
You're probably right....it probably wasn't the norm when they built it.
There is also a path that starts near the Typhoon Tilly's and follows the lazy river to the same spot.
I think we walked on that some. It doesn't go off to the Crush 'n' Gusher, right? Just around to the front of the park?
I'll have to check all that out next time. Looks really cool!
I highly recommend it.
Now that is a great shot! Those waves hit with some force behind them, right?
Thank you. They sure do...durn tootin'!
Pretty much our opinion. Everything tastes good when your body has worked off hundreds of calories swimming.
Yep, it doesn't draw people to the park, but it's okay.
I thought it was pretty cloudy from looking at your pictures. Still, you seemed to have covered most of the park today!
The picture of the Tropical Amity sign and the Crush 'n' Gusher were taken after the lightning closed all the rides, so they may be darker. The skies look a little dark in the Photopass pic too, but everything was still open then.
Yeah, I think we at least tried most everything, but would have liked a few more rides.
Probably near a drain at the bottom of a slide no doubt.

Yes, no doubt!
Looking forward to this! I've been in a few parks around Dallas that were reserved for corporate sponsors but never anything like Disney.
Hopefully, it'll be good.
Sounds like a fun day at TL! Your snorkel experience was kind of like ours, except at least you did it! My nephew, 8 REALLY wanted to snorkel badly, and he was REALLY intrigued by the sharks! We like BB better, but chose TL for him. So we waited in line for almost an hour, and he just couldn't get in the water! DSIS and I made it up to the ledge, and they were rushing us in without giving us a chance to get our bearings - we started out, and it was so cold that I was just Done! So we turned around and hopped back out - we got yelled at because that was bad protocol!

Later, DN and DH made a 2nd try, but he just couldn't bring himself to get in. Poor guy, he was so disappointed in himself.
Aw, poor kid. It's not as easy as it looks, especially for a youngster who's never done it before. (And glad I'm not the only one who thinks that water's pretty cold!)
Good Morning All !!!Glen I got it right too!!But Marv was first!!!!
Thanks for letting him win Rosie. (You know how he gets when he loses.)
nice update glenn,
thats why you are suppose to get the photopass card from them with the little rubberband thingy on it to not lose it.
Thank you sir.
It was my park photopass card from previous days. I guess I shouldn't have taken it with me and just let them give me a new card.
never eatin at that one before always go to leaning palms on the other side of the park, seems they have more options there.
I knew Leaning Palms was there somewhere, but didn't see it until I went on the lazy river.
