I know that I ended my last chapter saying that I see red people would be next, but since I havent written that chapter yet, and because I have some other items to talk about, I thought Id save that for next time and post about some other stuff.
First Topic. I finally got around to taking a picture of the Minnie charm that I bought for Judy at the World of Disney store at the end of our first day. (Its the one on the right.)
I think it is the same one as what I posted a link to back when we talking about it earlier in the TR, but that link doesnt work anymore.
The one on the left is a giraffe I bought for her for Christmas or her birthday or our anniversary or who-knows-when (hey, gimme a break, at least I showed up on the right day with a gift even if I cant remember what the occasion was now). Its to symbolize our DVC home of Animal Kingdom.
Second topic. I had wanted to wait to give my overall assessment of Coronado Springs until it fit into the trip report, but who knows when that will be. So, I think its time to put my stake in the ground.
Pros and Cons. Im sure there are more, but these came quickly to mind.
Pros
Picturesque
Good system for paying at the Pepper Market (I know many dont agree with this!)
Nice rooms (big beds; I like the colors, fabrics, and wood)
Knowledgeable and friendly cast members
Sidewalks allow for jogging
Cons
Very spread out; long walks to feature pool and El Centro
Feature pool not as fun as other moderate resort pools
Several bus stops means you spend a long time driving around the resort
Pepper Market is pricey
At one point during the week, Judy and I talked and we both agreed that overall, we like Port Orleans Riverside better. The fun pool and everything being closer at POR were the biggest factors. The kids agreed too. Now, dont get me wrong. Id be happy to stay there if I was attending a conference. Its a lovely resort with lots to offer. But if Im spending my own money and picking among the Moderates, Id prefer Port Orleans Riverside. Im Sorry, CSR lovers. Its not that I dont like it, its just more of a preference thing. And if they put the CSR rooms at POR? Fuggedaboutit!
Well, thats about it Disney-wise. How about I leave you with some fishy (and other wildlife) pictures from our day-trip to the Baltimore Aquarium last week?
