The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

Probably more necessary she has all the right papers if she wants to go home.....

After she meets us, she won't want to go home.

Nope. I'm referring to how it was still standing after a night of rather heavy British bombardment.....

Okay, I've probably heard it, but not sure what you're looking for.

One for you: our National Anthem, the Star Spangled Banner, is sung to what old English drinking song? (without looking it up.)

Is witness tampering a crime in all continents ?????:lmao:

Ya'll heard that he's gonna slap me !!!:rotfl2:

DEPENDS on the day!!!!!:lmao:

Wow that;s why I'm confused I thought it was dementia but NO I am in 2 continents !!! The whizzing around did it !!!:lmao:

Sure like ya can bring a horse to water ......Bring Rosie to a pole and ya don't make her dance !!!:rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Did ya find any dust balls !!!!:rotfl2:

Too many here to comment on....I'll just put one :rotfl2:

(And I never said which granny.)

Okay nuff funny stuff !!Glen those Aquarium pix are amazing !!I loved them !!! Now going back to get caught up completely!!

Thanks Rosie! I'm glad you liked them.

Yes, and a bunch of paper clips too since it was on my desk that I was rolling on the floor at. :rotfl2:

Are those the things that look like the button you click to attach stuff to an e-mail?

That's pretty good Jen, for a foreigner... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Why thank you ;)

Actually, I'm quite proud of you, even if you did read about it earlier today. When my oldest DS was in 5th grade I was a chaperone on his class trip to Washington, DC. We did a (part)day trip to Baltimore. I asked the teachers why they didn't schedule Ft. McHenry into the itinerary and one of them looked at me and said....What's Fort McHenry? :scared1: I was flabbergasted that she wouldn't know the answer to that, but then I do know where she went to college so I wasn't really surprised.......:rolleyes1

Dude, how can a teacher never heard of Fort McHenry?! Especially if they are from the area. A wag of my finger goes to the school she went to!

So can you tell me how/why the flag was still standing so Francis Scott Key could still see it and be inspired to pen his famous lines???

Sadly I'm not that good! I'd have to flip through some history books first!

Good job jenbear! We'll let you into the country. As long as you have all the proper papers.

How nice of you! So glad I passed the test. Should I tell the Homeland Security officer that there's no need to check my passport since I already passed the history test?

Are you referring to the fact that the flag was pretty darned huge?

Your guess is as good as mine.

Probably more necessary she has all the right papers if she wants to go home.....

I feel like a criminal every time I go through customs. It's terrible! But yes, being stuck in the states would not be on my priority list at the moment... unless it was in Disney :goodvibes

Nope. I'm referring to how it was still standing after a night of rather heavy British bombardment.....[/QUOTE]

After she meets us, she won't want to go home.

If that's the case... maybe I will want to be stuck there :rolleyes1

Okay, I've probably heard it, but not sure what you're looking for.
You probably can't look the answer up to this, although I haven't tried. The answer is too "politically correct" to find in history books anymore. They water such things down these days.:sad2:

I used to know this, but it has been a long time since I heard it. It had something to do with Heaven, and a strange name or word I can't remember, but I don't think I could spell it if I did. :confused3

You get to go to the bonus round. So very proud of you, Glenn. ;)

:yay:

Agree. Shameful.

Yeah, see if that works.

I feel like a criminal every time I go through customs. It's terrible!

If they ask you if you have anything to declare, shout: "Yes, I'm proud to be Canadian!"

You probably can't look the answer up to this, although I haven't tried. The answer is too "politically correct" to find in history books anymore. They water such things down these days.:sad2:

That didn't help me out much. Still don't know.

Very good! You're on the right track. To Anacreon in Heaven.

This one made me laugh. I thought fish lips :rotfl:

I agree about CSR. The rooms are probably the best part...oh, and the sunrises. It's such a picture perfect resort for that.

I don't think I caught a sunrise. The rooms were very nice.

In June Sunrises are hard to come by. In December they are a bit easier.

My favorite CSR sunrise pictures.

Sorry, I just realized that I missed replying to these.

Wonderful pictures!

Thanks Magdalene. I'm looking forward to the pictures you took today.

Great CSR review, glennbo! I'll be staying there for a night in October before moving over to the Poly...I really liked POR, but I figured I should try someplace new. And I was hungry when I booked it, and I liked the sound of Pepper Market, so there ya go. I haven't put in my room requests yet -- any advice there?

Not sure if it'll make much difference for one night, but I'd request the Cabanas section. That way you're between the main pool and El Centro, and would only have a short walk to either.

That fish was my kids' favorite. They got a good laugh from it. It's called a cowfish.

Ahh, that makes sense.

My favorite CSR sunrise pictures.

Beautiful pictures Poolrat. I'll have some pictures of the resort coming when I get to day 4 of the TR.

Wowsa - Those are some fabulous pictures from the aquarium. NICE!

I love the Minnie charm. I have a fake Pandora and I found a Mickey Ears charm, but I would love to collect more. However, since it is a FAKE pandora I am not willing to spend much $ on my charms, but that is so darn cute!

Thanks for posting your opinion of CSR. When I stayed there last year (after Kidani), I expected to really like it better than all the other mods, but I didn't. I kept thinking it was because I stayed there AFTER Kidani (which was not a smart move). But I have to agree with you. There is some really special about POR. I stayed there on my first on site trip and I think it will always be my favorite for that reason. I am also a little partial to POFQ for the night before a DVC trip because its so compact and easy to get around.

Poolrat -

I'm too lazy to copy them now, but those are some GORGEOUS pictures of CSR. Its definitely a photogenic resort!

That fish was my kids' favorite. They got a good laugh from it. It's called a cowfish.

cow lips, fish lips ....:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I have no idea why I find that funny, i just do.

Ahh, that makes sense.
Yes, the short days have its advantages, like seeing a great sunrise.

Beautiful pictures Poolrat. I'll have some pictures of the resort coming when I get to day 4 of the TR.

Gracias Glennbo. The top two came from my friend's camera, the bottom one mine a few minutes later. Just to give where credit is due.:)

I love the aquarium pics. They are just beautiful.

Cute Minnie charm and giraffe.

Never stayed at CSR or any moderate for that matter. My kids always want to stay at POP but it does look like a lot of walking and don't know if I would like that at the end of the night especially towards the end of a trip.

Wonderful pictures!

Doh! You beat me to it! :rotfl:

GREAT pictures from the aquarium!!!!! Wow!! :thumbsup2

We really enjoyed our stay at CSR, we were in Casitas 5 and only walked to El Centro a couple of times so it worked well for us. That is the only moderate we have done though, so I have no comparison. We loved the scenery of the resort...I have so many pictures from that trip - everywhere I looked was beautiful!! It's always fun to try a new place to compare it to your favorite, and I love that Disney has so many options - enough "favorites" to spread around! I think my favorite resort to date is the Wilderness Lodge. Just something about it... AKL will always be special in my heart, but the WL squeeks in just above it.

I'm wondering if the BWV might take all though...I'll find out in two weeks!

Thanks for the overview of CSR Glennbo. Since I have already stayed at POR I think I would like to try CSR if we stay at a mod again, for a change of pace. With a family of five it may be a moot point anyway. I just don't see us being comfy in two doubles with five of us.

Still, the resort looks great and I love the pool theming. I'm following TinksThree's trip report where they ended up at the CSR and it would definantly be on my short list of resorts to stay at.

I love your aquarium pics-they turned out really good.
I'm still debating where to stay in March-CSR and Pop are on the list. But the more I think about it POFQ comes to mind! I'll be booking in the next few weeks so I need to decide! :rotfl2:

Thanks Mary Ellen.

Her bracelet is Pandora, but the Minnie charm is fake Pandora...or at least it's some other brand that kind of fits. I guess Disney hasn't licensed rights to Pandora or something.

I think your first stay is a big factor and I almost put that in my assessment (but got lazy and just wanted to post it already). Every other resort has a big uphill battle to live up to the place where you first discovered the magic. Our first on-site stay was actually Animal Kingdom Lodge (before it was known as Jambo House), but POR was our first mod.

cow lips, fish lips ....:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I have no idea why I find that funny, i just do.

That is one funny-looking fish. It'd make a great plush toy.

Gracias Glennbo. The top two came from my friend's camera, the bottom one mine a few minutes later. Just to give where credit is due.:)

Noted. Well, you both did a fine job!

Here is the best version I could find quickly.

Very interesting.

I love the aquarium pics. They are just beautiful.

Cute Minnie charm and giraffe.

Thanks dd50!

People do love POP. It actually isn't that bad at the end of the night because the bus stops are located around the perimeter, so you can just get off at the closest one. It would only be bad if you needed to go to the lobby or the main pool after returning from the parks.

GREAT pictures from the aquarium!!!!! Wow!! :thumbsup2

Thanks Brook!

No question, CSR is beautiful and very photogenic with the lake and nice buildings and lots of quaint areas with fountains and such.

That's a good thing, that your favorites are neck and neck. Lots to love. I'll be interested to hear how you like the Boardwalk.

I'm glad that my personal preference hasn't made you reconsider. I think you should try it, it's a very nice resort. I wasn't trying to knock it.

I love your aquarium pics-they turned out really good.

Thank you!

Picking a resort is such a hard decision! I guess that's one reason why these message boards are so popular.
