The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

Alrighty. . . I am jumping in the deep end and am going to try to keep up with your popular TR! I am trying to join the TR's of some of Liesa's devotees since everyone is so interesting and fun and my first priorities are those I may be meeting next month. Plus you are from PA, like Penn State and love WDW so you must be practically perfect in every way. (we saw Mary Poppins on broadway a few months ago and that song just creeps into my thoughts - ignore me LOL!) Anyhoo. . .I've only read the chapters so far but will strive to keep up with the chatter going forward too. Glad the headache cleared up, the cc thing was not an issue and am looking forward to hearing about Yeehaw Bob.

:welcome: jenb!! I'm going to call you jenb to distinguish you from jenbear. I'm glad to have you join in and looking forward to meeting you at Liesa's great big DC meet!

I just posted the Yeehaa Bob installment while you were posting yours....go back to the bottom of the previous page.

Nice update. Looks like every one had a lot of fun at the show. I may have to look and see if he is having a show when I am there.

We've had Dogfish Head, it's pretty tasty stuff. And no offense Dan but A Bud Light Lime would taste pretty nasty after a Dogfish. On the flip side I bet Dan wouldn't like the Dogfish Head.

What a fun fun DISmeet! I love Dan and Candi's matching outfits and you all look like you had a blast! Great pictures. Even the blurry ones. It makes me feel better about my point and shoot when other people's come out blurry too!

:rotfl:

Ok, I am not going to post all the pictures I could spot Judy in, there were quite a lot (and even some where she was a bit hidden or even "chopped" off...) - I'll let someone else get the points... ;)

Great update! It sounds like you had a lot of fun. I think I need to see that show one day. :thumbsup2 I love Dan's and Candi's matching outfits, both look great in these pictures. And now we know what all that beer talk is about. ;) I have no idea what a Dogfish Head nor a Bud Lime Lite are, so I can't really take sides in that discussion.

It looks like Yeehaa Bob's show is as lively as ever! :goodvibes You can tell it's pretty close quarters in the River Roost and the closer you are to Bob the more people are going to be around your table!

My DS8 couldn't be pried out of the Lego Store with a crowbar. I had to promise him that there was going to be a ton of Star Wars stuff at DHS the next day.

I never heard of YeeHaw Bob show. I think when we stayed at POR we heard him but didn't know what was going on. I'll have to look him up the next time we go. Where do you find his schedule? I'm assuming on his website.

I'm reading Dan's TR too but he's not at his DIS meet yet - they look so cute with their outfits - My DH would NEVER do that.

They have charms down there! Oh that could be dangerous for me in December.

I have yet to see Yeehaa Bob...I need to put it on my list!

Yes you do! I'd say that it's the best free show (excluding the drinks -- since you're sitting in a lounge, you should at least buy drinks) at Disney, but that'd be selling him short.

Nice update. Looks like every one had a lot of fun at the show. I may have to look and see if he is having a show when I am there.

We did have fun. Here's his website --> Link to Bob Jackson's website

His calendar is under the link called "Update and Schedule".

Mr. Arb would shake his head at you for calling it Dogfish beer, haha. It's Dogfish Head! :drinking1

They have one of their breweries just outside of Ocean City, MD, so he's been there several times for their brew tour, and is a big fan. The owner of the company actually has television series that will be broadcast soon on the Discovery Channel: http://beernews.org/2010/06/breakin...-in-new-beer-centered-discovery-channel-show/

Yikes! You caught me! What a faux pas! Is it bad enough that I should go back and edit?

I did like it though. :drinking1

Yes, I discovered a culinary combo that you don't want. :sad2:

We had a great time. I think my pictures got better as I had more beer (or was it that I was remembering how to use camera settings that I hadn't used since last year?).

Great Update Glen !!! Are you gonna meet Lucy and Ethel at DC next month??????

Yep! ::yes::

Ok, I am not going to post all the pictures I could spot Judy in, there were quite a lot (and even some where she was a bit hidden or even "chopped" off...) - I'll let someone else get the points... ;)

Good job! When other people chime in later, we'll know who the real winner is. ;)

Since you're from Germany, I imagine you'd prefer the Dogfish Head, but I could be wrong.

Great update! Looks like the show is a lot of fun.

Thanks. It is, we had a great time.

Yeah, with there being 7 of us we couldn't get a really close spot, but it's a small room so we weren't too far away. Our seats last year, at the bar, were really great for watching Bob.

My DS8 couldn't be pried out of the Lego Store with a crowbar. I had to promise him that there was going to be a ton of Star Wars stuff at DHS the next day.

Oh I know what you mean! It's such a hard decision for them. Love the emoticon you used. :thumbsup2

I posted it in a previous reply, but here it is again for good measure. The schedule is under "Update and Schedule".

I probably wouldn't be inclined to do that either, but their outfits were really nice. They looked like something you'd wear, even separately, not just something you wore because they matched. (This is supposed to be a compliment, I'm not sure if it's coming out that way. I really liked them!) Plus, they had just been to the luau, so they were perfect.

They have charms down there! Oh that could be dangerous for me in December.

They aren't official Pandora charms. I guess Disney hasn't licensed them to Pandora. So, they don't screw on like Pandora charms...they can kind of slide around. But Judy just put it next to a "locking" one, if that makes sense.

We had to ask at the jewelry counter for them, otherwise you might have trouble finding them.

Thanks for the link. I must have missed that in our other post, sometimes I just skim the replies ;)

We have a jeweler around here that sells beads (not pandora) and they have Disney ones as well. I wonder if they are the same ones? I'll have to look in Dec when we go, thanks

Thanks for the welcome! I love reading about DISmeets and it looks like you guys had a great time! The YeeHaa Bob show looks like a lot of fun for adults and kids - we will have to try it some time.

Yeah a Meet!!!!:banana::banana::banana:

Oh no...it was in a previous reply in the same post -- you couldn't have seen it yet! :goodvibes

Yes, you may be able to get them cheaper!

You're welcome for the welcome! I definitely recommend Bob's show -- fun for all ages.

What a fun night! Looks like everyone had a blast and you also got to meet another Diser. This was a great way to start your vacation off.

Jumping in late here, but I am caught up and look forward to hearing more! Bob's show looks like a ton of fun. I may have to see if we have room in the scedule to catch him!

Since Magdelene invoked the little known "global" Judy-do sighting rule to collect all the points in this round, I will refrain from any further comments about her underhanded manipulation of the rules and just say :worship:. I do, however, see a need for an emergency meeting of the rules committee to discuss an addendum for time zone adjustment.

Then Dan and Candi arrived. They told us that they had had gotten on the Port Orleans French Quarter bus, and although they asked various people (the bus driver?), no one had ever heard of Yeehaa Bob or knew where his show was held. When they figured out it was at Riverside, the bus driver brought Dan and Candi over from French Quarter, even though it was outside of his normal route.
Nice coup on the private bus ride Dan, but somehow I think you might have had a hard time snagging that one without Candi along! I'm just sayin'!

We solved our focusing problem by putting something in the center to help the camera focus -- Candi! It’s a much better picture with her in it, I’m sure you’ll agree.
Well, duh! :rolleyes1
All the kids were asked to come to the front for a rousing rendition of “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes”.

IMG_2536.jpg
Looks like someone is missing. I guess somebody is getting too grown up to participate with the younger crowd! :cool2:

Kudos to James on the great shirt.:thumbsup2 I have one just like that.......well, except a little bigger! ;)

Here you can see our table enjoying the festivities.

IMG_2539.jpg
Okay, I didn't do this before but due to some people trying to garner points by posting pictures and then claiming a Judy-do sighting, and in honor of Magdelene's well played use of the "global" sighting rule, I take this opportunity to claim all of the Candi-do points for this round of the competition!

Dan and Candi were recognized by Bob for celebrating their anniversary. We loved their matching outfits.

IMG_2541.jpg
Congrats on the Anniversary Dan and Candi! Those are definitely a great choice of matching Hawaiian outfits! DW and I did the matching shirt/muumuu years (and years) ago in Hawaii. Looks like we need to go to the Luau and see about getting some new ones that match. :cool1:

Then he called all of the ladies and girls up to do the Can Can.
IMG_2547.jpg
I see Judy is trying to do her best YeeHaa Bob imitation (showing some leg!). :rotfl: Good to see Lauren jumped back into the fun! :dance3:

Then he called all the men up. I’m not sure how Dan ended up staying behind. I think he may have called us by state and left out Indiana.

I’m on the stage, so I’m the tallest sucker, er participant.
You were right the first time.:rotfl2: Since when did you start questioning yourself???

Our pointing was not in synch.
IMG_2558.jpg
A product of one too many Dogfish I would guess. :drinking1
We had a great time meeting Dan and Candi. The Yeehaa Bob show isn’t the best place to hold a conversation, but we did get to talk a little before the show started and a little bit at other times. They’re a really nice couple…as they say in the south, “they’re good people”!
You certainly have a habit of meeting good people when you go to WDW! :rolleyes1 Of course, I will say that it is easier to do that when you ARE "good people!" :goodvibes

Up next: A hungover Mr. Potatohead
Hmmm, Mr. Potatohead......I like the sound of that!!! Hopefully Mr. Potatohead and his family will finally make it to a park...... :rotfl:
