The Moist Exhausting Free Trip Ever - Link to Part II Thread pg. 244

But now I know why I have always lost women to guys like you. I mean, it's not just the uniform. It's the stories that you tell. So much fun and imagination.

Lee Harvey, you are a madman.

Don't go out of your way. But Chuck Norris would've had the project done by now, that's for sure.

Chuck Norris doesn't do "projects". He simply wins.

Glen!!!! How's it going?! Just caught up on your last update. I've never seen Ranger Joe. Guess I've been out of the loop on that one. You didn't take pictures of the Hidden Mickey's?? You really want to keep them a secret huh? ;) Too bad about the buses. It's really hard when you're going resort to resort.

ohh well here you go glenn.

this is what the one looked like last time around

Looks like it was a good time!

Lee Harvey, you are a madman.

:thumbsup2 Good job! I was hoping you'd get that.

You're right again, Captain.

Jenn!

It's going great! Well sometime, during one of your many trips to the World, you need to have Ranger Joe show you around the WL. No, I'm hanging my head in shame that I didn't take any pictures of the hidden Mickey's. I really dropped the ball. :sad2:

Great update. I want to go visit that lodge. Wanted to in the summer but some how the time got away. Maybe in the winter at Christmas time. I had a bus ride like that in the summer. We were coming from the Boardwalk to DTD and by the time we got there my two grandchildren were sleeping so he just go in the line going back to our resort.

I  Ranger Joe. Seriously. He makes the Lodge.

I was reading your bus plan and going OH NO! Sadly, not surprised it took that long. WL to AK, AK to AKL would have been mildly better but still probably an hour.

WL is great for the MK but SO SO SO far away from the rest of the World....especially DTD and AK.

It seems like you have to schedule an ADR or activity at some of these places that you want to see, just to force yourself to get there. I understand that the Christmas decorations at WL are really great, so you'll have to make sure you find your way over there.

Sounds like it was a long bus ride and the activities of the trip were catching up with your grandchildren. You can't fight it sometimes.

I wonder if he knows he's got groupies?

Just like when I was reading your TR and your plan to get fastpasses.

My original plan to take the boat would have been okay, but you know about those Florida afternoon thunderstorms.

Yes, it seems like it.

They don't count over here Marv. Only on his thread. By the way, my comment he was quoting was also from Stripes. Thank goodness he picked up on it, or it would have sounded kind of strange.

I have to admit: I had to "research" that one.

Yep, I knew that, but didn't figure I needed to comment/quote both of them.

I can't remember where I posted our attempt to catch a boat ride and one of those storms came up and the boat dock is not where you want to be :scared1: but we did see a boat arrive. Not sure if they just got caught in the storm but I couldn't get the Gilligan's Island theme song out of my head.

That's a fact, Jack!

More stripes.

I skipped the banter, but I did see some meat rating going on earlier. :lmao:

What a VERY fun way (minus the bus ride ordeal) to wrap up your time at WL! First a yummy meal, then a guided tour around the lobby. We never saw Ranger Joe while staying at the WL, but then again, I hadn't heard much about him at that time. I sure hope next time we stay we run into him, I'd love to hear all he has to share!

The "In the Bag" skit is one of my favorites. I remember my cousin and I singing it while picking up our toys when we were little. It's now one of Henry's favorites - he asks for it, "Bum, bum Mommy?" And I'm thinkin' I'm going to apply that song when cleaning up H's room with him since it's been a struggle lately. It worked for me and my cousin, it will probably work for him! :rolleyes1

Evening Glen !!I'm glad Marv is over here picking on everyone cuz that means he's not hi jacking my thread!!!!!:rotfl2:

I am still recovering form all my travels this month !!! I am not bouncing back as I normally do and am somewhat exhausted !!! I am mainly off tomorrow other than tieing up the finances from the Albany trip!!! Defisnstely will be some changes next year !! I am NOT dealing with hundreds of receipts for piddly little things next year !!!:scared1:

After several days of reading, I am up to date on your trip report. Coming out of lurkdom to let you know I've enjoyed reading. We're going back to the World next year, and your trip report gave us a couple ideas to think about, like Sci-Fi - looked like a lot of fun :thumbsup2

Good point -- as bad as our bus ride was, if we'd have gotten on a boat, it could have been much worse.

Once you get the Gilligan's Island theme song in your head, it's going to stay there for a while. Now I'm trying to keep you from "suggesting" it to me...la, la, la, la, la...

More stripes.

Exactly! Most of my movie references are pretty old. :rotfl2:

Strong opinions and no concensus there.

He's a hidden gem!

Me too. That's a great cartoon!

Henry is a riot! "Bum bum" :lmao: Hmm, I'm thinking that maybe we sang that song when trying to get my kids to clean up their toys when they were tykes. Although they had never seen the cartoon, because we didn't have it on tape.

Hang in there Rosie! You are one busy lady.

:welcome: KERdad06!!! Thanks for letting me know you've enjoyed reading along. Good job in getting caught up! Sounds like a cue that I need to be working on the next chapter.

Looks like your kids are of similar ages to mine. I predict you're going to have a great time at the World next year (but that's not really going out on a limb or anything).

This should come as no surprise.

Actually the concensus was we all like meat. Especially when it's covered in BBQ sauce. Hmmmmm.........BBQ Brisket....I think I know what I'm doing for lunch now...Fajitas.

Yes, that was the concensus! Mmmmmm. :)

Hey, I think when we were having the food discussion I mentioned that we have a new Mexican place that opened up near us. They got a little write-up in our local "Community Courier". link

The lady who opened it is pretty incredible. Whenever we've been there she's done everything from waitressing to cooking. I hope she can keep it up, or that business picks up enough that she can hire some help. The food is great.

Also, when I was watching the Penn State football game on Saturday, they did a piece on an Austrian restaurant in State College. I had no idea that it existed, but it looks great! I think we'll have to stop there on our way through over Christmastime.

Check out their website. If you scroll down, you will see a sign that says, "Achtung! We open at 11:45 am. All earlycomers will be beaten with a large, wooden stick!" You've gotta love that!

Glen I notice Marv hasn't mentioned a certain Canadian gal has her TR started and he and others have been posting like crazy so you are not on Page one !!! Don't tell 'em I told !!!!:lmao::lmao:
