The missing woman in California

Have you all heard about her? SHe is 8 mths preg. and missing since CHristmas Eve. This story has me so upset. From her photo, she really looks like such a nice person...I just pray they find her unharmed.

Being from California, it is all over the news here. Today they said, there was some new developments, but I haven't heard what they are. As usual, they are really looking at the husband. I guess they always do that, but they've searched his boat, his warehouse, and seized some computers from the house.

What I dont get about this is why would a guy leave his 8 1/2 month pregnant wife on Christmas Eve to go on a fishing trip (or hunting, or whatever it was)? A lot of women(myself included) have their babies at 8 1/2 months. Why would he be leaving her then? That right there makes me suspicious.

they were supposed to have dinner at her mom's that night and then SHE was hosting dinner the next day.

That woman and her family have been in my prayers. We're just about exactly the same amount pregnant. If her DH isn't involved, it has to be absolutely horrible for him. I've had to start begging DH to let me go to the grocery store or vacuum the floor lately because he's convinced that I'm about to fall apart.

I just heard about this last night. It is shocking and so sad.

My first thought is that someone desperate for a child kidnapped her and will wait until she has the baby and then take the baby and get rid of her. I sure hope this is not the case and I hope and pray for a good outcome.

If anyone has any updates, please post. Sometimes it takes a little while for news to make it to Italy.

Ah, that makes more sense. I only heard part of it on the news and from what I got from it, it sounded like he was going away on a trip.

I really don't get the feeling that the husband did anything wrong. He probably went fishing at her encouragement. (You know, "we're both so anxious, my Mom & Dad are right here in town, go fishing, dear, just be home by 4 PM" kind of thing.) He went fishing 2 hours away. They always look at the spouse first - they did when Julie Sund & her mother & friend were missing (the Yosemite tourists a few years ago). I will be very surprised if the husband had anything to do with her disappearance. Every local newscast starts with an update - which has been nothing. Somebody must want that 1/2 million dollar reward!
