The method for getting a PIN worked for me and many others!!! YMMV

I'm sure it sounds ignorant, but I have no idea what a 20/30/40 PIN is....anyone?
A PIN code that will give you 20% off a value resort, 30% off a mod, and 40% off deluxe. :) HTH

ETA: I just got done entering a very detailed itinerary for 6 days... we'll see how foolproof this is. I've done everything else... ordered maps, the video, saved, deleted, cleared cookies and resaved packages and nothing so far. My coworker, who's not going for 2 years has received 2 in the last 2 months. :headache:

Well, I've tried all of the tips many times and never received a pin. Today was the first time I tried making an itinerary with off-site lodgings though, so maybe I'll have some luck.

Keeping my fingers crossed.... (which makes it pretty hard to type :rotfl:)

Also have to save your itinerary...although it looked like I was logged in because it had "Welcome Vicki" (or whatever they use) at the top of the page, I had to login to actually save the itinerary. Sort of confusing.

Im late to pick up my kids, but just wanted to let everyone know that after a week, I got 3 pins (one each in 3 or 7 emails) today!

Wahoo!

To all of those who have commented on the title of my thread posting being erroneous... a few pages back I conceded the fact that I may have been overeager in declaring a 100% return... however, with all of the affirmations that have been posted where this method is working... it can't be denied that this may be the closest to foolproof that has ever surfaced for pin hunting...

P.S.

I am super excited about having started a thread with so many views and responses... I'm popular! lol :yay: :cool2:

:yay:Yay! Finally got the 20/30/40 pin :yay:
Yesterday I did the itinerary with "no accomodations", non disney resort. I also went in and did some editing on my profile. Just played around with it for a while! Got one today! It was in my junk mail which it usually isn't. I don't know why it went there, so make sure to check junk mail!

You are popular! I think its a great method. Alot of people have recieved pin, including me!;)

I haven't received a PIN yet, but I'm not giving up!:upsidedow
From people's reports, it can take 2, 3, 4, 5 days or more.......

After following the thread for several days, and admittingly trying the pin trick..I sit here thinking about whether this is appropriate or not. Should posters be correct, isnt this an attempt at HACKING the disney site? Minimally it is manipulating an offer that is computer generated, and in limited quantities.
I am wondering, if this is the trick, how Disney will respond knowing that disboarders have figured out how to manipulate the system. The result cant be pretty..:confused3
:sad2:

I think you might be overthinking it a bit.
Saving vacations or itinerarys on the Disney website is a far cry from hacking into the Disney system.
How is it *manipulating* an offer when no one has any idea how or if it works? :confused3 People are not doing anything they shouldn't be doing on the website. Not to mention there is absolutely NO proof that anything actually does work. I think you are giving us all way to much credit in saying that we have actually cracked the case of the mysterious Disney PIN system.
:)
I agree with the other poster who said, "well said."

No idea why this would happen. But as I said the other day, I tried this "trick" and got another pin. Here's the thing, I used my new email address. I tried the same trick with the email address we have always used to book WDW vacations (on line check in, dinner ressies and etc.)... and got nothing. :-/

*Just check my husbands... he just got a pin!

I used the pin I got to book an August trip. Wish I could give away the others :(

Congratulations to everyone that has received a pin with or without the "trick". Since our first trip about 13 years ago we've received one pin code but couldn't end up using due to the dates but would love the opportunity to get another one! We love Disney and with / without a code we will find a way to visit again soon (hopefully this September)! Good luck to everyone still waiting and hoping - myself included! :)

It worked for me as well! Last week I did the "trick" on 2 email accounts that I have already set up on the Disney site and got nothing. But I went ahead and used a work email I have, set up a profile, did the itinerary trick and got a PIN today:cool1::cool1: Good luck everyone!!

How long did it take to get the pin on the new email account? Just wondering if I should keep checking today or assume it will take 3-4 days.

You do know that you can change the Subject, don't you? It's under Edit/Advanced. Of course, you might not be so popular if you remove the hyperbole :rolleyes1.
