The Meanest Mother in the World--A L-B TR, 5/05 *DONE. p.65, with one last pic*

Just waiting for you to arrive!! :teeth: I am enjoying this TR...and subbing so I don't miss the ARRIVAL! whoooohooo :cheer2:

I can't wait to hear what happened when they see the castle. I know that is what really did it for my daughter.

Our first trip to the world was last fall and on our first night we went to Chef Mickey's. (we had not been to any park yet) We were on the bus when my DD6 saw the castle. "I see the castle" "I see the castle" She was so excited...she was laughing, repeating herself over and over and rather loudly she was bouncing up and down. Everyone on the bus was laughing at her and they all acted so happy for her. It was one of those moments that you want to freeze...to take a snapshot in your mind's eye and hold onto it forever. It was really a magical moment. As we departed from the bus I really think she was floating. :goodvibes :goodvibes

Furthermore, we missed them a lot while we were there, and had this achy heart, lumpy throat thing happening every time we saw families with kids our kids’ ages. Especially if the kids had Mickey bar from hair to toes, or were soaked from playing in the fountains, or staring wide-eyed at the Mouse himself. Because we could picture that being our kids, and we felt a little bit bad taking off on our own for the weekend.

OMG this just made me SOOOO sad! I have a Sept trip planned without the kids! It has been killing me to think that "Our Place" won't be our place...that I'll be enjoying every ounce of Disney without them! WAHHHH! Now I'M THE MEANEST MOMMY IN THE WOOOOORLLLDDD!!!! haha...
GREAT TR so far though--I'm going to continue! :)

OOHHH...Miss Michelle...You can do it!!!!

My biggest complaint about The Mouse is that they let all THOSE KIDS in there!!!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lovestruc

As the aircraft picks up speed down the runway, Piper is laughing, joyfully and loudly, in a way that can only be described as scream-laughing. Once we were in the air, that’s what she actually called it. “We were going so fast it was making me screeeeeeam laugh!” Little did we know at the time, that scream laughing is not just for four-year-olds. Some overpacking, bikini-wearing DISing adults do it too!

Hey, now that's a girl after my own heart! Gettin' your Laugh Scream on is the only way to go. ;)

I have to tell you that right now my tail should be in the bed. I, like everybody else, have a huge day planned tomorrow. But I couldn't sleep. I jumped on the computer thinking I might work on my trip report a little bit but I let my fingers do the walking and here I am DISing. When I should be sleeping. But I literally cannot stop reading your trip report. You are hilarious! I have sat here and read through all your installments in one sitting and I have just laughed my tail off the entire time!

I just wanna say thanks for taking the time to share your trip report with us. Believe me, I know how much time and effort it can take to put one of these suckers together, especially when you have little ones to keep up with. I think I speak for all of us when I say that this is one of the best written T/Rs on these boards right now.

Keep it up, Girl. A monorail birth's got nuthin' on you. :thumbsup2

LindaBabe ---- whoa. That's really high praise. Wobin is the TR empress, I :worship: Wobin! Thank you. That's very humbling.

MissMichelle --- Try it, you'll like it. There's SO much to enjoy at WDW, with and without kids. Without them, you get the chance to slow down and take it all in more (with kids you go slow but have to be paying attention to THEM to make sure they don't get trampled or lost!) My dream would be to go for a long weekend, just dh and I, each year AND do a week or two as a whole family each year. Big dreams.

Horsegirl -- Green goddess? I love the dressing, but not sure I get it? :confused3 Do you know something I don't? Oh, did you mean this?

Cos that's not really me. You knew that, right? Melissafant (that's what Piper calls her) and I do have a lot in common, though. What with the mean-ness. And the making people fall asleep for prolonged periods. :rotfl:

LaLaLaLaLadeeDah! --- I'm glad you found me! I'm honored to have both you and Horsegirl here --- I lovelovelove your reports.

Kim what a great report - brought back so many memories of experiencing travel and wdw with our three boys

Pick up flame-proof garments from the cleaners
Were you selected to participate in the new Lights, Motor Action Show??

Clean the house and change all the sheets. Because I have this thing where coming home from vacation, especially Disney, is sooo much worse when you come home to a pit. I'm fanatic about this - i HATE coming home to a dirty house.

He leaves all the crazy planning, replanning, DISing and whatnot to me. I just tell him what days to take off and where to show up. So the fact that he merely tolerates all the prep work is okay by me.
my dh does the same about all the planning, just tell him what week to book the boys tee time and when to get on the plane - and becuz of him i was able to choose to stay home for 12 years with my three ds who are now 20, 18 and ds number three who will be celebrating his 4th birthday in a roll at WDW, he turns 15 this May.

the expression instantly went to “Drat. Baby. Walk on … walk on …” hmm did you say SW last May??, this could have been us.... Sorry i've been in your shoes and get a small twinge of joy when I see another family going thru it... remember i also belong to the "Meanest Mother in the World" Club and on occasion the "Eviliest Person on the Face of the Planet!"

i second magicmama great idea - you really should I hope you get this published as a story!! Please send this wonderful story (when you finish) to Reader's Digest!!!

What a smart little boy, to know that WDW is in Orlando. My brother did this two years ago with his kids, the oldest got it when they went to the gate, the middle child when they landed and it took my son two days to convince his youngest that we were NOT in Orlando, NEW JERSEY (they've actually have vacationed in the past at the REAL Cape May-Beach Club and thats were dad told them they were going when they left the house).

Hope you had a nice holiday - cant wait to hear the rest of your TR

Kim-

We will all take great delight when you get this published in Reader's Digest! (thanks DeeDeeDis for supporting the idea!)

My son claims his love for Disney comes from his first visit to WDW - when I was pregnant with him! My youngest was a definate match to your youngest. Your TR brings back a lot of memories.

I know its a lot of work for you to write and finish your story with all of your little darlings around (I'm sure there's another story in there somewhere....) but your audience does appreciate your efforts!

Can't wait for the next episode!
And thanks!!

Kim, Kimmie, Kimmeypooh....You better high tail back here with an installment soon . What,... you get compared to delswife and now you feel like you can make us wait faw eva ? Don't make me send the Viking ship for ya !
