Time for a serious moment here. (By the way, mum's the word on the nickname thing-I don't want to get in trouble. Let's just say yes and leave it at that). I married well in many ways.
Tomorrow is mine and Buzz's 14th anniversary. It was a beautiful wedding. With many mishaps but still a great day all in all. Hard to believe it's been 14 years. Seems more like 34.
Anyway, I prefer to open gifts on the day they are supposed to be opened on and not a minute sooner. I like to be surprised. (This is total bull-if anyone gives me a present in advance, I'm ripping into it like Buzz into a bottle of scotch). I'll rewrap it if need be but usually I don't bother. So everyone knows not to give me anything ahead of time. Buzz came in tonight (a day early) with my gift. I knew I was going to open it as soon as he went to bed later-the suspense was killing me. He knew. He made me open it while I protested and said over and over that I really could wait til tomorrow. He insisted I open it.

He knows me.
Inside, was a beautiful diamond necklace!! Oh my gosh-I was so surprised. He always gets me something really nice and then I get him something stupid. This year, I got him a Simpsons DVD and silk tie and hanky that I thought resembled Denny Crane's from Boston Legal. I wanted to get him purple like Denny had on, but the store only had red, which I thought was nice too.
This necklace is incredible. While I opened it, he had Christmas music playing and our best bottle of wine opened. It was great. The only bad thing was I was a total Shleprock. I didn't wash my hair today or my face b/c it's so dry here, if I touch my skin, it looks like it's snowing in the house. So I'm all greasy and gross. My clothes are the absolute worst I own- a 12 year old
t-shirt and fleece penguin pants. And here comes this beautiful diamond necklace.

I am planning on wearing it to Buzz's Christmas party this weekend. The necklace, not the t-shirt and penguin pants.
Someone asked earlier about his Christmas party and I forget who it was now (sorry! it was about 12 pages back). His company goes all out and everyone dresses up formal and we have a nice dinner, listen to his dad ramble on while he passes out gifts, then we dance or just go home. Usually someone ends up passing out under a table or doing something else stupid (we have tons of stories!!). But oddly enough, it's not Buzz doing something dumb. He stays in control while he's in front of his employees. And so do I. I wait til WDW once every year, then I throw down.
We'll take pictures if anyone is interested. I'm really excited for the party and even more excited to wear my nice new necklace!!! That Buzz is a softie after all.
The next time I get married I want it to be at Disney World. J/K Buzz. You're the only one for me!!
