Interesting perspective. Funny, many people think Clinton had a chance to get Bin Laden, BEFORE 9/11 happened, but didn't take it. He was probably too busy 'smoking' cigars and entertaining his interns.

Thank you - we've heard a lot about the medical team here. Likely because Wilford Hall is here. Seemed scary to me, given Cheney's health, that he has a medical team with him. However, it looks like SOP.

That's true he did, but we also had two embassies bombings and the USS Cole. Did Bubba go after those involved? Nope. He only cought the man responsible for the Trade Center bombing...only because the man was on our soil.

Is that really true - that most shootings are not investigated at all? I would have guessed otherwise, but confess I have no direct knowledge. I know that any time there is death involved, one cannot move the body until the ME rules it as natural. My DMIL pased away in our home overnight and my FIL was distraught that he could not move her until the ME arrived and confirmed that it was massive heart attack. And police were present. I have presumed that if someone is shot, even if it is not fatal, there would be some investigation. Could it really be that there is not? I also thought that if you report to the ER with a gunshot would that LE is called. No? Does someone know otherwise?

They'll investigate. It'll involve interviewing each of the parties present at the accident and getting their statements. I'd be shocked if any of the statements said anything other than it was an unfortunate accident.

Clinton was in office for 8 years and never even tried to get him. Bush wasn't barely in office for 8 MONTHS when it happened. I am sure Clinton was busy though. Dallying with his employees.

Bin Laden was offered to the US by Turkey, I think, on a couple of occasions and bubby turned them down.

Supposedly Texas Parks and Wildlife was notified pretty quickly and sent a Game Warden to investigate the accident immediatly. A report was filed and according to the report no alcohol was involved and it was reported as a true accident. These types of things happen every year in Texas and the Game Wardens are experienced in investigating such occurances. SmokingGun.com already has a copy of the report filed by the Game Warden on line as of yesterday. From that report and all other information available there is no reason for charges to be brought against Cheney. Its a sad occurance that unfortunatly happens from time to time during hunts. As far as this thing turning partisan all I can say is I wished the best for President Clinton when he had heart surgery and prayed for his recovery and will pray for the gentlemen who was shot by Mr Cheny. Partisan or not we are all Americans and I hope caring and feeling people whether we are spiritual or not and would never wish bad things upon people because I don't agree with their political views. If you do then I am very worried about you.

The Game Warden looked into that... go read it yourself. Those desperately hoping to see the VP do a "perp walk" will be sorely disappointed again.

Not sure on that yet. There is some doubt as to how long after the incident he was interviewed. One report says that evening, another the next day.

So when exactly, is the new guy supposed to start reading his memos and taking the least amount of resposiblity? 8 months and 12 days? 27 months and 3 days? Seeing that the term limit of the POTUS is only 4 years, you don't think that maybe, just maybe, he might want to start working on day one? Wow...you Republicans sure give a guy alot of time for on-the-job training!
