I'm really ticked to find out that some of you got crappy Lash Injection. I was wondering why some of you hated it. No mas Beauty Crunch.

Yes - such a strapping family! :cutie:

Just to clarify, I got my Lash Injection at Sephora, not BC. It was never hard to get off, just my cleanser and water would do it. I always liked it, but it was totally different than what you described.

I got some Stila mascara at Costco this weekend. It was a two-pack for 14.99. I like it, but it is different from Lash Injection. I think it makes my lashes look longer, but not thicker if you kwim.

MissPA - Cute family photo! :cutie:

Need a great wrinkle cream. One for day with SPF and a night cream as well.

Love the recommendations I get here. Now using Monistat chafing for primer and Morrocan Oil for hair (that stuff rocks).

Thanks!

You know - take it back for another.

My lash injection stays on like glue!! I'm sad for those of you who didn't get a good batch!

Another Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller fan here! I keep mine in the fridge & it's really refreshing in the morning. :goodvibes

I used it all and tossed it already. I'm trying Stila now. I still want to get that big sample pack at Sephora, maybe when my Stila runs out.

I finally went to Ulta today and begged for help picking out just the right shade of foundation. I forget what brand I ended up getting, but it looks great. I also got some Stila blush/lip gloss, Urban Decay eyeshadow primer and Too Face lash injection.

Now I need some good eye shadows! I have brown hair and hazel eyes, what are some shades (and brands) that would look good? Also, I have really noticeable dark circles under my eyes (I've had them since I was a kid, I think it's allergy related) and I need a good concealer for that.

Thanks in advance!

I also have brown hair and hazel eyes. For my every day makeup I normally just use neutral shades (browns) with brown eye liner. If I am going out or want a dresser more made up look I go with purples and dark blues. They really bring out the green in my hazel eyes. I'll sometimes do the nude shades on my lids and use a purple/blue color for my eye liner. Still pretty natural and neutral looking, but at the same time brings out the green.

Have you tried Eye Hope from Philosophy for the dark circles? I've always had a problem too, and also feel it is allergy related, but I've been using this and I don't need a lot of coverup most days. Makes it much easier to find something that works.

I wish that I kept up with thread more often as y'all have great info!

I just wanted to pop in and say that I LOVE Everyday Minerals. I got the samples a long time ago, found out about them on this thread, and have also tried Bare Escentuals and Pur Minerals. Everyday Minerals were much better, IMO.

About 3 weeks ago, I ordered a some full sized products plus some of their eye liner and got 3 eye shadows free. They were in my mailbox 2 days later and work great!

This is the first time I've used anything other than a cheap pencil eyeliner. It's powder. I wasn't sure how to use it but I just wet my eyeliner brush a little and dipped it into the powder and it worked great. Is that right? It looks a lot cleaner than my pencil liner. My only issue is that sometimes I guess I don't get it wet enough and I get black powder on my face that I have to wash off (which has taught me to try and remember to put liner on FIRST before base!).

I decided to try the MAC tinted moisturizer and ended up wearing with only a teeny bit of concealer yesterday for my sister's wedding and it worked great! I am pretty tan and have olive skin to begin so they went to medium dark instead of medium and it was just perfect! Hoping it works as well in two months in Disney.

I would go for some olive green shadows or khaki shadows. I have been away and have not kept track of Ulta's sales but when they have the bogo on the eye shadow I would get a couple of their own brand. DO not get the pallets because they are made in China BUT the single pans are made in US. I have found with the right primer these stay on as well as any shadow, the colors are true and I like using them despite the fact I have over a hundred shadows. BTW I like the Too Faced or the Urban Decay Shadow primer. I actually like Urban Decay better than Too Face but it is difficult to get all the product out of the container. If you re one of those people who can cut open the container and scrape the rest of the primer then DEFINATELY go for Urban Decay or if you are like me and would end up cutting a main artery tyring to cut open the package....go with the Too Faced either way do not use a shadow without a primer.

Thanks! I was thinking of trying green eye shadow. I ended up buying a Too Faced eye kit, the one that shows you how to do a natural look. I think I'm going to go with the Benefit concealer that is supposed to brighten the shadows on your face too, but I was short on cash today.

The one thing I cannot seem to do is use eye liner! I know I need it, but i have an extremely shaky hand and can't seem to make it look good.

Did you get this?

I've been looking at this, do you like it??? Eye liner takes practice. Somewhere during the course of this thread, I started trying liquid eyeliner. I found that if I rested my elbow on the dresser as I applied it, I did better.

Anyone get an ULTA coupon in their email? 20% off and it's good for Pur Minerals, Stivectin, Fusion Beauty (like CR's lip gloss), Amazing Cosmetics and Too Faced. I think I may have to do a little shopping on my lunch break. :rolleyes1

I want the Natural Eye kit shown above, one of those Lip Fusion lip glosses that Cathryn raves about, and possibly the Too Faced Candlelight powder.

I only messed with it a little tonight, but so far I love it! I've tried liquid eyeliner, but with my shaky hand, even resting it on something, I just make a mess. There is an eyeliner in this kit, and it seems like it's slightly easier for me to use.

I got the coupon, I used that today.

I say go with the Stila Gel liner and use an angled brush. Put it right up against your lash line and go slowly. When Ulta has the brush bogo get two of them for 14.00. I LOVE mine. You can check out Beauty Crunch they had a Stila Gel Liner set with three colors for 12.99. It is worth it. I do not know if they still have it I have tried to stay away from that site because I was addicted. LOL!

ETA: Yes Beauty Crunch still has the 3 colors of gel liner for 12.00 there are also a bunch of great deals on there for great prices. www.beautycrunch.com

I was at ULTA today on my lunch break, and I am in LOoooVE!!! Had to just jump on here and share.

I got a Lip Fusion lip gloss in Berry. Haven't tried yet. I can't wait to see what it does.

The Too Faced Natural Eye Kit. Haven't tried either (I am at work).

And a new lip gloss, and I am loving it!!! It's by Lorac, and the color is "glam".The coupon wasn't good for lorac products but I've been wanting to try this for a while now. I'm so glad I picked this up! I put it on when I got back in the office and I can't stop looking at it in the mirror. Very pretty color. I want Elite next!

Okay ladies...another question.

So I used all my new makeup today and then went to work. When I left, it looked great. A few hours later, I was pretty shiny. Are there any products I can use when I do my makeup to help prevent shine?

I hit paydirt today!!! The only conditioner I can use because it is sooo moisturizing and full of slicone to tame my hair is Charles Worthington's Moisture Seal. I ran out about a month ago, and by the time I finally went out and bought more, my hair was fried. I had to use an extreme treatment to get in back in any reasonable shape. I was afraid I was going to have to cut it off, but, once I started using the Moisture Seal again, my hair got so much better.

Well, the company changed the look of the bottles. I haven't found it on sale anymore, so I've been paying $8.99 for it at Rite Aid, full price.

I was in my Big Lots-type closeout store today and I spotted a shelf full of the old style bottles. They were trying to get rid of them for the new bottle design. I snagged 12 bottles for only $2 each! :cool1: :dance3: :yay: :woohoo:

That's what reapplying transparent powder is for. I visit a friend at times on TV/Film sets here (when I can.) And they are always brushing on more powder on top of makeup for touch ups and to reduce shiny noses & foreheads, etc.

Have a lip question. I never keep lipstick on and just don't reapply so I end up hardly wearing it. Someone tonight at football practice mentioned a Chanel product that you put on before and after the lipstick to keep it on for hours - anyone know what this is or any other alternatives?

PS. I am addicted to watching the youtube videos for makeup application :)

"When I discovered You Tube I did not work for five days...I just kept watching.."

Michael Scott, The Office

Seriously, I love the videos...did you check out Lanaindiana or Gossmakeupartist? they are my favorites.

Change of subject, my friend who always buys tons of make up and never uses it gave me a bag of Trish Mcevoy, Chanel, Kat Von D, Stila, Therapy, Benefit, Lancome, and a few other names all UNUSED. I seriously do not know why she buys it because she ends up giving it to me in the end. It was like Christmas! really! Shadows, Blushes, Chanel pressed powder and face illuminator. Gosh I love make up!
