I have to ask...does anyone know what's up with the vibrating mascara? I just saw an ad for it in my magazine and well, a vibrating mascara brush?!?! :confused3 :rolleyes1

Check back a few pages...we had the Ah...VIBRATING mascara discussion a little earlier. I have so many good lines concerning it but I have to control myself because I like being on the Dis.:rotfl:

Thanks! Checking out those products now.

I'm used to using a pencil for eyeliner though (drugstore... no favorite... I just buy whatever catches my attention). I'm assuming smudgepot liner has to be applied with a brush? Is that going to be difficult to do? I can't imagine doing my upper lid with a powder and brush... Lower lid, yes, but upper? :scared1: But for $12, guess it can't hurt to try!

I did order the Monistat stuff last night. The 3-pack at Amazon. Not sure if it was the powder gel that I can use as eyelid primer or not. It was the stuff for the face. I'm assuming it can be used on eyelids as well?

Not sure if I have an Ulta store near or not. Guess I'll have to look that up. :)

Yes you need a brush for the Smudge Pots but the name is kind of misleading because once you put it on it does not come off. In fact you need to sumdge it immediately before it dries. Recently I got the thin angled brush at Ulta it was 2 for 14 on sale and it works great for putting on the liner. If your eyes are small or deep set you want to put the liner just onthe lash area NOT all over the eye dark colors will make the eye look smaller. Keep the cap tight too. Monostat can be used on your eyelids.

OMG! LOL!

I read *29* and thought "gee, she has a lot.... I don't have that many"

I have 29 as well. We're brush sisters.

I didn't include that itty bitty Stila set of 3 Travel Ones I got of Beauty Crunch. I figured those didn't count.

You know, now that I sit here... I have 2 more I havent opened yet, from Everyday Minerals, put away. :sad2:

We're not sisters anymore. :guilty: :sad1:

Alright - this whole thing is sick. :headache::rotfl:

OMG I should not have done this I have 57 brushes and three eyebrow brush combs.I do have two expensive MAC THis does not count the traveling brush set I keep in my purse with about 6 or more I did ot count. NOw again and not by way of an excuse but I did buy 3 Borghase brush sets at Costco (they are great by the way ) for 21.00 each set. BTW if they have them again at Costco at Christmas time you all need to get a set.

I love Lip Fusions Color Gloss Plumpers. LOVE THEM!!!

I know a lot of the girls on here like Buxon Lipglosses, though. I bought one, and ended up returning it. It just didn't float my boat.

Check out Lip Fusion:

Oh WOW! $38 for a LIP GLOSS!!! :faint: You are positively evil!! ;)

That gloss had better make my lips like Angelina Jole's for that price!

What kills me is that I just spent close to $40 on "junk" make-up from Rite Aid yesterday morning. I could have spent it on a lip gloss instead....

Still deciding between the smudgepots and Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencil. Has anyone used the pencil? I need something that is going to glide on since I'm a lot older than most of you (cough wrinkles cough). And... something that will stay put for the rest of the day.

Price is pretty similar, so just need to decide which is better quality.

And good morning to my beautiful friends! :grouphug:

I am no spring chicken either I am over 40 and the smudgepots work well it is all in the brush if you ask me (all 57 of them) but I found the best brush was the angled brush I got from Ulta and it was cheap. 2/14.00. Check out the Ulta site. If you read the whole thread then you will know how much I postively hated Ulta in the past but I will go anywhere for a good makeup deal.

ETA: Ulta is offering free shipping when you spend 25.00 you can get a ton of make up for 25...as I said I like their polish and the eyeshadow. They have a kit for 17 with a most of their products and if you do not care that they are made in China then it is a good deal. check it out www.ulta.com

Here's $25 Lip Fusions: http://www.vonmaur.com/default.aspx?Sale=y&search=y&Function=Product&ProductID=7560

Check out the color swatches on Sephora for a better idea of them, though. :)

And I would do the SmudgePots. They stay put muchmuchmuch better than any sort of pencil, and it does glide. It's good stuff. I'll be 36 next month.

Whew, I feel a lot better, and I counted everything I had, including the little folding metal lash comb I got at Target, saved for traveling, then totally forgot about when I went to WDW last month and took my big one.

I may have to try the Lip Fusion. Does it sting? I don't mind the tingle but I can't stand the sting. Speaking of lipglosses, have you ever tried the Chanel Glossimers? They get a lot of love over at MUA and I'm tempted to try one. They are $28 though, which is getting pretty steep for lip gloss. I rarely go over $18 for lip gloss ( Buxom lips) and I cringed when I laid out $22 for the Stila gloss in Ocean Current (loving the color, not loving how it doesn't seem to stay on very long).

Is it a bad thing that I have two eyeliner brushes and no pots of eyeliner? One came in my Too Faced Set and another was a gift from a friend (the same one I gave my plastic eyelash comb). I keep saying I'm going to try Fluidline or Smudgepots someday. But I have three bottles of Revlon liquid liner and seven pencils as it is.

I do this crap, too! It's embarrassing (to myself!!) When I went through my makeup to count it, I was like "I forgot about this, and this and this and this! What a waste! :upsidedow

I may have to try the Lip Fusion. Does it sting? I don't mind the tingle but I can't stand the sting. It doesnt sting. Your lips feel numb, though. I don't know how else to describe it. Initial application feels numb. I turned to my son and asked "Do my lips look bigger?" He of course said "No" but I answered, "Because I feel like I could pierce my lip with no problem, right now." Buy it from Sephora so you can return it if you don't like it. OR - HSN has them now, too - if you order from them. Speaking of lipglosses, have you ever tried the Chanel Glossimers? They get a lot of love over at MUA and I'm tempted to try one. I dont know. $28 for a lipgloss that doesnt really *do* anything, though?? I think youre just paying for the name. Chanel had a blush (they probably still do) and the color I just fell in love with!! LOOOOVED it! But there was no way I was paying whatever it was for a blush simply because it was made by Chanel, though.

Theyre just fantastic, so much better than pencils. I used to use the Almay and Revlon liners - and those are nice, but these are nicer, KWIM?

:dance3:

Hello, I am new here :goodvibes

Thanks to many posts here I love Sephora! That store/site is awesome!!!:cool1::cool1:

Quick question. We are leaving this week to go on Vacation. Does anyone know if I can put my nail polish in my carry on (Quart Sized bag)? And what about Cream to Powder foundation? :confused3

I know a lot of us love OPI nail polish, but I'm not sure if you guys are also fans of China Glaze and Color Club. Both are amazing brands with some really amazing colors. Besides head2toe and transdesign there's also Victoria's Nail Supply. They have the lowest prices on ChG and CC polishes and they have awesome customer service and ship super fast. I ordered on Tuesday and had it Thursday afternoon.

Also a huge thing at the IMATS this year was lip tar from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. They're liquid lipstick that go on like gloss but are opaque and dry to a satin finish. They come in some bizarre colors, but they're meant to be mixed to make your own custom colors. They're more of a pro product than consumer product, but they're AMAZING.

Do you guys watch Denise Richards on E? Her friend (who I dont really care for, but....) has a makeup line: Primp. Denise was doing a Photo SHoot for her. I'm gonna Google that brand, she what she has.

But that being said, next week she's going back to her hometown. Did I ever tell you one of my son's teachers, was also her teacher? You can see my town. :)

OK.....

I'm going to order the trio of smudgepots from beautycrunch since I have NO IDEA what color liner I should wear with my eyes. Was hoping for a dark purple, but I can't seem to find that color...

Now I'm trying to find a brush. Beautycrunch also has these 2 mini-brushes for only $5. I was thinking of trying them because I can then decide if I like the small pointed one for precision or the wider flat one... Should I go ahead or would that be wasting my money?

I've got those. Theyre good (the brushes) :thumbsup2

And FYI - the trio of liners comes with a pretty decent usable brush, as well. :)

And I mixed the 3 of those colors together in an empty pot. I found myself mixing them anyways on my hand, so I figured why not.

The beautycrunch Stila brush set is really tiny you do get a pointed brush with the stila trio set. I got the 500 set and it is really tiny but if you want to take it with you it is good for travel. Don't forget to watch for Ulta bogo on brushes check out their website they are not on sale yet but they will be probably at the end of the month.

Thanks :thumbsup2 I have this fear that if I put all of my makeup in a checked bag somehow it will get lost...:sad2:

I -do not- check my bags for this reason.

I was picking up my g/f fromthe airport, and when she got her bag, her entire makeup case was gone. The whole thing... gone! :sad2:

I've never check again, since then. I travel with guys (my husband and 2 sons) so I'm able to use their 1 quart bag, too.
