Hi y'all............I'm here to give an update on my Clarisonic. I have had it for almost a month now and I'm still IN LOVE with it!!! I have started to get compliments on my skin, which I have NEVER gotten before.....Every time I just happen to touch my face during the day I'm like, wow....my face feels so soft and smooth!!!! Also the couple of brown spots that I had are almost faded to nothing!!! I know it is a pretty big purchase but I personally think if you can afford it you should at least give it a try!!! I use mine at least once a day.....some days I may use it twice but definitely use it every morning. There is also a newer version out there that comes with a body brush and it has two programs...one facial, one body......at a higher price of course, but the original is still available. I really don't think I would have preferred the new one though because usually I jump in the shower and I'm out as fast as I can.....so I don't think I would have wanted to spend the time doing my whole body with the brush. I just wanted to give an update because I know some were wondering when I first bought it if I would continue to see results.......

Toodles!!!

When you got the Clarisonic did you continue to use your normal skincare products? Have you tried the skincare that Clarisonic sells?

Alright.. I just can't follow this thread:flower3:.. there's so much posting.. I am going to make an attempt to read through it this evening...

Just wanted to add that i just purchased the bumpits.. I really can't wait until they come in.. and i really hope they work.. i'm tired of backcombing for some added volume and hight!!

Let know how you like the bump-its. I want to try them because all the backcombing I do is doing a lot of damage to my hair. Did you order them online?

I need advice for Disney make up!

I'm in California, so I'm not used to make up for humidity. I am looking for recommendations for waterproof makeup, preferably with sunscreen so I don't have to add another layer, and multipurpose products are a plus. Special bonus points if items come in travel sizes! :)

I currently wear Everyday Minerals mineral foundation in Multi-tasking Neutral. I don't think it will hold on me for a full, sweaty day, and I'm open to suggestions for alternatives. I have PORES like caverns and seriously dark undereye circles (using Bobbi Brown concealer.)

I usually add a layer of mascara (I'm not in love with the one I'm using currently) and eyeliner (MAC pencil, brown) and a bit of tinted lip balm (Neutrogena usually, but I am looking for other options with SPF) and I'm on my way. I'm fairly pink in the cheeks and don't need much blush, but I have a few for when I want a different color. At the end of the day, my eyeliner has always migrated down to the dark circles, so I could use some suggestions for something water proof or with more staying power. I put the liner between my lashes for a darker lashline, rather than above the lashline/on the eyelid, so maybe that's my trouble.

What are your best makeup suggestions for going to Disney World? I want to look good in the numerous pictures! :)

Hey guys! I haven't popped by in awhile but wanted to come share something I learned about the wonder product that is Monistat AntiChafing Gel. Not only does it work fabulously as a primer, and fabulously as it's intended purpose (chafing - esp in the summer in skirts), but it also works on your feet when a shoe is rubbing. I tried it a few months ago on a pair of pumps that were rubbing my foot. Slathered a little on there and :woohoo: no more rubbing and hurting!

I keep a tube in my purse now

Just wanted to add another option to those of us loving this product so you can give it a try and see if it works for you!

I didn't use the cleanser that came with it.......not the Clarisonic one anyway.....I did try the Kate Somerville one that came with it but I like my Neutrogena cleanser that I use so I went back to that.....I have been using the Dr. Denese products (creams, facial firming pads) and continued to use those.........I am just really happy with how my skin looks and feels now. It seems like the products are absorbed better.......

CAn I have more info on the firming pads please? I use Thinny Chin from Bliss on my neck but ....it is just only okay.

Also my friend the make up addict who only buys and never ends up using it gave me a bag today. She had a bunch of nail color including a couple of Macs and then a Lancaster Bronzer anyone use anything Lancaster?

BTW has anyone see Cathryn Rose? She has not been on in a while.

Did you guys all know that MAC has a friends and family sale? I guess there was one in JAN and it was 25% off everything. I am home today because I reinjured my knee and as we all know the lap top makes a nice warm compress for a sore knee:rotfl: Anyway I stumbled across this and then I saw one for 15% off from JUne 11 to 16 the only problem is I cannot figure out if it is from 2008 or if it is from this year.

Anyone who is better at finding things on the computer want to give it a try? I will keep looking but apparently they had a sale in April too. I am guessing that they have a sale each quarter. Someone here used to work for them and they said that the new lines come out in April and June (I do not remember the other months) but I am guessing they do it to emtpy inventory for the new stuff.

Ok Bella ~ Here is the continuing saga of dec5girl and the elusive Stila Smudge Pots!

I had to take my daughter to the mall for something last night and since the mall is 40 minutes from home and I don't go very often I decided to just buy a dang smudge pot and at least I can see if I like it. So guess what, they are sold out! (Well, in black at least.) So I got the Smashbox product that is about the same thing and a brush also.

Today I was so excited to wear it because I have been wearing these crappy Sephora brand eyeliners for a couple months and they disappear by lunch. I think so far I love the gel liner.

I heard that one of the makeup sites (Temptalia I think?) was saying that there is plans for a F&F. I promptly signed up for emails from MAC. :rolleyes1 So far, no F&F emails and no talk of massive MAC purchases on MUA (well, non more than usual). So I don't think there is a code...yet.

Here is some info on the pads from QVC's site:

What is it: A set of 100 daily firming pads infused with Actizone Firming Factor, a unique cocktail of ingredients. Each pad delivers exfoliation, radiance, improved skin tone and clarity, and helps reduce the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and pores in one easy step. After just one use, skin is firm, exfoliated, and radiant; visible pores are smaller; and skin tone appears more even.

Who is it for: Anyone with dull, lackluster, or uneven skin tone, a lack of radiance and firmness, large pores, fine lines and wrinkles; and anyone who wants their makeup and other skin care items to work better and desires a dramatic change in the look and quality of their skin.

Why is it different: This pad system is designed to deliver instant exfoliation and firming to the skin--just like Dr. Denese's signature, professional-grade glycolic peel. Each pad is infused with innovative ingredients like peptides, glycolic acid, and alpha lipoic acid to address lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, large pores, and lack of radiance to the skin. Innovative Actizone Firming Factor works to deliver the skin that you want under the skin you have. Results are visible and quick.

How do I use it: Every night after cleansing, take one pad and wipe the entire face area, avoiding the eyes, for a fully exfoliated, youthful, radiant appearance.

---------------------
I use one every night after I use my clarisonic and then I use the Dr. Denese night cream. I really do love the pads.....I just bought the 100 count jar of them. There are also some clinical results on the QVC site that are really impressive.....if you look up the pads on QVC's site then go to the "Product Benefits" tab you can see the results.....

Hey ladies. Hope you don't mind if I chime in here and ask a question.

I want to try the MAC lipglass - well, I think I do. Anyone have a review? I typically like a mauvey, more purple shade or a purple-pink. Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

Thread newbie here:) - not really a big makeup wearer but _am_ a big moisturizer wearer. Sooooo, 2 things I was wondering if you guys know about:

- you know that face/eye GEL that Clinique sells and was used as part of there 'giveaway' 6 or months ago? (I do buy Clinique stuff now and then..) Is the anything out there that is similar but not so expensive? I:love: it but am about out and cant bring myself to spend that much for it. It is so light and non-greasy, but really feels good. (doesnt clog my poor pores like so many do.):cloud9:

- In this modern world of magical firming lotions and exercises is there any thing that REALLY works for turkey neck? gobble gobble....

Thanks!!!

Oh, I want to try that too, but am afraid too. I am planning on going to pick up some new mascara this weekend, so maybe I'll break down and try it. I know they will take it back if you don't like it (at least that is what I was told before.) I'll let you know if I do try it.

Hello! Not exactly lipglass but I have MAC Plushglass in "Posh It Up" and love it a lot. This is coming from someone who has four Buxom Lips glosses and thought I would never stray. I keep Posh It Up in my purse because it is a "my lips but better" color that goes with everything. Some complain that it smells like Play-doh and it really does but I kind of like it  I would like to find it in the same color you are looking for. But I do have a pretty mauvey lip gloss, Buxom Lips in "Dolly". puckerup:

I have a 50 gc my Dh gave me for bday and I wnat to hold of spending it so I can get the most for my money. I tried to sign up for the e mail from mac and I have the hardest time getting on the site or sigining up. I am going to go and try again. What if it is 25per cent...I am almost afriad ....I mean might have to sell my house just to pay my mu bill.LOL

also had anyone heard this that the ULTA make up is made by mac?

I finally signed up on makeup alley so I could read reviews and most of them were good. It is not supposed to be sticky, so that sounds like a win to me. If you get it, post back if you do/don't like it. I'm looking at trying one also. Now what color.....
