I think I am going to have to go back a few pages and check out what's going on with Monistat!:rotfl2:
As far as eye stuff, I am looking for a good waterproof mascara, eyeliner, and some light shadow. I guess maybe a primer will help to keep it from immediately sliding off my facethe minute I leave the hotel room.
Seriously, dh put one of our hmoon pics up on Facebook. I was horrified. I control who sees what pics from FL in Aug.!

Any eyeshadow/liner can be made to stay put through ANYTHING with Benfit SheLac :thumbsup2

Hello ladies!

Well, it took me forever, but I finally read through the whole entire thread. I have a list of great new products to try and of course, I already have monistat on my face.:lmao: I think I'll try the milk of magnesia next.

Speaking, of skin care, what lines do ya'll use that works well for oily/combo skin. I've been using the Clinique 3 step and it used to work great, but lately my skin has gone crazy with breakouts and such.:confused3 I'm thinking of switching to Philosophy. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, we have an Ulta opening here on Friday. I was all excited about it, until I read all the problems that ya'll have had there.:sad2: It's 2 hours to the nearest Sephora, so I can only order online from them. I was looking forward to being able to go into Ulta and see everything and try stuff on. Oh well, it's a store full of beauty products, I'll definitely be excited anyway.:thumbsup2

Thanks for letting me join in on the fun!

Oh I like my Ulta, I think it depends on the store. It's sort of a combo of high end products and drug store products and has a full service salon in the back of the store. Sephora has more high end. Ulta (at least my Ulta) has a HUGE selection of salon shampoos and conditioner and the biggest display of OPI nail products I have ever seen. I use some of the Ulta brand makeup (the eyeshadow and foundation) and am impressed with the quality. Make sure you sign up with their frequent buyer card and get on their mailing list. They have coupons all the time, but the majority of them exclude the high end things.:headache: Sephora's coupons are much fewer and farther between, but since they only sell stuff Ulta would have excluded anyway, it kind of evens out, KWIM???

Like I said earlier, there is a JCP Sephora (which is smaller than the stand alone Sephora) opening about 30 minutes from me next month. But even if a stand alone Sephora opened up down the street from my house, I'd still go to Ulta for OPI and hair care products.

i'm not sure if this has been posted yet but Urban Decay is having a 30% off sale everything on their website. Promo code is FNFS9. I think it runs until 4/17. :goodvibes Urbandecay.com

I was playing with eyeshadow yesterday and did a rainbow eye, like this:

...but better. :snooty:

I tried to take a picture, but I can't figure out what setting these people use for these perfect eyeshadow pictures. Anyone have any insight?? I have a great camera, too (Canon S3 IS) In fact, I think the camera is too much for me. I'm not a photographer... no clue what all the stuff means.

Anyways, it looked cool - not that I'd ever have anywhere to wear it...ever!! :rotfl:

I'd be half tempted to go to Chicago's Gay Day Parade - or Disney's Gay Day's cuz it looked so fun. ;):rotfl:

And - am I the only one who looked at that picture and thought "She needs to pluck!" ??

It has not been posted! Thank you! :thumbsup2

CR - that must've been so cool. Wish you could get the pic. I too would love to know how these girls take those shots. I belong to another makeup board and the girls are always posting such great closeup shots of eyeshadows. Mine look like a blurry mess when I try. :confused3

YES! Or when theyre not blurry, the flash drowns out some of the color saturation - so them you don't use the flash and it doesn't appear as vibrant as it does in real life.

I have no clue what theyre using. I even tried the MACRO setting on my camera...nothing looked right. :confused3

Thanks Miss Park Avenue! I'll definitely be spending time in the OPI section. I wonder if they have a big grand opening thing with giveaways and stuff. That would be great. :goodvibes

Thanks for the suggestions. Sadly, I don't think Central IL carries a large selection of these products and I prefer not to order online unless I have tried them first. However...I visit the Chicagoland area frequently, so I will hit Ulta or Sephora (love it!) next time!
CR- Can you get Two Faced off with eye makeup remover? Also, yes, Rainbow Brite needs a plucking- very Brooke Shields-ish.

Oh! Someone on the other board did suggest a piece of TP over the flash or just taking the pics outside with no flash. And applying heavier if you know you are going to photograph it. Sorry to hear macro didn't work as I have a macro lens on the way and thought it would. Poop!

Oh yeah - it comes off with soap too, but it's just a bigger challenge. I was just trying to show how water proofy it is. ;)

I've worn it to the waterpark umpteen million times and it is still there when I get back to my room. No running, smudging - nothing.

I wear mascara and tinted lip balm to water parks. :)

Are there 2 different formulas? Because my lash injection is most definitely NOT waterproof. It comes off very easily with just water in the shower. Which I actually like because I very rarely go in the water and non-waterproof suits my purposes just fine. I'm just wondering if this is something I need to watch out for next time I buy.

Use and abuse Ulta.....theyf give away tons of free stuff on the opening. Go
for it and then just go back to the sephora website to order your product. .Ulta is useless as far as I can see. I do not know anyone thinks that ULTA is worthy enough to lick the eyeshadow off of Sephora's boots. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I have an Ulta up the street from me, shop there all the time and never have a problem :confused3 I even see a stylist there. Sephora is just not anywhere near me and honestly, I like the varied selection at Ulta better than Sephora anyways. I'm not sure why some people have had such an issue with them :confused3

What I'd like to see added to post #1 would be the link someone posted where you can get really cheap OPI nail polish.

I'm going to look through the thread and see if I can find it. While I'm at it, I'm going to look through for the info on a cream that works for puffy under eyes....

I use OPI Nail Envy. I really think it works. I am typing now and the only problem is my nails are too long, they go under the lap top keys.

If you want discounted OPI products go to transdesign.com
they have all the opi discounted as well as other brands.

YOu can also try head2toebeauty.com they also discount I check back between the two to see which one has the cheapest prices.

I also use www.cosmeticmagic.com they are great and it has been my experience that all three of them ship and you get it in about three days with no extra expense NOT like Beauty Crunch who makes me wait for DAYS!

Found the OPI links that I'd love to see in the first post!!! :teeth:

Yes, cheermom, you have to buy it online. I tried so many different products for my puffy eyes and with my son's pending wedding I kept trying different items (and not being happy) decided to try Revitalume!! I am very happy with the results. Yes, a tad bit pricey but a better deal when you select the free option and are then enrolled in their rewards program.

Here are my previous posts.

Yours comes off with water??

What are other people's experiences? Mine stays on at waterparks!!

I have been washing mine off easily with my regular skin care cleanser and water. That being said, I have not tried wearing it in a water park type situation to see if it runs when wet. I think there is a difference between being splashed in the face and trying to wash it off with soap and water.
